Welcome to Except Ye Repent Video Ministries, the progenitor of the online sermon jam. Those seeking an ear-tickling need not apply. Our sermon jams aren't sugar-coated: this is bold preaching, straight from the Word of God and heralded by some of the leading pastors in the Reformed/Pentecostal/Baptist Christian tradition such as Paul Washer, John MacArthur, Tim Conway, David Wilkerson, and Charles Lawson. We're here to convict, motivate, exhort, and inspire, declaring solely the Lord Jesus Christ as the only way to salvation by faith in His name, remembering always that "except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3b).

This SOUNDS simplified but scripture indicates otherwise ..some verses say he is rich in mercy while others say don't play with him Jesus speaking in rev about names being blotted out of the book of life ..I don't have a the scriptures off hand but I've been fighting for 3 decades and it is really not something that can be simplified how many times have we heard preachers say don't be caught dead in your sins meaning if you just sinned and suddenly died you'd be doomed to hell for eternity so for me it seems a constant moving target hence " pray without ceasing" which is technically not possible no one can pray while sleeping I continue to search for the " zone" like athletes describe where they can do no wrong ..I've met Christians who are there but most were raised christian so being obedient came naturally and now thier life is a routine that dosent include sin ..I don't know I am still confused to find the right method because daily life and our world is changing around us so how can we find the " groove" or rythym" for consistency for some it comes easier than others and God has not made everyone's journey the same same as no one's life or struggles are the same we all don't have the same disadvantages or advantages God is mysterious that's for sure that's pretty much the only thing I'm certain of that and the fact that I keep shouting to him for help

You don’t need false gospel and a heretical teaching on repentance, if you follow Paul Washers way you will follow him into a bottomless pit. Repent from all your good works and from the repentance and sanctification you have received-true repentance is dying to all of your own works, your own flesh and all its deeds, and to lose your very own life. Why? Because the Good News is God has provided the Good Works for you as a Gift. God has provided the perfect life you could never life as a gift. God has provided a perfect eternal body for you without sin as a Gift.. Believe Jesus is your Good Works, Good Fruit, Perfect Life, Perfect Body and Full Reward from God so you can be bold when you offer your life as a sacrifice to God-because you have the Perfect life of Christ. And when God judges all mankind by their works you will have nothing to fear when everyone with sin is eternally damned because you have Christ who is your perfect works, perfect holiness and perfect Life.

Jude speaks of clouds without water which are those with faith without PERFECT WORKS. Faith without works is dead and James 2:24 says “man is SAVED by WORKS not by faith alone”-so James and Jude speak about false prophets who claim faith alone but don’t do the works contained in the Gospel. The Gospel, the Good News is God has provided the Good Works as a Gift but those who preach a false gospel make a license to sin-to do other works for God which cannot save you. So Paul washer’s false gospel is a license to sin, because it gives you a license to do works for God-even though you know all of mans good works are sin to God (Isaiah 64:6)

Whoever seeks to keep the commandments but breaks even one of the commandments is guilty of them all-because the same God who said do not murder and do not commit adultery also said do not lie so even if you don’t murder if you lie, you are a liar, a murder, a fornicator and guilty of all the lAw. Therefore the only way to be a doer of the Word, a keeper of the commandments is if you have Perfect Works, if you have Christ that is. Because it is written Christ is the fulfillment of the Law and Christ is my works-therefore my works are a fulfillment of Gods perfect law. Likewise Christ is the Word of God made flesh-So to be a doer of the word is to be a doer of Christ. How do you do Christ? Believe Christ is your Perfect Finished Works, Good Fruit and Full Reward. Rest in Christ who is your perfect works from God.

@@GRACEismyGOODWORKS7 I'm sorry my friend but God, Jesus, the prophets, and Moses never ever condone lawlessness. If you will read Psalm 119 it will tell you the same things that they say about Jesus are the same things David says about the law. (way-truth-life-Light) Jesus is the word, God's word made flesh, we are supposed to follow. Obedience is better than sacrifice. Do not be deceived when you're standing before God in the judgement I hope you won't say the serpent deceived me and I ate. Eating of the enemy's fruit is sin. Rebelliousness towards God's word is what Satan does. If you were living in the great deception what would it look like? Would it look like the garden where somehow he tricked Eve and twisted God's word? Would it be like the Wilderness when Satan was tempting Jesus and using God's word and twisting it? What purpose did Satan have in twisting the word of God? To get them to fall! To tempt them to sin! If anyone is trying to get you to disobey God's word, REPENT and run! They are a wolf as described. We must willingly die to our flesh and our sinful nature so that Christ may live in us. If your NOT walking like Jesus your not following Him as He lived in the Father's will. You have neither the word (Jesus) in you, or the Father's Spirit guiding you. Putting Jesus in our hearts is the word planted in our hearts so that we might not sin against Him. Meditate on the Old Testament, God's word, day and night you will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water which yields it's fruit in its season and whatever he does prospers. Never depart from her she is wisdom. The Jews added to the word they have their talmood they disregarded God's laws for their own traditions and man made truth. Christians take away from the law by disregarding the entire Old Testament saying it's done away with it's not for them. If the law was never intended for anybody except Israel and the Jews then why did God ever have to take it away from the Gentiles if it was never meant for them in the first place? The enemy has deceived you in circular reasoning. God treats everyone the same; the same laws the same measuring rod, the same Justice. He considers unequal weights and unequal measures on an abomination.

Every time we sin we need to repent of our sin confess and ask God's forgiveness.
But there is a REPENTANCE that happens only once in our life, it is repentance as a SINNER. When we heard the GOSPEL GOD showed us how filthy we are and how helpless we are to save ourselves and there we know we need JESUS. Repentance is a decision we made a change of mind to change our ways to turn 180 degrees and stop rebelling against GOD and follow JESUS. This is a kind of repentance not to be repented of.

Salvation for me comes to this: Are you safe from a sinful life? Ravenhill addresses Christians who have no prayer life, don't have a calling, don't minister to their children, engage in gossip, cheat and lie regularly and are not turning from these sins and *don't struggle to keep their gaze on Jesus. These people feel safe because they go to church every Sunday and have a Bible on a shelf somewhere. They are told that they are safe by their pastors because they come to church, tithe, and seem respectful while in church. Someone needs to tell these "believers" that this sort of Laodicean lukewarm heart attitude will not result in any spiritual growth, and makes God ill per Revelation 3. As Jesus once said, we need to preach to those who are ill, the healthy man does not need medicine.

Repentance is turning away from our sins and replacing it with the Love of Jesus. He gives us His Spirit that will give us the strength and teaches us of His truth. That's how much He loves us. Hosea 10:12
Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the Lord, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.
    Jeremiah 4:3
For thus says the Lord to the men of Judah and Jerusalem: “Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns.
    Hebrews 6:7-8
For land that has drunk the rain that often falls on it, and produces a crop useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God But if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed, and its end is to be burned.
    Jeremiah 7:23
But this command I gave them: ‘Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people. And walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.’ But they did not obey or incline their ear, but walked in their own counsels and the stubbornness of their evil hearts, and went backward and not forward.
    Jeremiah 8:5
Why then has this people turned away in perpetual backsliding? They hold fast to deceit; they refuse to return.
    Jeremiah 9:6
Heaping oppression upon oppression, and deceit upon deceit, they refuse to know me, declares the Lord.
    John 3:19
And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.
    Ephesians 5:11
Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible,
    Jeremiah 23:24
Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord.
    Proverbs 15:3
The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.
    Psalm 90:8
You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence.
    James 1:23-25
For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.
    Luke 11:28
But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”
    Luke 8:21
But he answered them, “My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it.”
    John 13:17
If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.
    Matthew 7:24-25
“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.
    James 4:17
So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.
    John 15:22
If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty of sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.
    Acts 17:30
The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent,
    Luke 24:47
and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 🙏🏼

I like this sermon for it shows one trap that I've fallen prey to before. I see another trap at the other extreme though. If one does not regret and do any work to correct besetting sins, and you think that you're not in any danger, and just wait around for God to fix you, and if He doesn't, then your salvation must not be in question.... I'd say that seems to be a dangerous attitude to espouse. I'm so hard on myself because that trap is just as deadly. Maybe it's because I'm hard on myself, but I feel God's corrections most days. I know the difference between self recrimination and a remonstrance from the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah!

May God's peace and resurrection power overflow in your life. We are at war, brother. The flesh wars against the spirit, and the spirit wars against the flesh. You must, in faith, pick up your cross daily. Fight for purity in the grace and power that God has given you to do so. It is His strength at work in you to sanctify. Pray with this video for deliverance from demonic control, and then remove yourself from the environments that are tempting you to fall back into sin. I have prayed for you. God bless. repentance is an ongoing process in a believer's life.
It is a process when a believer is leaving his old self willed life and sinful lifestyle while continually walk toward way of Christ.
but repentance is also not the work of man on himself but its a work of the Holy Spirit in a believer's life.
when God granted salvation to a believing sinner's life through his faith in Christ, He also granted repentance in his life.

This message came while I was drying off after taking a shower on Saturday April 6, 2019 at around 3:30 in the afternoon (this might not be exactly word for word, but it's close). Here's what came:
"The reason so many Christians are flocking to these false teachers and false prophets and other assorted teachers and preachers on RUclips is because they're hungry spiritually. And because what the teachers and prophets are teaching is devoid of the anointing of the Holy Spirit, their teachings are empty spiritually, so that when people listen to them it gives them a full feeling for a moment, but then not long afterward they're hungry again, so they run back for another feed. And this goes on and on. And they think that what they're doing is something good for themselves spiritually, when in fact the opposite is the truth."
This in turn reminded me of something the Lord told my old mentor nearly thirty years ago, which was that the reason so many Christians are moving from church to church is because the sheep are hungry and can't find food. I'm pretty sure the Lord told him that back in the late 80's. Just now I had a remembrance of this verse of scripture in which the Lord told the prophet Jeremiah:
"My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray; they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their restingplace." (Jeremiah 50:6, King James Version).
Back during the mid-90's outpouring of the Holy Spirit the Lord gave a prophecy in which he said that when the outpouring ended that the enemy was poised to retaliate against the outpouring by raising up the biggest onslaught of religious activity in the history of the Lord's Church (e.g. the RUclips religionists).
He said therefore that what he wanted for Christians was for them not to be doing anything religion-wise, but to stay home and learn to hear the Holy Spirit speaking to them, and to develop a personal relationship with him in the quietness at home. He said that meant no going to church, no going to conferences, no running after teachers, and no getting involved in any religious 'good works' agendas. There were several verses of scripture that accompanied the prophecy, which are these:
"For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved: in in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not." (Isaiah 30:15, King James Version).
"Be still and know that I am God." (Psalm 46:10).
"And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you." (1 Thessalonians 4:11).
"Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief." (Hebrews 4:11).
Back in June of 1995 I heard one of the Christian prophets speak this message, and toward the end of it he reemphasized that the Lord wanted for his people to forego doing anything religion-wise, and to stay home and develop a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit in the quietness at home. I think the reason he was so emphatic about it was because he knew that the Lord regarded it as a very important move against the coming religious onslaught.
There are a couple of other verses of scripture that support this message, and which have to do with identifying the false teachers and false prophets who are parasites on the body of Christ, which are these:
"If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridles not his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this man's religion is vain." (James 1:26).
"These things have I written to you concerning them that seduce you. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him." (1 John 2:26-27).
I think it's worth mentioning that the Apostle James was one of the Lord's younger brothers and was regarded as having the preeminent authority among the Apostles, also that the Apostle John was the Lord's best friend.
In the above verse the Apostle John plainly states that Christians who have the anointing of the Holy Spirit don't need teachers, yet most Christians ignore it and go ahead and heap to themselves teachers anyway (per 2 Tim. 4:3-4), mostly because they're lazy spiritually and want for someone else to do for them what they should be doing for themselves. It's really very sad. My guess is that the'll be as answerable to the Lord as the teachers themselves because they keep them afloat financially. It it wasn't for their support most of the false teachers and false prophets (and other assorted religionists on RUclips) would dry up and blow away.
Furthermore, not only do these presumptuous teachers and so-called 'prophets' not bridle their tongues, they do the opposite and allow themselves to be used as mouthpieces by religious spirits who drive them and drive them to never shut up. And by allowing themselves to be used that way by the demons they become parasites who end up leeching on the body of Christ, and are largely responsible for the current spiritual stagnation of the body of Christ, especially in America (you can tell by reading the comments people post throwing roses at the false teachers and false prophets that they are devoid of spiritual discernment).
These teachers, preachers, and so-called 'prophets' on RUclips exemplify King Solomon's statement that a fool's voice is known by multitude of words. (Eccl. 5:3), as well as his statement: "The horseleach has two daughters crying, give give." (Proverbs 30:15), ("Donate, donate, donate, donate, donate," etc., etc., ad infinitum, ad nauseum). They should all shut up and go get real jobs like normal people do. If they had the anointing of the Holy Spirit to have genuine love in their hearts for their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ that's exactly what they'd do.The reason they don't have that kind of love is because longtime consortium with a religious spirit kills the heart.

I think it would be appropriate to close with this famous quote by Carl Sandburg:
"I won't take my religion from any man who never works except with his mouth, and never cherishes any memory except the face of the woman on the American silver dollar."

"Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. " "In Whom (Christ) we have redemption, even the forgiveness of our sins." "Without the shedding of blood, there is no for remission." "Oh foolish Galatians. I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard? Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh? For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. Hebrews 10:26-27
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13.
I had trouble with a problem along the lines of yours. I had to put trust that the God who created me knows what is best for me. You have to help yourself by not allowing yourself to get into situations which will cause you to sin.

      Christ A Complete Saviour
Or, THE INTERCESSION OF CHRIST, AND WHO ARE PRIVILEGED IN
      IT
by John Bunyan ................................................................................However strange it may appear, it is a solemn fact, that the heart of man,
unless prepared by a sense of the exceeding sinfulness of sin, rejects
Christ as a complete Saviour. The pride of human nature will not suffer it
to fall, as helpless and utterly undone, into the arms of Divine mercy.
Man prefers a partial Saviour; one who had done so much, that, with the
sinner's aid, the work might be completed. No such were the opinions of
John Bunyan; the furnace of sharp conviction had burnt up this proud
dross; he believed the testimony of Scripture, that from the crown of the
head to the soles of the feet all nature is corrupted; so that out of the
unsanctified heart of man proceed evil thoughts, murders, and the sad
catalogue of crimes which our Lord enumerates, and which defile our
best efforts after purity of heart and life. No sinner will ever totally rely
upon the Saviour until he is sensible of his own perishing state; hanging
by the brittle thread of life over the yawning gulf of perdition; sinking in
that sin which will swallow him up in those awful torments which await
      the transgressor; feeling that sin has fitted him as stubble for the fire;
then it is that the cry proceeds from his heart, Lord, save, I perish; and
then, and not till then, are we made willing to receive 'Christ as a
complete Saviour' to the uttermost, not of his ability, but of our necessity.
This was the subject of all Mr. Bunyan's writings, and, doubtless, of all his
preaching. It was to direct sinners to the Lamb of God, who alone can
take away sin. This little treatise was one of those ten 'excellent
manuscripts' which, at Bunyan's decease, were found prepared for the
press. It was first published in 1692, by his friends E. Chandler, J. Wilson,
      and C. Doe.

First Corinthians 15:1-4 is the gospel to believe and be saved. Repentance means change, but you may not completely change at once, when born again God changes our hearts, He changes us to want things of God not just selfishness. 2nd Timothy 2:25-26 Says GOD MUST GIVE YOU REPENTANCE> God saves us and changes us as we grow in Him, but we know in our hearts our want to is different. And Paul never said repent first, Peter said Repent first to the Jews because they had killed their Savior. As you say, we see our need and then God meets our need and saves us. We are saved by faith and grace, they God gives us repentance, CHANGE>

      Acts 20:21
I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.
      Acts 26:20
First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and then to the Gentiles, I preached that they should REPENT AND TURN TO GOD (believe) and DEMONSTRATE THEIR REPENTANCE BY THEIR DEEDS..
Acts 2:38 the day of pentecost which is the start of the church is not just for Jews.
Peter makes it clear in Acts11:18
When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying, “So then, even to Gentiles God has granted repentance that leads to life.”
If we do what Paul says in 1Corintians 15:2 repentance is what he preached.

Repentance is not asking and looking for forgiveness is what realising that you are not sinner not because of you always sin but you are born with it Psalm 51:5 and as said in Gensis 6:5 our mind is continuously evil, and no matter how good work we'll do we can't Be self-righteous in front of god. Leaving all your good works and understanding and abandoning hope in ourselves and believing in Christ who died for sins one time and Made us righteous and holy Hebrew 10:10, 10:14. It's not about changing yourself it's about changing the ruler in our heart that and keeping the faith in him to do the change. The best repentance was shown by the Robber hanging beside jesus on cross, he accepted the fact of what he is and deserve death.we are just like that robber but like jesus said to him "You will be with me at paradise"jesus told you that also. People still think that if they think they'll lose jesus if they sin. They see their work but not jesus work in Calvary. You sin is not bigger than the sacrifice. God killed the snake on the cross but it's poison is still on our flesh we will tremble we will fall but Jesus blood has already sanctified us already washed us already made us righteous our fall cannot tremble the righteous given by our jesus christ stop seeing your bodily works and start seeing The Sacrifice On the cross it's already done you are holy and righteous in spirit through faith. I did and just 50 seconds in he says "saving repentance" that is just scripturally wrong.
For we are saved by grace through faith and it is not of yourselves (eph 2:8). Find me in the bible the term "saving repentance" when talking about the free gift of salvation?
We have received a gift through faith and not repentance and this gift is given freely to whosoever believes on him for they shall not be ashamed (romans 10:11) and the gifts and callings of God are irrevocable (romans 10:29).
Also 5:45 he says we are saved by faith and that is also wrong, it is like he doesnt want to follow what scripture says when it says by his grace.
However most of what he says I agree with like that we should look to Jesus Christ for he is the author and finisher of our faith.

We, humans, are finite creatures attempting to define, understand, and explain infinite truths... we use carnal means to try and justify spiritual things... we are LIMITED creatures trying to explain the LIMITLESS potential.
From where we stand (far below the heavens) it can all seem very confusing and/or contradictory at times. "How is this possible," we scream... but fail to remember that with God all things are possible!
Indeed, at higher levels of study and sanctification, we discover that the scripture really is a dichotomy of dichotomies. It is not always binary... but it is always 100% true, objective, and accurate.
How is that for a great mystery?
Remember... ultimately... the Word is spiritually discerned.
What matters most is the heart behind the intent...
... and Paul Washer certainly has the right heart.
Never forget: it is a most grievous sin when men attribute the work of the Holy Spirit to Satan.

That is, 'as a chaste(#53) virgin to Christ' (2Cor.11:2). Would you tell your wife, Paul Washer, to 'sin no more', or give her 30 years to stop sinning against you? Our sinning is even worse, being 'against God'!! NO! True godly sorrow will work a true repentance to be truly 'freed from sin'. All that is 'not of faith' is sin! @we thepeople , i don't know if washer agrees with me on this, but the repentance is clearly from sin... The difficult thing to know is how much repentance is required? (Clearly, no man turns completely from sin, in deed. So where is the line between repentant and unrepentant? How much sin must be turned away from to earn salvation? And, isn't that "works-based" theology, which contends with the Gospel accounts?)... I think the answer must be, that it is a repentant heart that is required along with belief and profession, in order to be counted among the saints... Pride turned to shame; licensiousness turned to guilt; entitlement turned to indebtedness; rebellion turned to reverence; etc... However, the repentant heart should and does result in the bearing of good fruit. Though, some trees produce better fruit in less time than others produce mediocre fruit... We should be running the race to win, but we will fail, and so does every other son of Adam... We shall know them by their fruits, but God judges the heart.

Paul washer claims salvation is by faith alone but after salvation “true” Christians produce good works for Jesus.... but Jesus IS salvation so if you’re doing good works for Jesus, you’re doing good works for salvation. Moreover, Paul washer denies the only works pleasing to God; the only works Christians are to do are contained in the Gospel-the Good News is God has provided the Good Works as a Gift. Believe Jesus is your Good Works so when God judges all mankind by their works you have nothing to fear when all with sin perish because you have Perfect Works-Christ is your Perfect Works and Full Reward.
While Washer rejects Christ alone is our Good Works, Good Fruit, Holiness and Full Reward-washer measures holiness and ones fruit by things visible, by behavior modification and by ones life-therefore rejecting the truth that all who have received Christ have received His perfect life without sin.

Jesus said you will know them by their fruit-I have showed you my Fruit is Christ-that my fruit is of God. Moreover yes faith without works is dead because as it is written in James 2:24 “Man is SAVED (justified) by WORKS and not by faith alone”. So unless your works can save you, your faith is dead and demonic. My works can save you as they have saved me and all the saints-Jesus is my works and Jesus will save me. This type of preaching really concerns me. Who is the judge as to whether we are saved or not? Do we look at the 'evidence' and come to a conclusion? Are we God?
That said, if you want to know if you are saved or not, you probably are not! That is because salvation is a meeting with God and how can a person meet the Lord and not be sure? It is written, "This is eternal life, that you know God and Jesus Christ Whom He has sent." Conversely, to those being condemned, He will say, "Depart from Me; I never knew you." Repentance and salvation are simply a meeting with God. That is, if you are born again, every breath is dedicated to the service of the Lord.
Referring to the Holy Spirit, Jesus said, "Whoever believes in Me will have rivers of living water bubbling up unto eternal life." For over 44 years, I have not doubted my salvation for a second - not even for one second! Yet, 40 years ago, I did doubt my salvation. How are these two statements possible?
My father was highly abusive. About 40 years ago, while I stood in his living room, he told me, "Not even God could love you!" The thought went through my mind, "Yeah, I guess you are right." However, before I could even finish the thought, the Holy Spirit, like a river, flooded my soul, giving me absolute assurance that I am loved and accepted! Through the blood of Christ, it is as if I had never sinned.
Just for fun, I thought I would estimate my 'period of doubt' with a stopwatch. My guess is that my doubt lasted 0.34 seconds. Hence, I have not had even one second of doubt for my salvation, but I did doubt my salvation!
Yet, I am just a Biblical Christian, nothing fancy. It is written that the Holy Spirit bears witness that we are saved, but do not forget the qualifier, "If indeed the Holy Spirit dwells within you." If you want to know the Lord personally, to have total assurance of your salvation, thank the Lord for giving you such assurance - as if you already have received it! Remember, those who doubt the promises of God will not receive anything from Him. Yet, "Ask and you shall receive."
May the Lord give you a joy that is beyond this world. In prayer, make sure you are totally honest with God! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

You will know them by their fruit, be careful, the early church reformers believed our wills are in bondage to sin. I’m tired of the common straw men arguments of people who don’t understand the gospel and how God elects people in His grace and mercy and pleasure of His will. He owes His mercy to no one, but delights and desires to show it. We all in our unconverted state deserve hell and only eternal judgement. If you are trusting in a decision you made, and not in the finished work of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice which is all sufficient to save sinners, be very careful. And know the only reason you love God is because He first loved you. He chose you, you were rebellious before you were born again of God. Praise God that He changes our hearts and desires to love Him. We have a wonderful God who truly does save. But not because of us, in spite of us He chose us in Christ according to the good pleasure of His will.
