World War II in the Archives: Counterfeits

In the Regional Archive is the archive of the National Organization for help to people in hiding, Alkmaar department. The LO was a Dutch resistance organization between 1942 and 1945. People in hiding were also offered help in hiding in Alkmaar via the LO. The archive contains all kinds of documents produced by the LO, such as forged and real identity cards, stamps and other material for forging identity cards, real and false food stamps and meeting minutes.
Many of the records from the archive of the LO department Alkmaar have been scanned and can be viewed on the website of the Regional Archive. The forged and genuine stamps and bracelets that appear in the video can be viewed here:

Ik wil dit extreem graag overnemen, nu licht het maar in een doos dit hoort toch ik mijn museum?

Helaas, dit materiaal is onderdeel van onze collectie WO2 die voor iedereen toegankelijk is en zelfs regelmatig bij het bezoek van scholen gebruikt wordt. Het ligt inderdaad veilig onder goede klimatologische omstandigheden in een doos in ons depot, maar gelukkig krijgen veel mensen het onder ogen en in handen 🙂
