    My daughter was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia just over a month ago, started chemo, lost her hair quickly and I've already made a few hats after seeing this video and I'm excited to make many for her and for other loved ones going through treatment and to help keep them and anyone warm. 💗 Thank you for sharing this!

    I'm a little confused with the measuring part. If the head is 28" circumference, what is the 2" & 0.78"? How large do you know to actually cut the fabric?

    • @NicoleVram
      @NicoleVram 2 месяца назад

      - 2cm ( if you use centimenters ) or -0,78” ( inches ) is a equivalent

    Thank you so much for this tutorial!! So well visually explained, so easy to do. I love when people don't need to talk about their traveling into an ancient Maya temple to explain how to do a stitch :D I was really surprised of how good it looks with my first try! Will be making many more. My family is now doomed to wear beenies all year long. Maybe two or three at the same time. :P

    Very nice tutorial! But be sure to check how stretchy the fabric is, I made one using the head circumference minus two centimeters as shown at 0:18 and it came out way too tight with the fabric I used! A very fun project and it taught me some skills that will no doubt come in handy, but I'd recommend testing if the fabric stretches enough to comfortably fit around the head just to be sure

    Thank you! I have a pattern which looks like the one you created here, but the instructions did NOT tell me to cut it on the fold, so I only had half of it. Sewed it together in every way possible but it would not make a hat. Thank you for teaching me how it is really done. Fortunately I cut two of every piece to make multiple hats, so I could frankenstein them into one complete hat.

    Margin of error is generous. Didn't align the fabrics all that well due to thicker(airier)fabric pulling one way more than other upon folding, don't notice it upon finished product!

    Bonjour j'ai fais ce bonnet pour moi, il est vraiment super. Je souhaiterais la faire pour mon bébé de 9 mois ( tour de tête de 46cm ). Quelle hauteur dois je prendre pour qu'il ne soit pas trop profond ?
    Merci d'avance

    • @Minie-Mouse00
      @Minie-Mouse00 2 года назад +2

      Je me permets de vous répondre...
      La hauteur pour le 3 mois c'est 16 cm en mesurant sur l'arrondi.
      (6 mois = 16,5 cm; 12 mois = 17 cm! 18 mois = 17,5 cm.)
      Mesures standards. 😏😊
      (Il faut bien sûr ajouter un peu d'aisance, et les marges d'ourlet.)

    • @yaomatis1516
      @yaomatis1516 Год назад

      @@Minie-Mouse00 Bonjour, je n'a rien compris pour les mesures sur ce tuto ,tour de tête de poupée fait 47cm largeur de tissu fait 28 cm? Si le tour de tête fait 54cm ,quel est le largeur du tissu si vous plaît? Merci d'avance.

    • @Minie-Mouse00
      @Minie-Mouse00 Год назад

      @@yaomatis1516 bah si le tour de tête fait 54 cm, votre largeur de tissu c'est 54 cm - marge d'aisance négative (jersey) + marges de couture. En gros on retire environ 10% du tour de tête (de mémoire mais à vérifier, Idem le taux d'élasticité de votre tissu maille jersey qui peut être variable) parce qu'il s'agit d'un tissu extensible et qu'il faut que ça tienne sur la tête.
      La hauteur c'est différent, je l'ai donnée + haut, c'est celle des mesures standard, à vérifier éventuellement : 16 cm pour le 3 mois, depuis la pointe du crâne jusqu'à la base du bonnet. Mais un bonnet plus haut ou ajusté, c'est en fonction des goûts de chacun.
      (47 et 28 cm je ne vois pas à quoi ça correspond... En plus si vous avez une tête de poupée sous la main, c'est encore plus facile de mesurer le pourtour et la hauteur nécessaire, quitte à ajuster. Sinon un bébé sous la main...)

    • @Minie-Mouse00
      @Minie-Mouse00 Год назад

      @@yaomatis1516 en fait, après avoir parcouru les commentaires, je lis dans les précisions de l'auteur qu'elle prend bien le tour de tête moins 2cm, donc si le tour de tête fait 47, ça ferait 45 cm (ça me paraît peu comme marge d'aisance négative !? Maintenant ça dépend de l'élasticité du tissu, + ou - élastique...)
      Pour les 28 cm c'est la hauteur du bonnet de la vidéo, ça peut être moins si on souhaite un bonnet moins profond, donc c'est bien de mesurer la hauteur et d'y ajouter une marge pour que ce ne soit pas trop moulant ou trop ajusté, il faut qd même que ça "flotte" un petit peu dans le sens de la hauteur.
      Par contre, pour la hauteur à partir de laquelle on trace cette diagonale, ça varie forcément en fonction de la taille, et la formule je ne la trouve nulle part. Mais en prenant le ratio 28/9, on dira que ça fait environ 1/3, donc j'aurais tendance à partir là -dessus, genre 7 cm pour une hauteur totale de 20 ou 21 cm !? (Ou 6,6 cm pour une hauteur totale de 20 cm, si vous aimez les virgules ! 😁 )

    Can you please explain your measurements? It seems like the 28cm/11 inches in the fabric from top to bottom, but it doesn't make sense the width from left to right is 2cm? And why do you have head circumference twice with two different measurements? I am really interested in making this, but I don't want to cut the fabric wrong.....Thank you!!

    • @LordJuztice
      @LordJuztice Год назад +2

      No, the width is your heads circumference, she measured it on the doll at 47 cm and deducted 2 cm from it so the length of her fabric is 45cm. The length is somewhat around there, but it's a trial and error of how tight you want it. I wanted a tighter fit so I deducted 5cm from the circumference for my 2nd beanie.
      Same with height, 28cm was also a tad bit too much for me as I don't like the fold part, so on my 2nd I took 22cm height and ended up with no fold at all, which is how I like it :)
