And here I am, 4 years after this was posted... I loved this video, it was long but the good kind of long because of how much you demonstrated, answered a lot of my questions. Thank you so much, keep up the amazing work!
Don't know how many people still have it, but if you still play Farm Simulator 13 or are still playing it for the time, you can use the mixer at the bio-gas plant.
You make the best videos I have seen about this game. Im new to this game and whenever I want to know more about anything about it, I look for your videos. I really appreciate what you have done. You have clarified everything for me. I really appreciate it.
"suck this up and push that in" has taught me a lot over the years. thank you for all the info you shared in the video, i needed a good laugh so im glad i watched the whole video lol
Very well explained and very good commentary. If you were on PS4 I would hook up and play with you on Farming Simulator 15. I do have steam, but my PC does not handle gaming all too well. We have family that were farmers and I enjoyed spending time on their farms. It really makes you value the hard work these men put in throughout the day(s).
Oh boy...Bumpercar Chapman! Im not sure I followed all that video with your different methods, but I think I got the general idea and that's still better than my by guess and by gosh method.
Your videos are the absolute best out of all videos on here!!! I am playing along with my wife on Xbox One. I seriously wish you played on the One. Would give anything to have a farming crew. I want to thank you for all of the help! I am also from Ohio BTW!
Hey could you do a video on the different fertilizers most efficient/ coverage? For example; slurry, manure, sprayers, spreaders. My biggest issue is that when I hire a worker to fertilize, no matter which manner, they run out of material but keep going any ways. And when that happens does it actually effect the yield? Also I can't get the ZG-B to work with my larger tractors, if I use a weight the workers will not use it.
I enjoyed your tutorial. You were commenting about 24 minutes in on real life farming and the US farmers not using so much equipment. I grew up in farm country and worked baling hay and straw starting around 12 users old. Yes, hat is cut grass but the different types of grass determinethe quality and value of the hay. Alfalfa and clover for example are good quality horse hay. Regular grass hay is just cheapo cow feed. As far as drying goes, nobody buys machines to turn the hay. They just let the cut hay lay for 3 days to dry. The farmers plot schedules to do a field one day, then another field the next. Then a third the following day. Then they bale field #1 while cutting field #4. And just repeatthe process all summer long, praying like crazy that it doesn't rain on their cuts. Baling involves one flat bale baler hooked to the tractor with a flat wagon hooked to the baler. The farmer drives the tractor, the baler makes the bale and sends it up a ramp to us guys (1 or 2) standing on the rolling flat wagon. We would grab and carry the bales to the rear of the wagon and start stacking in an alternating pattern, 5 per tier, 4 high, then 4 on top. Then forward until the wagon was full. About 125-130 bales per wagon. Then off to the side of the field to drop and switch wagons and start all over. Ending the day with a long wagon train of 5 or 6 full wagons rolling back to the barns where we unloaded it all.
Hey Arthur watching some of your old vids in real life we don't make hay bales to make silage we make grass bales and wrap them to make grass. Hey from Ireland
Honestly, I just farmed wheat until I could afford a scorpion and the buffalo, then I planted Fur trees by the lumber yard. You make 50k a tree on average and once you get good at using the scorpion, cut logs 8m long. Then I purchased the big Field and saved up for windmills. Then while you log increase time to ×120. You make 4k every windmill you have every 30 seconds. With more windmills you make more money. I don't even waste time farming fields or cows. Lol I may get into it for something to do but I have a fat bank account now. Can do whatever.
+Arthur Chapman Hello! I have another question. I don't know if you talked about either using the sprayers vs the manure spreaders. Which option do you think will give you more production on the field? And another question I have, I don't know where I read it, is that with the manure spreaders you can spread once and it will be good for at least three seeding, but I'm not sure. As always, thank you in advance!!!
+Mariano Lloret-Canosa Ok, so Manure VS Fertilizer VS Slurry = the same thing. None of them do anything different :(. They all produce the exact same amount of crop. NOW if you are using the soil mod 2.0+, They give you different effects. Manure spread on the the field will give you moisture for 2 days and NPK nutrients. If you plow or cultivate the Manure into the field, you get even more NPK. Same with Slurry. Lime will also work better if plowed under instead of just spread. None of them last more than one harvest. Hope that helps!
+Arthur Chapman Ok just to let you know I'm playing the game on the PS4, so I don't have access to the mods. So since I'm producing the manure and the slurry, the cost will be cheaper than using the fertilizer?
Mariano Lloret-Canosa Heck yeah. Manure is a byproduct of cows. As long as you give them straw, their bin will fill up with Manure. Then you just use a spreader to spread it on your fields. Its free. Slurry is the same, but its a byproduct of making silage. The more silage you make, the more slurry you will have. The only downsides to either is that they run out fast, so you will still need to use fertilizer to finish the job.
Hey Arthur great video as all ways, followed your silage vid to the book and made a ton of money and i know you said only buy what you need but i cart help it been buying all sorts :) but still got 3.5 mill in the bank and about 6 fields of of chaff to come in today. Once thats done going to start on the cows. Anyway keep up the good work P.S beinng coming to you site for i bit now and thought i was subbed and was not but am now :) P.P.S sorry for long post
American farms are actually pretty impressive. i had a buddy that would let me hunt on his property. he owned about 5-6 sqaure miles. had ppl mostly doing the work for him and he just played with a lot of cool toy and he was just growing soybeans.
Putting bales on flat trailer is really nightmare. Cost alot of time to put bales on trailer and isnt worth it. Maybe in RL is okay to have that trailer but in FS isnt. Really pain in the ass. Recommendation is buying auto trailer for bales. I play all FS and i always buy trailer for square bales. Its really easy to handle and unload bales
I didn't have the money for the wrapper so the cheaper mixer and normal fermented silage for me to begin with. I also don't see the need for the shredder cause you probably have a forge wagon for picking up the straw for the bedding
if you don't want the round bales to roll down the hill you reverse the baler till its at 90 degrees to the hill angle so the bale can't roll down the hill
Great videos! I also learned that you can use a pick up trailer for straw/hay for the cows bedding material. It will load them up for the max 6 days pretty quick.
How are you bailing the grass into round bales. And also what bales are you wrapping to make silage when I try hay bales it says it isnt compatible. Hopefully you can help. Love the vids
I am using this mod - www.farming-simulator.com/mod.php?lang=en&country=us&mod_id=3895&title=fs2015 - please note, you will not be able to wrap these bales. You can only wrap grass that has been tedded (hay). You cannot wrap straw (what the combine leaves behind).
I am not sure the exact ration, but its much lower - Usually I just put straw in until it won't take any more. Then each day I dump a little more in, but once its 100 percent full, it will last for 6 days.
thank you, im trying to make a cow ranch, but its really slow, the grass when mowing is so little. btw is there any limit on the cows? i bought a 1000 chickens and the eggs still very few.
Hello Arthur! How are you? Quick question sir, I'm a little confuse on the process of making manure for the greenhouses! What do you use to make manure? Thank you sir, always enjoying your videos!!!
ok, to get manure you need to put straw in the cow pen. You can either collect straw with a loading wagon and dump it into the cow building (each cow facility has a covered portion where you can dump it), or use the mixing wagon. simply fill the mixing wagon with straw bales and then dump it in the pen like the loading wagon. last but not least you can use the primor straw thrower to chew up bales and spray them into the pen. once you have done this AND fed your cows food, the will begin to make manure.
so Im doing good with my cows but as you know you need straw and hay then bale it is there a place where you can just store straw and hay thats not baled?
+FruitLoop 2020 (Fruit Loops 2020) That would be manure, I believe (in the rectangle cement bin right?). You can buy a manure spreader and spread it on your fields for fertilizer.
+Arthur Chapman what's the best machine to use to actually collect it? Tried using a tractor with a front loader to pick it up but doesn't work. Or do I use the bit on the farm that has a pipe coming out to collect it?
FruitLoop 2020 That is weird, the front loader should work. Tell you what, can you give me a time stamp like 7:10 at the second where you see it clearly so I can make sure we are talking about the same pile-o-**** :)
1. Yes, and you can also sell them for biogas prices right at the farm where you sell your regular straw bales, so no need to take them down to the plant 2. Not without a mod. They do have a mod where you can do this though.
I may have missed this info somewhere, if so i appologize but is there a ratio of how much mixed rations i need to feed cows for 6 days? i got 200 cows right now and i just keep making and making mixed rations but cant seem to find the end...i wouldnt mind doing the math so i at least know how close i am
Actually the square bales fall off to when using the trailer with no sides I'd go with the trailer that has the green sides that lift up that way it keeps the square bales on
You might not see that equipment in Ohio... but in Central Washington I am constantly amazed at the millions of dollars of equipment I see running up and down the fields.
you need really long grass to make hay, my hay has alfalfa, clover, and timothy, so it's very nutritious, our hayfield is 15 acres and we get over 1,000 bales off of it, but they're small square bales about 50 pounds each
Do you know if feeding pigs are the same as feeding cattle if you have a map that has pigs as an addon? I have been looking around and have not found much information about feeding pigs.
Yes - the can eat all the things cows can (Grass, Silage, Total Mixed Ration) and they can also eat Potatoes and grains, but TMR is best, just like cows.
Arthur Chapman your videos are awesome and it helped me get money faster and build a bigger farm ! also what i do to buy things i use math caculator and subtract the amount i have and with the money that you need to buy and see much how you get.
You can only bale grass in the 15 version if you ted it first. So you would mow, ted, windrow, and then bale. For straight up grass there was a mod for PC that let you do it, but on Xbox it doesn't work.
+straswa Its funny - my Farming sim vids now hold all 10 of my top 10 vids every month - I am making about $30 a month on my silage video - but I still get a decent amount of views on WOT too, so they will continue for sure.
ok.. so i have feed exactly how you told me and it's working perfectly for my cows. but the game allows me to buy a water tank and purchase water but where do I put the water for my cows. am playing on the xbox one with no mods and am on the bjornholm map. ??
As long as you are playing on a default map or a map that doesn't have some weird "stop milk mod" then you don't have to have mixed ration. But you will get a LOT more milk if you do. Milk is sold automatically every night, so you don't get money every hour. Its nightly. Cows will make milk with just grass, but to get to 100 percent production, you need Straw, Silage, and Mixed Ration.
The videos are great. I appreciate the comments about what is realistic on real farms and what are twink mods. Would love to join your server sometime. I think a video about your wish list for realistic equipment to add to the game would be great.
When I use the square baler turned it on and had the pickup shute down the tractor would not move got stuck in one place any idea why this would happen playing on playstation 3 thought it was because I had the weight attached to the front so I got rid of it and had the same outcome the version I'm playing is a digital version bought from the playstation store it's the 1.01 patch version
@@kingarthursims No it's not because when the baler is off the tractor pulls it just fine I'm thinking it's a glitch besides I'm not using a physical copy of the the game it's a digital version I downloaded from the playstation store on playstation 3 I did some more testing turns out if the tractor is on a slight hill it won't move with the baler on
@@kingarthursims the square baler requires a tractor with more than 90kw and 122hp when you go into the tractor buy menu I'm using the second tractor on the list it has a max kw of 105 and a max hp of 143 so I'm pretty sure this tractor is capable of pulling it
+kelly dias Is it broken or just out of gas? They don't really break in this game. If you are out of gas you need to grab another tractor, buy a gas trailer from the store, fill it up and then take it to your empty tractor to fill it up. Hope that helps!
there's gas but when I hired someone and I put automatic it won't go.. it's seems like it can't handle it and before it used to work and it was going speed of 10 and now it's 0. u can't do no work on the tractor at all?
+kelly dias Yeah, they don't break down and there is no repair mechanic - Are you maybe hiring a worker to something he won't do, like trying to seed an already seeded field?
Yes, that is correct. The reason why farmers bale is because its much easier to store bales, especially in real life where you only get 1 harvest a year, but need to feed you animals for the entire year off that harvest.
I know this and I was probably really late now that they're coming out with the farming Sim 2017 but I did find that when I made my TMR you actually don't have to add any straw to it you can make it completely out of hay and silage as mixing ratio things says it has two lines on each bar and it has to fall within those two raised lines make it TMR can you technically don't have to have any straw in the bin to make TMR out of hay and silage
That is correct - however you are getting less TMR. Straw is free, so its filler and it is a benefit to you to use it as it gives your 33 percent more TMR per load, but you are correct. You don't have to use straw.
Black op5 2 Gamer hehe sheep are easy - mow some grass, collect it with a loading wagon, dump it in the sheep feeding trough. that is all you need to do :)
Agreed, and you only have to run once - the windrower doesn't really save you anything because you still have to run it. I also here that most farmers don't like the "pinwheel" style windrowers, but prefer the older side style.
+VTechLOL Its an 1800 pound concrete weight. Its part of a 3 weight pack that Farming-simulator.com used to have on their site, but they don't have it anymore...
+Vito Pompilio Canola doesn't leave anything that cows can eat. No straw, no nothing. You could use a forage harvester (Krone Big X) to mow it into silage, though. It would be kinda wasteful to do that though. You would be better off growing corn and foraging/chaffing that.
so you are using the bale grabber? I wish I could see what it is doing so I could tell you exactly what to do. If worse comes to worse, you can always use the pointed bale fork to pick it up. Not prototypical, but it would at least get them off your fields.
So arthur i have the Farming Simulator 2013 and im not really good at it so if you have that game can you do some basic tutorials on that game too? And Ps loved your video keep it up
Jaakko Valaja Unfortunately I don't - this was my first foray into the world of Farming sim. I don't know how I missed 2013 because I would have loved it. Thank you for the kind words Jaakko!
+Robert Osborne I will say this - I own both the steam version and the "purchase from the farming sim" website. The website version asks for the validation key (it would have been emailed to you when you bought it), but that is it. It doesn't require any personal info, so maybe you got a hacked version.
Arthur Chapman I know I’m kinda late but down here in Texas we don’t “windrow” or “ted” after we mow, we do it in one process with a machine called a hay rake (John Deere used to make a really popular one) but it basically has a wheel type hollow cylinder that spins at an angle like the small blue plow in fs, but anyway it spins and flips the grass as it works it’s way along the cylinder and ends up on the other side in a neat line. Sorry for the terrible explanation but you can look up more info if you want
I wish i could alter the bale.weight.from 4000 to.6000 because in fs 2013.the.bales where 6000 in weight and not 4000 ....so feeding is painstakingly slow with only bales of 4000 ...
great video got me some cows 150 of them and doing great with the feeding, I was wondering, im on ps3 is there a limit to how many tractors/implements you can own it told me to sell some stuff so i had room
Yes - all version on all consoles have a "slot" system. Each piece of equipment has a certain amount of slots that it takes up. the bigger the equipment, the more slots it uses.
Once you have the straw bale in the primor, you drag it into the barn (or on westbridge, the covered area by the cows) it will show the dump sign. Just dump and it will turn on and spray the straw into the covered area.
sorry I missed your reply - yes, the forage wagon does the same thing. In real life you would dump the forager into the pen and manually rake it out. The primor makes it so you don't have to do the manual labor.
And here I am, 4 years after this was posted... I loved this video, it was long but the good kind of long because of how much you demonstrated, answered a lot of my questions. Thank you so much, keep up the amazing work!
Thank you PS!
Don't know if you know, but for getting straw to the cows you can also use a loading wagon. (you also use that to pick up grass)
Yes, that is correct
lepaul26 thanks for that tip

How do u sell them tho it took up all my space on game
Quite a contrast to the tough mudder advert haha. Good video cheers
HEHE - glad you enjoyed it!

I have 300 cows and I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS .
+xXCracklesXx HEHE - on easy they are brining in a lot of money aren't they :)
Arthur Chapman its not. it takes alot of work but it pays off
American farms are actually pretty impressive. i had a buddy that would let me hunt on his property. he owned about 5-6 sqaure miles. had ppl mostly doing the work for him and he just played with a lot of cool toy and he was just growing soybeans.
Hehe - lucky guy.
Like the game not got a lot of money so far 30 .000
It's not bad that you forgot the Bales because it helped me so now I know how to actually make them
What is the attachment on the back of your tractor at 54:00??
That is a weight from a mod kit. In real life farmers use cement as a weight.

In teal life it a nightmere but. Not as much as fs5
thankyou for making these vids it definitely helps me even though I'm playing on ps4 it helps me out!!

Hey Arthur, how do you get that pile of straw beside your silage where the cows are? Hope you answer ☺
Nevermind I figured it out 😅 that's not straw.. that's shit! haha
haha - this made my tea come out my nose. LOL in real life you would have figured that out a lot faster ;)
Arthur Chapman lmao very true!! 😂
this video was very good because I didn't know how to make hay bales
Glad to help
when you 'stripe' your fields with the Wheat and grass like you do, what is the pattern? 5 rows wheat, and 3 rows grass?
I'm sure the numbers can change depending on field size, crop, etc etc.
I just put down 1 row of grass
With one of the wider machines, to be sure.
you made revolution on my farm! thanks. i discovered i can easily make smaller tiles by grass :D
+Damin who cares? I get that a lot! Glad I could help :)
+Arthur Chapman with the tow behind mixer it's 2 hay 1 straw and the rest silage
btw i recommend to download some mixage vagon. i have 24 k liter one.
Just so you know the profile can both feed the cows and put straw in for bedding. Iv used that to feed seen day on
Hope I wasent rude but your video have really helped me thanks still rocking the Xbox 360 so thanks
Not at all my friend - I just have like 70 comments a day to answer, so I heart many that don't ask specific questions :)
Is it multiplier. Arthur you helped me how to pick up the bales without even saying how I just used your setup and it is much easier! Thanks :D
If you didn't see is the game multiplayer?
On concle sorry for the lot of comments
Hi ToughStar - both FS15 and FS17 are multiplayer. FS 17 probably has more mp servers available though.

+Arthur Chapman Thank you señor for the tip!!!
Hey Arthur, didn't you say in your video that sheep weren't as complicated as cows, thanks for your help...
+Eddie Henderson You just feed sheep cut grass. That's all there is to it.
so Im doing good with my cows but as you know you need straw and hay then bale it is there a place where you can just store straw and hay thats not baled?
If you are on PC, you can download buildings that store loose straw and hay. In Farm Sim 17, you can just dump it in piles on the ground.
unfortunately im on ps3
The brown silege on the left that the cows are making... How do you use it? When can you use it?
+FruitLoop 2020 (Fruit Loops 2020) That would be manure, I believe (in the rectangle cement bin right?). You can buy a manure spreader and spread it on your fields for fertilizer.
+Arthur Chapman where would I be without you lol. Thanks
+Arthur Chapman what's the best machine to use to actually collect it? Tried using a tractor with a front loader to pick it up but doesn't work. Or do I use the bit on the farm that has a pipe coming out to collect it?
FruitLoop 2020
That is weird, the front loader should work. Tell you what, can you give me a time stamp like 7:10 at the second where you see it clearly so I can make sure we are talking about the same pile-o-**** :)
Now after wrapping the Round Bales is it possible to sell them at the Biogas Plant?
Plus, can you just feed cows Bales?
1. Yes, and you can also sell them for biogas prices right at the farm where you sell your regular straw bales, so no need to take them down to the plant
I have done it before - its like 100 Kuhn loads, lol. But seriously, it takes a long time to get them 6 days of food.
Actually the square bales fall off to when using the trailer with no sides I'd go with the trailer that has the green sides that lift up that way it keeps the square bales on
how do you use the grass monds/hills in farm simulator 15
If you mow grass and collect it in a collection wagon, you can sell it at those grass mounds.
You might not see that equipment in Ohio... but in Central Washington I am constantly amazed at the millions of dollars of equipment I see running up and down the fields.
I think its probably because you guys have MUCH larger farms than we do so they have the capital to invest in huge equipment.
you need really long grass to make hay, my hay has alfalfa, clover, and timothy, so it's very nutritious, our hayfield is 15 acres and we get over 1,000 bales off of it, but they're small square bales about 50 pounds each
I know they have alfalfa as a mod crop - and it does produce a ton of hay.
I died when you got the bails stuck on your tractor lmao
hehe - ah, the fun physics of Farm Sim.
Yes sir indeed, your mix for feed is the best, I got 70 fat happy cows
Do you know if feeding pigs are the same as feeding cattle if you have a map that has pigs as an addon? I have been looking around and have not found much information about feeding pigs.
Yes - the can eat all the things cows can (Grass, Silage, Total Mixed Ration) and they can also eat Potatoes and grains, but TMR is best, just like cows.
+Arthur Chapman hey how can I make that much money
Silage, and lots of it.
+Arthur Chapman And can I play multiplayer on ps3
Arthur Chapman your videos are awesome and it helped me get money faster and build a bigger farm ! also what i do to buy things i use math caculator and subtract the amount i have and with the money that you need to buy and see much how you get.
My pleasure Slimepro :)
how do you get the grass to bale it does not work on my farm on xbox 360
You can only bale grass in the 15 version if you ted it first. So you would mow, ted, windrow, and then bale. For straight up grass there was a mod for PC that let you do it, but on Xbox it doesn't work.
How do you setting off combine havete
Nice vid! I prefer your WoT vids but these are great too. :)
+straswa Its funny - my Farming sim vids now hold all 10 of my top 10 vids every month - I am making about $30 a month on my silage video - but I still get a decent amount of views on WOT too, so they will continue for sure.
Awesome!
ok.. so i have feed exactly how you told me and it's working perfectly for my cows. but the game allows me to buy a water tank and purchase water but where do I put the water for my cows. am playing on the xbox one with no mods and am on the bjornholm map. ??
You don't. The default maps all have springs in your animal pens. The water trailer is for your greenhouses
+Arthur Chapman thank you... i been worry like crazy
Do u need to use mixed ration to produce milk and sell it cus I've done everything else
Does it need to be on 100 productivity though to make money
No. But you will make a lot more money if it is.
K I've started making mixed ration I've just got to mix it all up now
I'm doing this on westbridge hills but there are only two bins can u put mixed ration in with silage?
The videos are great. I appreciate the comments about what is realistic on real farms and what are twink mods. Would love to join your server sometime. I think a video about your wish list for realistic equipment to add to the game would be great.
+Chris Gomez Thank you Chris and I am glad you are enjoying the videos. The Server is still on hold until I get caught up with my work.
what is the stuff beside the silage where your cows are
I believe you are looking at the manure pit. As your cows poop (you have to give them straw) they make manure that you can use for fertilizing
Sounds like the tractor you are using is too small for the baler
@@kingarthursims No it's not because when the baler is off the tractor pulls it just fine I'm thinking it's a glitch besides I'm not using a physical copy of the the game it's a digital version I downloaded from the playstation store on playstation 3 I did some more testing turns out if the tractor is on a slight hill it won't move with the baler on
@@kingarthursims the square baler requires a tractor with more than 90kw and 122hp when you go into the tractor buy menu I'm using the second tractor on the list it has a max kw of 105 and a max hp of 143 so I'm pretty sure this tractor is capable of pulling it
can you mix square bales with round bales?
Yep :)
When do the cows get milked I'd like to see that process going on
I have a ps4 farm simulator 15 and my tractor is broken and Idk how to fix them. do u know how? and where do I fix it?
Just a question, instead of making straw bales could you just use a loading wagon and dump the straw directly into there pen for bedding?
Yes, that is correct. The reason why farmers bale is because its much easier to store bales, especially in real life where you only get 1 harvest a year, but need to feed you animals for the entire year off that harvest.
Arthur Chapman oh ok, makes sense.
Like your videos, really enjoy watching them.
My pleasure Bryce!
Bryce Lytle yes
the same fortis struggles to pull the new holland square bales
Yeah - you really need more than 250 hp for it.
Yes I know just thought it was worth a mention in that you can feed cows sheep biogas on only grass that grows free once planted.
True that. If you don't have any straw going, you can still get 100 percent productivity.
+Arthur Chapman yea just thought it was worth a mention
Okay so is it possible you can ballpark how much cash you need for initial investment of equipment and cows?
doing round bales, approximately $400,000
Thank for the advice
can you spike round bales?
Yes, from the flat side.
Also,do you have to have a windrower?
No, but it does make collection way easier.
The mod section you where talking about where is that and is the big m avalible on Xbox 360
The big M is only available on the PC as far as I know.
+Arthur Chapman thanks dude hey do you have a video on how to feed sheep
Black op5 2 Gamer hehe sheep are easy - mow some grass, collect it with a loading wagon, dump it in the sheep feeding trough. that is all you need to do :)
+Arthur Chapman oh great thanks you the best
+Arthur Chapman oh great thanks you the best
I noticed ur from Ohio I live in Ellsworth and we own a farm in Canfield... like the videos keep up the good work
+Mikey Greene hehe - shot a wedding near Canfield (Damascus) this summer. Beautiful area.
The Canfield fair was one of my favorite places to go as a kid hahaha
The Canfield fair was one of my favorite places to go as a kid hahaha
You dont need the windrower, and the baler ges faster than the windrower.
but in grass yes you are right.
Agreed, and you only have to run once - the windrower doesn't really save you anything because you still have to run it. I also here that most farmers don't like the "pinwheel" style windrowers, but prefer the older side style.
Arthur Chapman Love the channel! great explanations!
Where îs the water located în westbirdge hills?
On Westbridge the animals have springs in the pens already so you shouldn't have to water them.
What is on the back of the new holland at 51:30
+VTechLOL Its an 1800 pound concrete weight. Its part of a 3 weight pack that Farming-simulator.com used to have on their site, but they don't have it anymore...
Okay man, thanks!
can you put that into your fermentation thing?
+ken Bockven Can I put what into what fermentation thing ?
Dose it have to be hay or can I use canola?
+Vito Pompilio Canola doesn't leave anything that cows can eat. No straw, no nothing. You could use a forage harvester (Krone Big X) to mow it into silage, though. It would be kinda wasteful to do that though. You would be better off growing corn and foraging/chaffing that.
My wrapped baker doesn't close around the bale I am using the ps3 platform
Is it a hay bale or a straw bale. You will not be able to wrap straw.
I wrapped the bale but the tractor implement won't close around the bale to pick it up like in your video
Arthur Chapman the implement that you use to pick round balesbup won't close around the bale so I can't pick them up
so you are using the bale grabber? I wish I could see what it is doing so I could tell you exactly what to do. If worse comes to worse, you can always use the pointed bale fork to pick it up. Not prototypical, but it would at least get them off your fields.
How do you make straw on farming simulator 15
Just harvest some wheat or barley with a regular combine harvester and make sure straw swath is turned on.
Now do you have to water them to or is that not a thing
On the default maps, no (they have their own springs already in the pen). On most mod maps you do need to water them.
+Arthur Chapman oh ok thanks for the help
So arthur i have the Farming Simulator 2013 and im not really good at it so if you have that game can you do some basic tutorials on that game too? And Ps loved your video keep it up
Jaakko Valaja Unfortunately I don't - this was my first foray into the world of Farming sim. I don't know how I missed 2013 because I would have loved it. Thank you for the kind words Jaakko!
If i just put bales in the cow pen do they eat it?
Not without mods.
Are you aware of any mods that can do this?
I probably sound lazy but I think they could have done this from the start.
very informative, thankyou very much best tutoriasl ever, thanks for your time making these
You are so welcome :)
I'm actually successful with my cows now because of you :)
I like your videos.
+BRAD POTTER Thank you Brad
OK, thanks and thanks for your videos...
sorry one more thing have you done a forestry tutorial ?
Here you go bud - ruclips.net/video/YC2GqisIzwA/видео.html
Awesome as usual mate
Thanks Paul!
@@kingarthursims ur welcome mate
+Arthur Chapman when I click download on my computer to download fs 15 why does it ask my dad for his details
Where did you buy it from?
+Robert Osborne I will say this - I own both the steam version and the "purchase from the farming sim" website. The website version asks for the validation key (it would have been emailed to you when you bought it), but that is it. It doesn't require any personal info, so maybe you got a hacked version.
+Arthur Chapman oh right okay I thought I was for free
it *
+Arthur Chapman as I went on google and typed saying fs 15 free download
I learned so much from this video 👍
Glad to be of service friend!
How to I enable the straw thing on ps4? Please help!
Are you talking about the primor?
the straw swath is enabled/ disabled when you press both bumpers down and then press x i think (sorry im late)
I believe you need to tedder it before windrowing it
In real life no one teds, but yes in the game you must Ted, Windrow grass and then bale. You don't ted straw though.
What part of Ohio I live in northwest near Toledo or bowling green if you know we're that is
+Twisted Lids Oh yeah! When I was in a band way back, some of my band mates attended BG university
Thank you so much! Definitely subscribing.
Thanks Random dude!
Should you know why my grass is burnt when I plant it
Its in the option parts where you can choose you re crop gets burnt or not if you wait to long with harvesting....
I had the game running while I watched this.
+JuliusGreazer I have a lot of viewers that do just that. Then you can do it for yourself while I show you. Do you have a dual monitor setup?
Arthur Chapman
No I just ALT+Tab'ed out and checked on it every few minutes.
great video got me some cows 150 of them and doing great with the feeding, I was wondering, im on ps3 is there a limit to how many tractors/implements you can own it told me to sell some stuff so i had room
Yes - all version on all consoles have a "slot" system. Each piece of equipment has a certain amount of slots that it takes up. the bigger the equipment, the more slots it uses.
Wait where did you use the primor?
Once you have the straw bale in the primor, you drag it into the barn (or on westbridge, the covered area by the cows) it will show the dump sign. Just dump and it will turn on and spray the straw into the covered area.
Arthur Chapman I've always used the forage wagon filled with straw to do that. Is it the same thing?
sorry I missed your reply - yes, the forage wagon does the same thing. In real life you would dump the forager into the pen and manually rake it out. The primor makes it so you don't have to do the manual labor.
