It's funny. The day after I published this, I just bought a stock that's growing much faster, has wider gross margins, a roadmap to launch AI infused products and trades at less then 1/10th the valuation: www.unrivaledinvesting.com/products/unrivaled-nation/community/posts/2149397738
We are probably in for a healthy pullback - maybe that will last years - but in the long run people who doubt Palantir will be absolutely left in the dust. This is arguably the most important and certainly the most effective AI software in the world. Hold positions and buy on pullbacks as long as the fundamentals are still intact - This is how ordinary people build life changing positions.
The issue would be the multi year pull back. Nothing wrong selling half or more and buying the index right? At 40+x revenues, it is grossly overvalued in the near term. I bought this when it was at $12. Happy to offload it at $60 and buying the index.
@ I would say the multi year pullback would be a great time to add as long as the fundamentals of the company are still intact - but just depends on your risk tolerance - I bought not much higher than you, between 15-16, so I can relate to wanting to sell and move gains into a safer investment - it’s not a bad move and is definitely the safer play - And I do invest in indexes as well - but for me Palantir is a high risk high conviction play
@@oneforthemoney5579 I run a static portfolio with no more inflows, so I definitely can't add to the position without selling something and increasing concentration risk. It's sitting at 13% of the portfolio now and I'll likely take it down to 5% this week. If it gets away, it gets away. If it sells off, I'll have the option of adding.
I started buying PLTR from 4th quarter 2022 or 2 years ago. At that time, stock price was only $6. Lots of people said gravity still applied at that moment too😊
Every stock does. No one knows what's going on until after 3PM.. some people get it right while the other side was wrong. Happy Investing and Trading!!
People especially young folks are trying to get rich quickly...and they listen to all the RUclipsrs pumping this stock like crazy...it has nothing to do with valuation...it is a dream everyone is chasing. In the end some make money...some get burnt. The stockmarket became a minefield...😂
PLTR is a good company and I congratulate everyone who have been it. I've followed it but I just cant justify the valuation with the earnings and sales multiples looking at forward estimates. They would need to beat the estimates by an astronomical amount to justify the valuation in my eyes. Can it happen? sure...but is it likely? probably not. Even if you are long the stock, it's probably best to take at least sell SOME of it.
Just looked back and I sold 200 shares for $10 and felt good about it lol, little did I know. I thought that the were having difficulty selling their software, that each client required huge amounts of engineering help to set up the software, and that their revenue growth was struggling to hit 30% so that management was changing their tune about growth expectations. Haven't kept up with it since.
Buy all three the more greed and leverage the better 😂. Trumplicans are beholden to Theil, so Palantir will win government contracts. All the revenue that DOGE cuts will flow into Palantirs pockets 🎉. On a serious note, I’d look elsewhere to make money unless you want to gamble.
If you sold half, you could get back your original investment plus some. Then you could let it ride and let your profit drive the ship. Whatever happens, you still win.
4 times to sell a stock: 1. Business fundamentals are deteriorating. 2. You found a better investment. 3. Stock price is way overvalued as comparedto the intrinsic value. 4. You need spending money. Good luck!
@ i sold half at 30 and I’m ok with that because I got my initial position back. Whatever happens happens. PLTR is undeniably overpriced. But my thought is I can just let it sit and see what happens without worrying about anything.. I am ok with that. If you weren’t ok with that then you shouldn’t have sold. PLTR could go 10x someday, but it could have a correction and drop 60-70% as well. At the end of the day, it’s up to your risk tolerance
Also, Palantir is helping Ukrainians in the war with capabilities of early identification and targeting, also it’s AI cluster is helping predict Russian incursions … and since that war is a boom, so is the stock
What do you say about the HNST stock? It looks like a not bad growth stock at all at the moment with a new and experienced team and a CEO with a very rich background in experience
I had UPST , it ran up to $400, and then came down to $20 now at 68. Lesson learned , bulls make money , bears make money, pigs get slaughtered. I am thinking of buying it, but I am not betting the farm on it.
Whats funny is when it was around $20 and youtubers such as yourself were saying the same thing , maybe wait and hold and see , well those people got lost LOL and made $0 when the rest of us made shit tons on PLTR LOL
Profit only gets realized when you sell, my friend. If the stock price chart looks like the Eiffel Tower and you hold, well, I have bad news. Time will tell.
I remember him saying something similar when the stock was around $20. This guy is just very negative on almost everything. If the price goes down, just buy more.
Most get burnt. The same RUclipsrs who claim to make a fortune off PLTR are likely the same ones who got burnt by other horrible plays (HSNT, TTCF etc) back in 2021-22. Most end up with a portfolio similar to ARKK which is still massively underperforming the market.
Don’t sell analyst have got it wrong. There’s two billion shares outstanding I don’t see no one else selling the rich. Don’t want you to buy hold hold hold.
Hahaha, saw the video popped up, randomly. Had to check, his older videos, based on the comments I saw. If you listened to him before, you deffo lost potential money haha. Glad I keep holding, with a good average of 12,7 with 5k shares. No need for chasing here, just chilling while people like him will keep scream wolf, until one day he is right. Valuation is up there, and I've been ready since the 30's for a pullback. Pullback right now I could maxium see high 40's, low 50's. He can use these valuation metrics all he want, and Intel would be a better a buy any day, based on his data. He lacks a creative expansive mindset for sure. Same reason why lots of investors don't hit the Mag 7 companies in the early days, these Mag 7 companies were simply overvalued by his standards back in early 2000's or whatever Tesla like in year 2020. Anyone can see the numbers, and draw conclusions. Numbers that everyone can see, doesn't give you an edge. I use numbers all the time surely, to guide my next investment. Lots of investments and make in more mature companies, and mostly based on numbers. But a company like PLTR in my portfolio is less based on numbers, and more based on my imagination on where they can go, and then use the numbers for a guiding tool. My imagination led me to buy ton of Tesla in 2016, and my imagination led me to buy lots of PLTR around 8-15 in 2023. Working out so far. 27 years old now, with net worth of 850k translated to USD. I will keep on watching the show of retail bears showing up, screaming wolf, while it's actually the tutes that is chasing PLTR, and not retail haha. Here we can use numbers, maybe he should look at instutional ownership the last many weeks, and compare with stock price action. The OG retail community aint selling, maybe trimming off the top, the enjoy some big gains, but it's the tutes bringing the price here and not retail.
Glad I ignored the naysayers and bought and kept - valuation alone cannot value a stock like NVDA or PLTR, this maybe the NVDA of software and OS for all things AI in the enterprise - get in the story slowly and keep DCA if you believe in the underlying leadership moat position of the company.

NVDA has never been nearly as overvalued as PLTR is currently. Nvidia has never gotten above 40 P/S, PLTR is currently sitting at 55 P/S.
