  • BU won its second consecutive national championship (and 2nd overall) in 1972 against Cornell. MVP Tim Regan posted a shutout in the 4-0 victory, and Coach Jack Kelley's ten year-tenure as Terrier coach ended on a high note.

    I was at that game sitting behind the net about two months after getting home from Vietnam. I must have gone to at least 20 Bruins, AHL, college, and high school games in those two months.

      I was at that game too. I remember the hitting being fierce. They don't hit like that in college hockey anymore.
