Yes, Leo I think is the best possible Indianized attempt for HOV. Although there was a Telugu remake (Gaayam 2) but Leo is more ambitious and while in a cinematic universe it brought Vijay's acting skills to its best potential

The problem is not with the movie but with people. People expected a mass action film with lokesh touch, but lokesh delivered a performance based character film. After two to three days of release people actually started appreciating the film .

LEO arrived on Netflix here in the USA and I was ready to watch. The interaction between Leo and the hyena awesome, would have liked even more. How Leo could keep out of sight for 20 years from the Das family. The craziness of some persons, family being important and the lenghts one will go to protect them. Learning Leo had a twin sister, to bad her role was so short. The fight scenes, on the edge of your seat excitement!! The amount of energy that Vijay Thalapathy had to use, the tension, all the emotion he showed, what he gave to his role, very much kept me anxiously waiting for the next scene. Vijay how you approach your gift of acting I greatly appreciate. Blessings for continued success.❤❤❤

The cinematographer mentioned that due to the tough location conditions and time constraints they didn't want to risk all the actors' energy for this one scene. So that's why they put efforts on VFX which involved just 1 car and a bike inside a set

That's for hyenas in general. There are four extant species of hyenas - Spotted Hyena, Brown Hyena, Striped Hyena and the Aardwolf. Out of them only Striped Hyenas are found outside of Africa. Striped hyenas are found in India, West Asia and Northern Africa. The Striped Hyena looks very different from the Spotted Hyena shown in that scene. They are smaller, elusive, shy and have pointy ears. They don't make laughing sounds and are gray-ish in colour. They have a mane on the top that erects when they are anxious.
No one will talk about how wild Hyena becomes his pet with just one patting.
