This is why I never take my rides to the shop.......... I"m sure what he's doing in this video is incorrect......especially using the wrong fluids!!! Just FYI......Toyota is very specific on what to use when it comes to fluids. Thanks for posting and sharing or trying to help us brother...much appreciate it...however please use the correct fluids.
I thought the fill hole you used was rather the overflow and the fill hole is at the top of the transmission? You need to make sure you do not put too much fluid i thought. I may be wrong
Fill hole is at top of transmission youre correct, he filled it up at the fluid check hole lol that hole is to check when your fluid is full when it trickles down slowly. The bolt also has “check” etched on it
If you understand English and my video I told you how you have to do what you have to match the fluid whatever coming from the transmission you have to add the same thing
To check your transmission first thank you you have to do you have to start the car get the car gets hot I need to go to the second plug the one has check oil level transmission and open the plug if the wood floor start coming from that plug I mean the fluid is full if there is no floor coming from that side mean the fluid is low so this why you have to change the fluid on time if it's 60,000 miles required for Toyota drain and fill so when he drain the fluid do you know how much exactly fluid you have to add to the car and you can ask your dealership and ask them for train the fluid and add the fluid how much fluid I should add to my car thank you for watching my videos and good luck
Question i have a 2019 tacoma and i have an ob2 that can do transmission temperature what degrees does the truck have to be in order to check to see if your right on the Level
My recommendation just change the transmission fluid we don't change the filter because you still have low mileage When You Reach 120,000 then change the filter and transmission fluid
So many things I didn't like about this video. The sound for one thing, and he didn't seem to know what direction to turn the wrench, using the overflow to fill, (yes it can be done)but....., he tightened the hex-key so much that it started to strip, as was evident by how he had to yank it out when he was done tightening it because it had started to strip in the hole. In the comments he answered, "he knows exactly how much fluid the truck uses". But yet, he asked someone else and added more in the jug after that anyway. The overflow hex's do strip easy but you can buy another drain plug and switch it in place of the hex overflow one. Granted, you will have 2 of the same looking plugs then, but you you will have less chance of stripping problems. No mention of new crush washers or torque specs.
Bruhhhhhhhh that’s not the fill plug ahahaha … that’s the overflow relief plug . The fill plug is up on the side of the transmission. But shit , hats off to you for getting it done regardless. But I hope you wiped that jug out really well to get all that crap/ metal shavings out before you dumped that new fluid in
I thought you have to use the fill plug at the top????

MaxLife fluid is fine.
Meet Toyota WS standard.

To check the transmission fluid drive the car for 10 minutes or five then go check the transmission fluid one more time
@LessExpensivefix does this include Changing the filter same steps ?
How many miles do you have in your car
@@LessExpensivefix I'm at 69703 nearly at 70k😮

lol your right, also he needs to use Toyotas aft WS fluid. my buddy put that Valvoline aft fluid his tranny is not shifting properly now.
@@hitman37003 ..........Correct.....never use other fluids for Toyota Vehicles! Only use what Toyota states ...unless oil....
What if I wanna change the gasket and clean the pan?
Yes you could but make sure they have low mileage in your car

Didn't change the transmition filter?
You dont really need to. The "filter" is a metal mesh screen. Only needs to be replaced if it gets damaged, which rarely happens.
Ya this dude is way off don’t do it this way. Clueless
Wrong hole buddy..lol
