I just recently discovered this guy. Timeless messages. Can't believe he left us in 2005. I remember very well what the world was like back when he was a preacher. I didn't know Jesus back then. I didn't think things were that bad. Society has been in a rapid downward spiral since then. Come Lord Jesus, come.

There are too many false Gospels and false doctrines. Read Hebrews, if you do, it illustrates perfectly whom the apostle Paul spoke towards.

This is what I'm struggling with, as I continue to try to find a new job. I keep quoting the Bible in my interviews because when they ask what my greatest strength is, I say Jesus. When they ask what my 5-year plan is, I say Jesus. And it's hard to accept the rejection but Jesus said "take up your cross and follow me" (Matthew 16:24) and that means to raise up your cross high over your head, so that all can see it. If you're a Christian and the people you know don't know it, you're doing something wrong and you might want to evaluate your salvation
Perhaps you could just say a heart-felt prayer before entering the interview, but already have planned answers for those usual interview questions. God knows your heart, but you don't want to come off as an over zealous 'christian fanatic'. That is what they will think. This is not denying the Lord, but being prepared for the task ahead, that is being obedient by securing a job. Because the Apostle Paul said '...a man that will not work, he shall not eat.' 2 Thess. 3:10

Thankfully salvation is absolutely free and not conditional upon service ( discipleship ) to Christ.

Correct. But don't forget that Jesus calls us to take up our cross. Also, the Bible tells us to count the cost... What cost? The cost of following Him. YES, salvation is free, but living out the Christian faith (being a disciple) WILL cost you.

Also, discipleship, in my understanding, is not necessary about acts of service, but living a life surrendered to Christ - Luke 9:23-24.
