You briefly touched on the number of variations. This is a critically useful feature and you need to explain it much better, For example it is possible that both have 4 variations but that Yamaha has a single button to select the variation and so not as convenient to you. It appears that Yamaha i50 may have only 2 variations in which case it is crippled keyboard and essentially useless.

You have note that he is recording yamaha through Casio audio in also microphone on Casio so it might have over processing. But if you hear it real/live then you will be blown out by Casio's voice. It's just my opinion. Opinion depend on person to person. Hope this helps you
Agree with you, but Casio's new AiX sound engine is a great improvement from their old technology and sounds a lot better, my vote is still for Yamaha's tone quality

Guys I had used the legendary Casio CTK-810IN and Yamaha PSR-E413 for many years in the past. 1. The rhythm styles in Casio had more lively touch, versatile collections and a lot of variations in single style. Yamaha ones sounded somewhat similar after listening six, seven styles. 2. The tone of Yamaha was better than the Casio in terms of sound processing. Although most of the String sounds sounded similar in Yamaha on the Line Output. 3. Navigation Panel on Casio was much better than Yamaha. Easy to get used to. 4. Casio had Piano style keys. Yamaha had softer bottom-half-cut keys. Depends on user to user preference. Overall for beginners, I would suggest to go with Casio eyes closed. More value for your money. You will NOT regret your decision !
After a certain volume output, the onboard speaker sounds start mixing with each other, so highly powerful onboard speakers also are useless beyond a point.

Very good presentation with great interest and enthusiasm! However it would have been still better if you had demonstrated Indian classical styles like kehrva, dadara,etc.
Those and a lot of other styles are excellent in quality, functionality and ease of use in I500 with Riyaz function and assignable knobs. So many Indian songs can be played on ragas on them. But unfortunately, even Yamaha doesn't demo them as accompaniment in their own videos, let alone others!

If you just want to play keyboard without doing much modification in settings and functions, then Yamaha is better for you. since it is easy to learn. but If you want to do it in a professional way my modifying each and every tone and rhythm by yourself by going deep into the function and setting., then you should go for Casio, but you have to put your time on it by researching every setting yourself. hope this helped you

After 2-3 years, still better products from both the companies will come at the same price!

Western tones in casio ctx9000in better than i500. Indian tones are also very good. i500 gave few extra effects like trill effect to santur etc. I went & tried both in live at store & finally chose ctx9000in. People might say Yamaha has better tone quality but that is not true. Only 3-4 tones in yamaha are better than casio. Also i have a Yamaha psr e403 for more than 9 years. i500 has same styles as those in e403...nothing changed

9000IN is a big wake up call for Yamaha. 9000IN is better than I500 in all the factors which are more attractive to a typical Indian buyer's mind! And some of the omissions like L R output and non back-lit memory bank buttons only irritate their fans. They are losing a huge market, which though is price sensitive and less informed currently but will be a big loss in the long run by allowing Casio to create monopoly. 15 - 20 K segment may be a beginner keyboard segment worldwide but it is the professional segment in India as we generally have mostly bhajan mandalis and orchestras as buyers and not deep pocketed rock bands. Yamaha is allowing Casio to become a serious keyboard manufacturers from just a toy maker.

Sir is there a midi connectors in both the keyboards and multi pad buttons.
Midi is in both but multipad?? Casio has phrase pad which is like multipad but yamaha does not have either of them

CT-X9000IN is superior to i500 both feature wise as well as Sound quality wise.
