Rice is really adapting as No. 8, his ball carrying ability has improved so much. Also, Big up Martinelli and Jesus. Let's start a good run from here. Cmon, you gunners.

From the bench. Starting eleven won the game.

Its his best position. Dunno why people insist on him being a 6 when he can’t pass the ball like Partey or Jorginho

Fair play to Jesus for stepping up but i still want Isak

We can only wish. That'll be tough to pull off. I was hoping for at least Solanke if we couldn't get Isak during that transfer window.

Saka's hamstring injury might actually be a blessing in disguise. The poor guy has been playing week in, week out without much rest, including international duty for England. He deserves a break to recharge and come back stronger. While it's unfortunate that an injury has sidelined him, a few weeks off could be just what he needs. Wishing him a speedy recovery!
Arteta must recognize the importance of resting Saka occasionally, perhaps letting him play full matches in critical games while substituting him in less demanding ones. However, managing this balance is tough, as every EPL team poses a challenge.
Speaking of challenges, the Crystal Palace game was good overall, but Arteta needs to address the risky play from the back, which almost cost us. Just look at how similar mistakes from Spurs against ManU led to disaster. If there’s no safe passing option at the back, kicking the ball out and clearing the lines is a far better strategy.
Good luck to Arsenal in the next match. Meanwhile, Liverpool continues to face relatively easier opponents to rack up points. Let’s hope for a strong finish this season!

Credit to Palace who played well especially in the first half, Maxence Lacroix, Marc Guehi & Mateta are all half decent players too
    However,
once Declan Rice came on the chasm between the two sides became apparent

I thought Martinelli was excellent on the right hand side today. He benefited from the right side service that Saka usually gets, produced some dangerous crosses, nabbed a goal. Disagree with him being only okay.
    COYG!!!

Harvetz in the middle created that space for the palace goal. Don't try and sugarcoat it

Dont you worry boys. Am sure Gesus, Martinelli, Havertz, Odegaard will acore goals and make up for Saka. Am sure.

What gives you that confidence? Their finishing has been extremely poor this season.
Hopefully Jesus can continue his run because Martinelli, Odegaard and Havertz are very much underperforming when it comes to finishing

Jesus is the miracle of Xmas...
Clearly he's suddenly kick into confidence.
If Jesus can kick on, we won't need a striker for now.
The finishing is excellent today. Arteta must have given the players extra drill.
If both Havetz and Jesus can keep the goals coming, maybe we should be looking for a developmental younger striker to come in for the near future

The only thing i want to say other than amazing Jesus - he really has been
But i wanted to say, i have seen it before ^
A striker or another not doing good, and then before Transfer window, shining bright
But then, after the window, going back to not being so good again ...
Of course i dont hope this at all
But if i was Arteta i would buy a new striker in this window no matter what if the right one is there
And then keep Jesus till summer and swap him out for good in the summer
    Just becouse
Plus Jesus can help replace both the striker or a winger the next half year
    Would look strong

We are playing a 3-3-4 in possession
Havetz and Jesus are two up top rotating.
They are hard to pick up bc they do not have adefine position
People obsess too much in formation. This was fluid from Arteta
The one criticism is we rode our luck bc we were again ponderous at times risking it playing out from the back.
We need to be able to play past the press with more balls over the top

It’s not it feels different! Jesus had fallen away with a lot of us thinking he was leaving! So so happy for him regaining his edge! It changes things if this continues! The frustration as fans changes!
Options change! From the Saka injury to yet another option up front!

Jesus was on fire but second half he was back to same finishing lol. Could have went differently. Wasn't convinced we have clicked yet. So much sloppinin that performance and lack of crispness.ooked bit clueless how to play through press at beginning but Palace not playing aliw block gave us it. Not sure are in gear yet 5-1 or not. That 2 leg semi could kill us yet.
