Dame Vivienne Westwood Suspends in Giant Bird Cage to Protest Extradition of Julian Assange | GMB

Today, fashion designer Dame Vivienne Westwood will be suspended 10ft above the ground in a birdcage to protest the extradition of whistleblower Julian Assange. The US govt has requested the extradition of Assange to put him on trial in America for conspiring to hack government computers and espionage. Assange, who is currently in custody in Belmarsh, will have his extradition trial restarted in September after it was postponed due to Covid-19.
