great question... the spine is what separates the direction of hair growth so depending on the client's natural hair growth you will use a different stroke template. The rainbow stroke template is the most common. 👍🏻

yes you can use slant blades, u blades, flex or hard blades. any Microblading needle will work on a synthetic skin. however, using a U blade will be easier if you're using one of the two sides ( not the tip)

if you cross strokes the area where the two strokes intersect with be deeper and can cause a bleed out. instead you want to use the staircase technique which will make the strokes appear like they're crossing.

Instead use the staircase technique to make it appear as if strokes are touching. New to microblading. My instructor told us to cross the every end if our stroke. I thought it was not a good idea 🤔 not I have to break that habit
