    I have just over 1500 miles on my gen 3, 4 inch portals no issues at all. I have a 2018 turbo 2 door with 35’s on it.

    The biggest thing that I have seen failing in portals is the bearings. The best way I’ve found to increase the longevity of those bearings is properly servicing them. I know several guys that are running gen 2 and gen 3 portals and have never had any issues with the exception of a leaky seal. Keep the fluid clean use the proper fluid and buy the right portals for your application and you will be fine. I will definitely be putting portals on my build once I buy a machine.

    Do you have any videos that cover wheel offset / backspacing when running portals. Thank You

    So you’re saying, if you do more top speed you will go with the single idler

    Ranger north start 32" 4" 15% reduction. Im assuming billet over cast. I'm not a mudder just want more ground clearance and better look. Single or dual you think? Also what about if I use it for work also heavy weight being pulled and loaded in the bed? Would that break the portals?

    What’s better for long distance on highway after trail riding. Dual or single?

    • @SlikRokProductions
      @SlikRokProductions  Год назад

      Not really one better than another for this scenario. But if I had to choose, I would say the single idler. Less gears , bearings, seals and heat

    Here in the south- the mud belt- the bounty racing series is owned by dual idlers. To compete you have to upgrade to billet boxes and cryo gears to keep from blowing boxes apart. Look up HID fab. His x3 is on nitrous on highlifter dual idlers. Superatv was late to this party plain and simple.

    What's the advantage of Billet portals over cast? Is it really worth the extra money if you don't care about the bling? when superatv has such great warranty?

      Cause even if they fix it it sucks to bust on the trail

    • @SlikRokProductions
      @SlikRokProductions  2 года назад

      So billet portals are much stronger housing. I have seen a couple cast portals that have exploded on the trail and makes it difficult to take apart and get off the trail.

      @SlikRok Productions dual vs single for heavy 35s mostly trail riding with heavy foot

    22 defender xmr on 24/37. Single or dual idler and what %

    • @SlikRokProductions
      @SlikRokProductions  2 года назад

      Depends on your riding style. The dual idler is stronger but we are running Gen3 for a long while and no issues. In my defender I am running 4” Gen3 portals with 15% reduction and 32” tires and it is almost at a 1:1 factory ratio

    What is failure rate on dual idler. I run dual gdp 30% reduction on pro xp 4 seat and so far really like them. Do you think it's the proper one for the machine. Ride hard and hill, rock climb. Thanks
