A custom steel canopy in profile with the cab roof would of look sick, also helps weight down the Hilux slightly.

I've got an ARB Sahara bar on my car but to be fair I don't think I've ever needed it. I've been to the cape a few times, around Aus, across Aus, High Country and I don't know how many Fraser / Moreton Island trips and I've never hit an animal. Any of these bumper replacement bars look pretty good to me. Good approach angle and a place to mount winch / lights / aerial. Good cooling. Rival is alloy too so no rust unlike my ARB bar. What's not to like?

Even though the vehicle is modded, and i has a decent ground clearance,
The bootom of the vehicle looks like it a lot closer to the ground.
Watching many different HiLux builds, all look like the bottom is lower to the ground compared to an Isuzu Dmax or if you want to compare to a higher end vehicle, a Tacoma.
ive not seen a Hilux irl, but im a 2019 V-Cross owner, thinking of getting the new 2021 Hilux.
But, its the lower bottom of the vehicle that is off putting as i would be scared to take it offroad over rocky terrain. ANd just because it has underbody protection, doesnt mean i will plow through the rocks and let the protection get damaged.

You’re right. And it’s a very valid concern. I’ve seen both Hilux and a Tacoma, side by side, and the Tacoma had a lot more ground clearance. (Both standard, fabric builds).

In Your video you state that your work and mods meet with OZ standards and are 100% legal, if this hilux had a 3" lift and 295/70/17 this surpasses the vehicle modification regulations. Has this vehicle had certification for these mods.

In the US and Canada we have the Toyota Tacoma. Good ute but not as solid as a Hilux. Mexico has the Hilux along with the Tacoma

Meets ADR standards? How did you guys get the oversized wheels approved? Tyre size diameter cant' exceed 50mm over the largest size on the placard. That is 775mm so 825mm is the limit. Yours are 838mm and 13mm oversize. Sure they fit and look great, but if he gets pulled over, or crashes the vehicle that could void his insurance if the insurance company wishes to avoid a payday.
If you have a way of increasing past this 50mm rule or 825mm max I'm keen to hear, as my 285 75 16's are 9mm oversized and my insurance company knocked back a minor claim because of it.
All that & it appears they still left him with that hacked up grille. SMH....
This beauty need more proper protection and storage sets, not just showoff bar, steps and soft roller tub cover

It looks good. But personally i hate adding plastic on the headlights and rear. Also the hood plastic feels like a cheap and useless mod. Also Not a fan of the bright colored underbody shields. Overall it looks like a build from a philippines autoshop. It looks a bit cheesy. Please take no offense just an opinion. Would love to have this but i think some plastics would have to go for me.
