- Welcome back for another installment of our series on the spiritual realm! If you are new to the show, welcome! You might want to check out the previous episodes in this series, as they build onto one another each week. So far the response has been overwhelmingly positive, and we are so glad y’all are enjoying this particular topic! It has been a blast for us to research and take a dive into this very interesting subject matter. This week we will examine the fall that took place in the Garden of Eden when the serpent tempted Eve. What’s really going on in this story, and what might’ve we missed in Sunday school? How can understanding this rebellion in its context help us know our Bible and know the Lord better? We are so glad you’re here, and hope you enjoy our take on this account from Genesis 3!

Hi Milena so happy you posted! This is off topic but would you ever consider doing a video on how the Christian church adopted pagan traditions such as Christmas, Easter and the bunny, valentines, Halloween, etc. since it all stems from demonic roots. Curious on your thoughts.

yes please! and how and when to deal with teaching our kids about this! my sons 2&1/2 and last year didn’t really understand santa, this year he certainly does and i don’t know how to address this subject 😩 his other cousins believe in santa and their parents are really into it and think i’m a crazy christian so i don’t want to ruin “their christmas” how ever i don’t want my son growing up believing it’s all about a guy with a white beard then to find out iv lied to him all these years, please pray and please help with your loving guidance

It's a bit hard to follow Jordan. I can track with Milena better. I've seen comments on recent videos telling Milena to stop cutting Jordan off and that he needs to talk, but she's just trying to clarify and make it concise. sometimes he is the only one who understands what he's saying and how it's connected. Milena made sense of some of it, but it almost felt like there wasnt a good outline for this episode. I love to learn and pick things up quickly and have been excited for this video, but maybe a more detailed outline of what you want to talk about beforehand would help the things that dont really make much sense when Jordan is just going off actually connect better.
I hear you! I am like Jordan, hahahah. From someone who speaks like him, I will say: It helps when you familiarize one's self with the sources that he studies. There's one specific person I know he researches material from (Michael Heiser), and it's a LOT of dense material. With just that alone, it's so hard to explain it in any sort of concise way. There's just so much to it.
But this video is a good example of why we aren't supposed to simply take someone's word, and go study various topics for ourselves. Like Jordan said, this is a "big can of worms." It's so difficult to reel it in.
@@jenniferk23 I understand he's getting a lot of this, most of it, from Heiser. But their point in this series is supposed to be bringing this in bite sized chunks (hence the multiple part series) to the rest of us. I'm extremely interested in the topic, but I'm also a military wife, momming 2 toddlers alone in another state away from home, apart from my husband for 3 months/simultaneously relocating for end of active duty service, etc. I don't have the time or chance to do a deep dive on my own into Heiser's work right now. But again, that's what this series is supposed to be. It's not that what he's talking about is wrong or "too deep", definitely not. It just needs to be presented in a way that flows. It needs an outline so hes not just jumping around everywhere. This is supposed to be a somewhat educational series, and I think this is a constructive criticism. My comment isn't the only one saying this episode is all over the place.

This episode was a bit all over the place. But I am loving this series. It’s so important we understand the spiritual realm as we are made in the image of God which is spirit. Can’t wait for the next episode. There’s so much to unpack. I don’t see an end to this series.

I haven't done a true Bible study in such a long time. I did buy and complete the Esther study by Milena. That and this series have ignited a true desire to study through everything I am reading like I used to such a long time ago. Not just read like I have been in recent years, but to truly study every word I am reading. Thanks for these! Y'all are doing good work!

Having Dr Heiser and Mackie on scholarly the other pastoral both men refreshingly unassuming, this approach is refreshing as it presents the things I've learned from these men in a more family friendly approach, me tending to be too technical are learning to be less technical and accessible.

I love Jordan's theory on who wrote the Bible. It has always been odd to me hiw different the writing style of Genesis is so different than the other books Moses wrote.

This is my second time watching this, I wholeheartedly appreciate Jordan’s knowledge that he brings. This man has gone to seminary school and is giving us FREE knowledge that has the power to break so many chains and we’re complaining about structure…..?
When watching this series I take notes and pause the video and rewind as needed. I love the free flow of the conversation and its authenticity. Milena mentioned in the very first video she’s allll over the place in her Bible reading, everything is connected, whether it’s old testament or new. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide your understanding with these topics and when doing Bible study afterwards, hopefully that helps with the structure issues.
I am binging this series and am SERIOUSLY seeing my bible reading change right before my eyes. The words are coming alive in a whole new way - Milena, you were not kidding. Next up on the binge: Dr. Michael Heiser books via Audible ❤ Thank you for your obedience in doing this series!!!
wow only 15 mins in right now, and had to pause to comment bc i got 3 pages of notes already lol mind blown, ive watched plenty of deep content for a few years now but like milena said, the way its like a conversation between them, really makes this even more amazing! thank you for this content and their courage, in creating this bold content, in end times like these.. I pray over their family and urge anyone else reading to as well bc with such annointing I can imagine the spiritial warfare that comes along..and wow jordon is so knowledgeable while gentle & patient while discussing with her, you can see his love for her, shes so blessed and beautiful and deserving. I've already seen god at work in her transforming her with growth and I know with so much wisdom from head of her house, they're responsible for doing so much good in the kingdom of god/the body of christ. i'm 3 months late to the party.. but wow! this series is everything i never knew i needed! i love how jordan provides a detailed foundation using historical and linguistic connections, and i love the way milena translates it in a way that's easier to understand. the bible is so amazing, and you both have done such a wonderful job with this extensive topic. i can't wait to listen on with the rest of the series!
The Lord commanded in genesis 1:28 to go forth multiply and replenish the earth. Replenish means to refill, not fill. So refilling from what? If we look into the earth ages then it explains the replenishing. I’m enjoying this podcast.

Wait the Bible doesn’t say that….. Balaam according to the Bible (not sure abt the torah) he doesn’t freak out when the donkey speak, it says that he actually beat the donkey, and then God gave the ability to the donkey to speak and ask why wa he beating him, then it does say that his eyes were open so he was able to see the angel of the lord who was blocking his way, that’s why the donkey was acting weird, then Balaam he bow down and realized he had sin when he saw the angel. But it never mentioned that he freak out or was surprise when the donkey spoke.

When you read the part about the King which turns into talking about satan it made me think of demonic possession because the King in his flesh may not have been in Eden but the spirit that dwells within him must have been.

I love the content and the series- but I also love seeing your two different styles of teaching and being patient with each other and working together regardless. I can see both of your passion for this well, in Milena's more structured way of teaching and Jordan wanting to paint a full picture because it's all important.
Just a thought but, with the word for serpent having a dual meaning for shining one and the idea of Moses being the editor of genesis rather than the initial author and the Egyptians having a serpant goddess Apopis (demon of chaos) it would make since if he (Moses) interpreted the dual meaning word and made it a "snake" rather than an angelic being since it would align with his upbringing. The external influence from Egypt added influence to his collaboration of the history texts hebread in the Pharoahs library.
This is so interesting! Loving this series. My church actually teaches a lot around this and encourages personal research and study through the Bible. My understanding is that the body + spirit (breath of God) = living soul. I don't believe God is saying we have souls but we are living souls/ have life because we have the combination of these other two elements. Remove one and we fail to be souls/ have life - we would be dead. Hence God says death is simply a sleep. The body still exists (it decomposes but still exists) but we are dead/ are unconscious because we no longer have the spirit (breath of God). This is why the dead in Christ will be physically (body) risen first (spirit/breath of God returned - souls again) and then their bodies transformed (corruptible must put on incorruption - 1 Cor 15). I understand what Jordan is trying to say but people who are spiritually dead are still living souls. They still have the body + spirit / breath of God and therefore are souls but are disconnected to The HOLY Spirit. They're not necessarily condemned to being spiritually dead forever unless they ignore the Holy Spirit and remain this way at death (no breath of God in the body) - as long a person has the spirit (breath of God) in their body The Holy Spirit continues to appeal to each living soul so they can choose to repent and fully ignite this connection by being baptised; allowing a spiritual transformation connecting us with the Holy Spirit - changing the life that He has given us.

This was so good, I’ve got so much more questions from this. Something that I am really interrested in in the bible are numbers. Lately I have been doing a lot of research on the trinity and something that catches my eye over and over is the number 3 in the bible… and not only when the bible talks about the Godhead but also in passages like Mark 9 like Milena read in the podcast. I would love to know more about this! ❤

Praise the Lord ❤ question if ever someone can answer - If Satan was cut off from the Lord and his kingdom due to his falling, why would he be in communication with him throughout the bible, like in the book of Job, when he is being tested and Satan takes everything away from the poor man. Why is God even speaking/communicating with him?

I hope this comment finds you.. I’ve been wrestling with the idea of if I need to be baptized again. I chose to be baptized at 13 years old very spur of the moment during a sermon, I can’t explain exactly what I felt but I was so overcome with joy and peace and an urgency to be baptized. At 16 my life took a drastic turn and I found myself running from God and living a promiscuous life. Fast forward 15 years and I’m finding my faith again. Of course I have prayed and asked for forgiveness, repeatedly because of my own guilt of my past. Now I find myself wondering, do I need to be born again, again?
When you mention our spirits need to be reconnected to God, and that it’s our choice, do you mean by being baptized in the Holy Spirit? Could you explain the different forms of baptism and their differences as well?

Does God’s forgiveness extend to the spiritual beings or how does that work? It just was a thought I had while listening. Obviously us humans are all sinners, but there is redemption for us. It seems like the spiritual beings maybe have a different standard?

If the rebellion of the watchers in Gen 6 was a rebellion that involves their procreation with women to create evil seed, was not also this first rebellion? (taking of fruit being metaphorical for sexual intercourse, and trees being metaphorical for family lines like how they are used in Daniel? One tree for the good which is God's instruction, and the other trees (the watchers) for evil?) Is it so farfetched to say that Eve's sin was to conceive with Lucifer an evil offspring, given the Bible's other allusions to sex this way? Lucifer's seed would have been Cain (Genesis 4:1 is missing a couple words from the masoretic text that would've clarified this, that Adam *saw* that Eve had conceived, therefore Cain is not his)

The recorded prophecies are so universal that they could apply to the king at that time, all those who have that same heart posture and mindset wether it’s 2024 or 1023 or 3150 because that prophecy ultimately belongs to the devil and describes the devil so all those who share in that description can expect to see that expected end. Just like how Jesus’s words were prophecy, universal and long lasting to be true no matter the year and to be applicable to the lives of those who it concerns which is why we can find our own personal prophecies in the bible about our own lives, anointing and mantles

Off topic- but would you ever consider doing a video on healing from the effects of pornography in marriage? I found my fiancé watching porn a few weeks ago and he lied to me and I’m having a hard time forgiving and healing from it. We are both Christians and getting married in one month and I am struggling entering our marriage knowing that happened.
Hi! I know this isn’t direct to other people but I wanted to advise you to please bring this issue to an elder in your church for wisdom/guidance on how to deal with this before marriage. It’s not a good foundation to have a relationship based on lying and porn involved (especially before bringing children into the family- if that’s what you want one day) it’s not something to take lightly and you have the freedom now to break free. It’s a blessing you know this now before committing to marriage.

By the grace of God we are getting help from a pastor at a biblically sound church , but if we could have gone back and sought help it would have saved me & us a lot of heartbreak

He is addicted because that is a specific weapon used on all people but more specifically, men.
Have compasion on his struggle because it is a hard thing to stop once you start especially if he started when he was young.
This addiction is unlike all others.Corn is free and easy to access (even on social media) and busting is physically addicting. There’s no other high like it and no other drug with that availability.
He must want to break the addiction and of course, acknowledge it as such.
It has nothing to do with you.
Get him to look into semen retention (btw you can still have sex in retention; he just has to not bust)
