These battery units are great...until they fail, they will fail. Warranty's are typically good for two years. That's a short time for such an expense. So where do you get them repaired? Last I checked, there are no service centers or repair shops for any of these units. They are a throw-a-way item upon failure after warranty. Open one up, the tech is impressive and astonishingly complex, also stuffed in a small space, which is good while they work. They (generalization for all battery powered storage devices) are very handy units, bear in mind the product will last at least until the warranty is expired. Know that going in, you will be less disappointed when it happens.

I agree to some point. This has a warranty of 5 years, but hopefully it will work for the advertised 3500 charge cycles. I wouldn’t be surprised if there would be a service network of some sort in the future seeing how many of these units are on the market. Generators aren’t cheap either where I live and they have their pro’s and con’s as well and most people don’t fix them if they’re broken.
