- Relax as I flip through a 1971 Sears Wish Book Christmas catalog.
This is part 1 of a series. I'll try to do 75-100 pages each video. Hope you enjoy.

It was one of the best days of the year when the Wish Book arrived. I circled everything I needed and never got any of it but it was still fun. I do still have the dresser and nightstand my parents bought for me in 1977 from the catalog. It holds my kids crafts now. ☺️
Yes I loved theses books . I always had to wait my turn to circle all the things Santa would be asked for. Thank you for sharing such good childhood memories.
I remember the Wish Book coming out for December. We got so excited as kids.
It was magical as a kid. The Wish Book's I received in the mail always ended up with frayed pages, folded corners and faded covers (back and front) from the sweat of my little paws from using the book as a toy bible of the day. It was a grand time to be an innocent child.
I remember going through my grandparents magazine stack to find this catalog. One of my favorite memories as a child.
I had many friends that worked at the Sears Catalog distribution center in Columbus Ohio. This brings back some memories. Unfortunately all catalogues went away and so did my friends jobs. Sears actually paid a decent wage back in the 80's
Sears is going bankrupt, they can't help that they can't afford to pay fortune to workers. Walmart, target and Amazon especially are running them out of business.
I am a new subscriber and I just wanted to say how much I appreciate these catalogue flipping videos. They are really relaxing especially with your calming voice. Greetings from the Netherlands
YES! I did look at that in 1971! The "WishBook' was the go-to book to decide what you wanted from Santa. I asked for the "Voice of the Mummy" game, and the "Chrissy" doll and received both.
Thank you SO much for doing this! I was 11 when this one came out and I remember every thing in it...especially the electric NFL...those players would vibrate all over the place! Please complete the '71 and do others as well...you are doing many like me who miss those times a great service. Bless you and have a Happy Chirstmas!!!
Very nice video....brings back a lot of memories!!
The Power Mite tools were so cool and really worked.
ALL of these toys featured here had a lengthy TV promo campaign behind them (usually Saturday mornings or immediately after school 3 to 5 pm). Almost always starting on the first Saturday after Labour Day in-keeping with the new round of Saturday morning cartoons. As I remember this particular Wish Book (obviously an American version) had an extensive model trains offering. Now that was serious shiznitz back-in-the-day. The Power-Mites needed thin 'balsa' wood (not included) and as I had two of these bad boys I never got to use them 'properly'.
I don't know why but dolls always scared me, and the dolls in this catalogue are no exception. Nonetheless, this was a great video as always :) I was relaxed after the dolls! :D
i miss the wishbook. i cant believe they are closing after all these years.
Love these catalog videos!
Awesome to see all those old toys!!! :'D
25 min is the advertisment for the thingy in sand lot the mechanical thing that picks up the ball lol thats preeety cool
i really enjoyed this video thank you so much very relaxing.
Thank you for your videos. I love the catalogue ones.
+Jaclyn Rhodes That's good, because it will take a few of these videos to get through the catalog:)
Also at 6:53, pause again. The Raggedy Ann Doll on the bottom right is the doll that inspired the infamous horror movie 'Annabelle'. A girl bought the doll, in the true story, and it was exorcised after strange things began happening in the house. It was found to have the soul of a murderer inside it who had, before he died, put his soul in the doll after the cops chased him to a superstore and shot him in the heart. The doll now resides in some museum in the USA and has a sign on the box saying 'DO NOT TOUCH THIS DOLL'. People who have visited the museum and made fun of the doll or ridiculed it have died in mysterious circumstances, only a couple of weeks afterwards...
Great video! I liked the sounds of the pages turning
Just in time for bed thank you for this
Yesssss! These are my favorite!
+Diana Gruver That's good because it will take a few of these to get through the catalog:)
I still have my Tressy doll and tubs full of some of those old toys and games.
Just in time for bed. Thanks! :) Hope you have a nice Christmas!
In this video: ASMR and weapons grade nostalgia.
I think you should do a Spirograph episode.
It was ridiculous in that every time the outcome was the same. Red, blue or black ink spirals on white paper. It was so much fun!
Another great video, happy holidays :)
The Batman costume comment was great.
I had that Baby Tender Love doll, and the Chrissy doll! Yup, I'm getting old, heheh... thanks for this video, I totally remember looking through this catalog like it was yesterday!!!
Baby "tender" love.....creepy
One more, I couldn't resist.....
omg we used to get these in the mail when i was a kid and we combed it like frantic little maniacs making our lists
My daughter still has tea parties, just to let you know. :-)
I think it was 71, when I was 8, I ordered a Tyco Royal Blue HO electric train set.
I kept it till I was 19 when I had to leave it behind in a move.
I always wanted the dolls, but never got them.
How many times will I make the mistake of watching your videos after editing lol. Thanks for making me pass out at my desk again. Great video. Relaxing and interesting as usual.
I looked at this very catalog in 1971. Ended up ordering off amazon though.
Yes, please do a Spirograph video!
After this I'm rewatching the Santa asmr video 🤓
Neat catalog. I dont think Sears still publishes a Wishbook they stopped in Canada in 2015. Sears Canada is going out of business and start Liquidation next week ( October 19 2017). Sears Canada is after closing a bunch of store these past few months and are now closing the rest. Sears failed to adapt to a changing marketplace, ceding customers and market share to Walmart, Canadian Tire, Best Buy, Costco and Winners, and more recently, Amazon.
I think you are probably correct.
yay :D

Have you mentioned your favorite ASMRtist's? If not, who are they and would it make a video about them.
Your greatest Fan

It's curious that they have question marks after the prices in the headers. What a strange marketing concept.
nice video. I watched it without sound and still got positive ASMR reaction... :)I've enjoy many of your videos and, through them, I've drawn the conclusion you have WIDE range of interests, lol :pWhat did you do for living?Merry Christmas! :)
Yup Godfather. That's a pretty dorky Batman alright.
Great video! I enjoyed it. I bet nothing in that book said "Made In China." lol
A lot of "HONG KONG" though.
I had the Chalk board and "Three Ways Desk" (sounds kinky). I wanted the big stuffed Lassie but didn't get it.
B.s. i.had the baton gril
Had them
Yes I did I was bromine 1961
This guy doesn't have any pants on. Lol
Door key? I use 1 of those to get back into the house.😂
lol we were all "dorky" back then!
At 1:30 pause the video. I have Masterpiece still and it's still fully intact. Great game! ;)
I don't recall ever playing that game although everyone I knew back then had it.
I was less than a month old.
Were you on Jeopardy? I swear I recognized the voice lol 😊
+melissastorn also curious
+dontdissmiss +Corkoth55 I still have the episode on my DVR I'll look it up tomorrow!
melissastorn don't forget LOL
+dontdissmiss +Corkoth55 Omg i finalllly found it! couldn't leave you guys hanging haha! it had been deleted from my DVR. but here ya go: Jeopardy Season 52, Episode 206 (aired Nov 26th, 2015).
Here's a link to watch the episode: tinyurl.com/jxmccc8
There's almost no chance it's *actually* him which is why i'm ok with posting the episode title; this is just how I pictured him in my mind & he does have a similiar accent :D
+Corkoth55 +dontdissmiss PS: I think the reason he reminded me of RelaxingASMR is that for a Jep contestant he spoke soooo slowwwly which would normally drive me nuts b/c i hate when they don't get to all 30 questions but in this case i was fine with it since his voice is so soothing :D
Lol
What with the ??? after the price?
its because of the way theyre advertising the price of the products. 'mattel barbie doll for only 12.99??' 'yes! right here in the sears catalog'
Do t wait too long
1971 my dad wasn't even born yet
My Dad was born in 1931.
Why do people collect things? It's strange when you think about it. You don't own stuff, it owns you.
canturgan nice shower thought haha
I had vevelt
pootis?
You don't ask your male user base if they enjoy the content. Of course us ladies watch your videos too
2 days ago I received the first Amazon Christmas catalogue. No prices. None they just have an item number and send you to the web. Why put out the damn wasted catalog when we've all been 20 years trained to punch up. the Big A on every damn device ever kicked out from China's butt? M
Why is everything so cheap? WHAT HAPPENED
money was worth more bc there was less money
+Contact Burrito There wasn't less money, it's due to inflation therefor money is now worth less.
I think everyone who says things like, "I can't believe X cost so little back in those days" is unaware that the prices are relative to their incomes.
...and dweeby....
Worst batman costume ever
