  • Enjoy 16 minutes of all the squeaks, rattles and roars of a classic fire truck on the road.
PS - the video ends abruptly because my camera mount collapsed. Then my phone somehow dialed 911 on its own! I had to tell them that there was already a fire truck on the scene :) They did not find it funny :(

In case you're wondering. Top speed = 65 MPH at ~2200 RPM. MPG = 6.3. And it's actually very stable at highway speed.

Sounds like, you were in 3rd gear on the freeway.

@@jamesrobinson8768 Thanks for watching James. I was in 4th gear. The rear end is a 3.90 with no overdrive. At 2200 RPM (governed limit) the speed is about 65 MPH.

@@littlesquirtthefireengine5478 lol. Glad you're not here in California with your truck because, The California Air Resources Board (ARB) Truck and Bus Regulation requires diesel trucks and buses that operate in California to be upgraded to reduce emissions. By January 1, 2023, nearly all trucks and buses will need to have 2010 model year engines or equivalent. Compliance requirements are currently in effect.
