Sara, you are so wonderful. Please don’t worry about those that question your decisions about sharing. You share what you want when you want. We all should always respect that. We all don’t need to know everything. I LOVE 💕 LOVE 💗 your stickers. Iam making a sinking fund just for those. I messed up and didn’t get the thin or thick washi, I will make sure I order then for March.
I personally don't watch your videos to see your income.. that isn't my business or concern.. I watch your videos to help me with my own budget and to help hold myself accountable.. and because of you and your help I no longer live paycheck to paycheck and am able to live a little bit and not worry.. Christmas was stress free this year.. thank you so much..

People shouldn't care about your income, they should be taking the basic budgeting principles that you are sharing to apply to their OWN income. I watch your videos to learn tips and tricks that may help with my budget, not to know what you make. You're doing a great job!

Hi Sara. Great video. Looking forward to getting my new stickers...whenever! It’s Christmas and we’re all busy. I have a Erin Condren Notebook on order and I plan to use part of it for my budget. I’ve been doing my budget for years, but I love watching your videos to get ideas on keeping track (and I don’t need to know what your paycheck money is...your business and no one else’s. We don’t tell anyone what we make or our bills or mortgage amounts...our business). I don’t do a sinking fund (not sure what it is), but I obviously keep track of all household bills and I’ve recently started keeping track of anything we bought. I never did a spending tracker and I’m enjoying it 😍 merry Christmas!

Love your reminder about the importance of the variable column and how it is the key to understanding why one may not have acheived their savings goals! I have a financial background as well and wish more people understood this!
The only thing that I may be in slight disagreement with (depending on whether I understood you correctly, and I may well have misunderstood you! LOL!) is the information on the zero based budget... the zero based budget is based on the principle that you give every dollar in your budget a job... it doesn't really have anything to do with leaving a buffer in your account. You can simply treat your buffer as a sinking fund of sorts until you reach the desired buffer in your account and then you still carry on with your zero based budget. Or you treat your buffer as a line object in your budget... either way - you still are doing a zero based budget.... but I TOTALLY get that for privacy reasons, you would not disclose all of the line objects in your budget so that people would not simply calculate them to obtain your exact income!! And I would hope people don't give you a hard time for not wanting to disclose everything!!

You guys should look into Hulu Live. We pay about $48 a month and have access to all sports. We record the games and watch them when we can. They have a ton of other channels too, and access to great movies 😊

Hi Sara!! I just have a question. What EC PLANNER do I purchase for budgeting? Are your pages ALL blank and you decorate it? Or does it come with sinking funds etc?

why wouldnt you just use excel? have an input screen and have everything linked to a summary page
I use excel all day everyday. The last thing I want to do when I come home is use excel. I’m more of a paper and pen kind of girl! All that matters is you find what works best for you!
I do the year membership for Amazon prime vs. The monthly it actually comes out cheaper doing the yearly I think it's about $12 monthly (I might be wrong idk)
How did you build up a savings from the bottom. Normally we have enough to pay bills and eat and gas and that’s it. I really am trying to have a cushion for me and my husband also. Ty 💖

I'm sorry you have to explain so often why you don't share your income. I don't need to see all your numbers to make use of what you're saying! And people shouldn't judge if a car payment is better for your family. Not everyone needs to live exactly by Dave Ramsey to have a successful budget. As you say many times, make it work for you! Thank you for your videos! The script stickers are gorgeous and I'll be placing an order soon!!

Yes but you use amazon prime for personal stuff as well right? So I’m confused on how that works. I once read that if you purchase a laptop for business but use it for personal it can’t count toward a tax write off? Maybe I heard that wrong but that seems that amazon prime wouldn’t be used just for the bus’s I was

I never buy stuff from amazon... I’ve recently been for sticker paper and other supplies so it would be considered a business expense. I agree, if I used it for personal as well I would just count it as a personal expense

It is truly a shame that you work so hard to provide these wonderful videos but have to spend so much time apologizing and explaining yourself. It is none of our business how much you make, whether you finance a car, etc etc. Please do not allow the cray crays of the internet to bring negativity to you or your decision making. TRUST ME when I say that you have your life together in a significant way and you & Jason should be super proud of where you are :0)

Ondraka Jones she has done mock budgets before where she shows different incomes and expenses so that we can see how the whole process comes together
