Drinking several energy drinks at my age sounds like a bad time. I am not a fan of the taste of energy drinks to begin with. All the rest of that sounds great. The most "overhated" game of the series. I'll never understand the hate 4 it. I'm someone that loves a classic Resident Evil don't get me wrong but this game did the perfect Blend of action and horror just like Resident Evil 4, however I can't say the same for six I think that game went a little too far for me.
6 was schizophrenic and didnt know what it wanted to be. 5 failed the horror atmosphere test. Some attempt was made and it wouldnt take too much more to get it there. RE5 passed the fun game test even as single player. I can't say that for RE6. It was fun for parts of it but not fun and even horrible at others.

First game I owned on the 360, got it for my birthday at the time. It still stands as one of my most favorite RE games of all time. The Co-Op was amazing, how you could upgrade weapons, work together. Hand off equipment/ammo and whatnot. It was just groundbreaking for me at the time. Also loved how you could unlock unlimited ammo for the weapons in the game with the point system after you beat the game once. This was the first XBOX360 game I ever played, and I loved it. It came as a pack-in with my system. It was the red 'Resident Evil 5 Edition' system. I had a launch 360 for Christmas the first year it released, but I never got around to opening it (it's still sealed in fact). My R.E.5 Edition system was also a gift. When I first tried to play it the disc wouldn't work. I ended up BOILING the disc (anyone else remember that non-working 360 disc hack?) and it worked like a charm every since. Good times.
Still playing coop with my brother. It’s been a holiday tradition for over a decade. Used to be local coop but now we sit down, crack a few beers and play online and catch up when he can’t travel down.

And i played through it on my own to and had a lot of fun with that as well I think Resi5 is one of the very few games that is a great game solo but as a coop game experience it is one of the best games ever made for that.

I absolutely love this game, and I really don't think it was much of a betrayal to Resident Evil more than 4 was! The games may have started out as grounded, tense and spooky, but even as soon as RE2 and RE3 it was clear they wanted to push forward into a more tense-action direction, which 4, 5 and even 6 do reach in a lot of areas.
I’m with you on this. I was there for RE:1 and those that followed BUT 5 has a special place in my heart. Always down for a co-op run lol Sheva is my favorite RE female character as well 😌🙏🏼

Absolutely fantastic game! I found it had so much replayability as I wanted to max out all the weapons and get infinite ammo for all the good ones. Was a bit annoyed in RE4 remake as infinite ammo is restricted to certain weapons and not unlockable straight away after beating and fully upgrading.
your trifecta is almost as good as mine, being 14 and somehow picking up GTA3, FFX and Devil May Cry 1 at once with their guides at circuit city i guess in 2001
Even without co-op the game is a lot of fun, the more you play it the more you discover new tactics and ways to play. It's such a versatile game. Even with the broken AI + pro difficulty, you won't get hardlock cause there's always a way/tactic even if it's an odd unintended way, it's gonna work. Chapter selection is another thing that's great about this title. The shit vehicle turret section is skippable. Re5 fits well between re4 and 6.
That’s a good you made about chapter selection, which is a wonderful thing and frankly more RE games should have had it. For example when I play OG RE3 I absolutely hate the music box and water puzzles, if I could use chapter select to avoid those things.
RE5 was my 3rd RE. I felt so disenfranchised, knowing all the games that came between it and the only other 2 I played(DeadAim first, then Nemesis, then 5)
Just played this game with a friend and fucking loved it! Had so much fun on the couch and a cold beer. Not the best resident evil but for me one of the best co up game ever!
Resident evil 5 was my first entry in the series as well even though i new about the series before then. It’s also one of my favorites as well as resident evil revelations 1
Resi5 is such a great co-op experience, just pure, stupidly over the top fun! In single player with AI controlled shiva it’s unplayable but the co-op campaign is fantastic, either with a random or better with a friend plus you have mercenaries to play once you finish the story. Got the platinum with a friend and had such a blast
haha me and my friend just played through it again co-op. We beat it together when it first came out and it was on sale so we got it. The original time playing it was very memorable. Takes a while to get used to the controls but its still fun. Played the DLC for the first time last week, the one with Josh and Jill was fun.
The #1 Co-Op game my friends and I played throughout middle school. No other games compare to it in terms of split screen at the time besides maybe Halo.
I have a similar experience, started with RE5>RE:revelations 1> RE6> RE2Remake> RE1Remake> RE3Remake> RE4. I actually enjoyed all games quite a bit, I do think the RE1 remake is the best game with RE2 remake a close second. RE5 is just plain old Co-op fun!
This one is my favorite out of that kind of action trilogy they did between four, five, and six I felt like this really dialed down the gunplay for Resident Evil 4 while polishing up the gameplay and cutting out the fluff The story is ridiculous but I at least like that it connected to the overall main plot. Mostly though it was just a ton of fun to play, IMO the best mercenaries mode as well as just amazing co-op across the entire game This is one of my favorite games of that generation and one of my favorite Resident Evil games overall
Finally played thru a few months back when I decided to go through all RE games. RE 4 and RE 5 are my favorites currently. Still have to play RE 7 and 8.
I played this game last year for the first time with a friend via co-op and god damn it was a fucking good time! Best co-op experience I've had in years
there was times where the a.i controlled shiv was useless saying i'm out of ammo or using pistol when she has machine gun with lot's of ammo lol i'm playing on ps4 on solo rouge mode, it would be intresting to see what happens if i set it to 'no limit' and see if a random player would drop in.
So glad to see someone singing RE:5's praises. It's an amazing coop experience. But to say all this about the story mode and say nothing of Mercenaries mode is a bit strange. You put maybe 15-20 hours into story, 100s into Mercs to get all S rank with every character.
its funny when I was a kid playing this game I didn't like sheva as a character for some reason... I had no reason I just didn't like her at first but I think by the end of the game I warmed up to her. Me and my brother put many hours into this game back in the day. So much fun and good memories (:
RE5 is fun as hell. My favorite co-op game. Currently playing RE6 for the first time. It may be way different from the original RE games but it’s fun as hell. It’s like an action movie.
Lol operation raccoon city, aw man seeing you hold that up brought back some memories. A friend of mine and I wanted to play it but didn’t know what to expect so we bought the pre owned copy at GameStop since you can return it if you didn’t like it. Just played this game with a friend and fucking loved it! Had so much fun on the couch and a cold beer. Not the best resident evil but for me one of the best co up game ever!
Definitely a classic.that co op just hits different
Resident evil 5 was my first entry in the series as well even though i new about the series before then. It’s also one of my favorites as well as resident evil revelations 1
This was my first game and after that became a fan of everything else
I agree I love it as well hopefully we get a remake of 5
Resi5 is such a great co-op experience, just pure, stupidly over the top fun! In single player with AI controlled shiva it’s unplayable but the co-op campaign is fantastic, either with a random or better with a friend plus you have mercenaries to play once you finish the story. Got the platinum with a friend and had such a blast
Great video Matty I loved the format wasn’t messy and it was fun to watch
haha me and my friend just played through it again co-op.
Exactly 5 is amazing like I remember
RE5 will forever go down as the best RE between REmake and RE8 Village
Playing Mercenaries mode with my best friend until 3 A.M. back in the day was such a blast.
This one is my favorite out of that kind of action trilogy they did between four, five, and six
I felt like this really dialed down the gunplay for Resident Evil 4 while polishing up the gameplay and cutting out the fluff
The story is ridiculous but I at least like that it connected to the overall main plot.
Mostly though it was just a ton of fun to play, IMO the best mercenaries mode as well as just amazing co-op across the entire game
This is one of my favorite games of that generation and one of my favorite Resident Evil games overall
Finally played thru a few months back when I decided to go through all RE games. RE 4 and RE 5 are my favorites currently. Still have to play RE 7 and 8.
RE5 being your fav Resi Evil game is like Metal Gear Survive being your fav Metal Gear game
Not even close dude lmao it’s more like if MGR is your favorite Mg game
Also my first Resident Evil. Nice video!
I played thru this for the first time a few months ago. I enjoyed it but that last boss fight was brutal as I had no ammo at that point.
its funny when I was a kid playing this game I didn't like sheva as a character for some reason... I had no reason I just didn't like her at first but I think by the end of the game I warmed up to her. Me and my brother put many hours into this game back in the day. So much fun and good memories (:
I remember before I Had the Game I would play the Demo on my Xbox. It was such a Memorable Time of my teenage Life
I've been playing this again too. Found a couple coop partners too. I played 100s of hours of coop back in the day.
RE5 was also my first resident evil game and i love it, its still one of my favorite . it made me a fan of the franchise :)
I played hundreds of hours on this game I love it so much
I just got this in my Post box today. I have never played this.
I think the 4th Resident Evil movie was kinda based on this game. Because of this virus in the game.
This game hits me hard one of the first co-op games I finished with my dad we loved it
Lost Planet 2 is still one of my favorite co-op, don't know how many I beat story with my friends and family. I should give this game a try.
RE5 is fun as hell. My favorite co-op game. Currently playing RE6 for the first time. It may be way different from the original RE games but it’s fun as hell. It’s like an action movie.
RE5 is one of the greatest co-op games.
Lol operation raccoon city, aw man seeing you hold that up brought back some memories. A friend of mine and I wanted to play it but didn’t know what to expect so we bought the pre owned copy at GameStop since you can return it if you didn’t like it. We ended up beating it the same day since it was so short and ended up getting on our money back 😂
