So glad to see you easing up on the alcohol. Good for you!! You are wise to have realized how much it could affect you now that you are cruising more. Enjoyed seeing all the healthy choices available on Queen Anne!
I was on the HAL Nieuw Statendam that same day in Cádiz (visible briefly in port at the sail away). What a lovely city. It was like a blend between Venice, Italy and Valletta, Malta. We were on a 14-day repositioning from Civitavecchia to Fort Lauderdale with stops in Cartagena, Málaga (my absolute favourite), Cádiz, and Ponta Delgada (which we had to cancel). I didn’t realize the Queen Anne is a Pinnacle Class ship and has many similarities in its layout to the HAL Pinnacle ships (Koningsdam, Nieuw Statendam, & Rotterdam). I love this class of ship!
Hi Jamie, really enjoyed this part 1, I thought it's lovely to have 2 consecutive sea days at the beginning of your cruise , it allows you to relax and settle in nicely without having to rush around if you were in port. I thought you looked very handsome in your tux and were great on stage, you're a natural. Xx
I’m glad you are looking after your health. I try not to judge but I unsubscribed from some bloggers as I really didn’t want to see adults really drunk in their vloggs or others who have obviously not looked after themselves over the last couple of years due to excess food and drink and now look so unhealthy. It almost gives cruising a bad press. Sounds as if I’m a health freak but I’m not as I like to have a drink and really love my food but everything in moderation. Food looks lovely on Queen Anne. Love Cadiz btw, especially in the sun. Keep being you… See you in the next one 😊
Excellent episode, loved your contribution to the show, very good acting 👏 Loved looking around Cadiz too, what a lovely city and even better you get to enjoy it without having to pay for an excursion - those are the best kind of ports 😍
Hi Jamie, Great video around Queen Anne, agree excellent food ,plenty of room around ship to sit ,shame prom deck no views or nice seating ,,,, Looking forward to next installment. 😊
What an episode! It's just part 1, but I am totally convinced that the QA is the sort of ship that would be perfect for me. In fact, I'm grateful that I'm on a TA so that I don't feel that I have to get off at ports and can take part in the many activities that I can tell I wanna do. BTW, your appearance in Noir was awesome. You're a natural! If I had to speculate, the cast did a cold read on the audience and identified you as a likely person to good naturedly join in the theatrical fun. It's happened to me and I hope it happens again at Noir.
Cadiz looked beautiful..added to my list. I vastly cut down carbs, sugar, alcohol etc and it really does help. Especially if diabetic or pre-diabetic. Really enjoy your content. Always positive and informative. X
We used to love the promenade deck on the Oriana, plenty of steamer chairs. Sadly missed😢 I don’t drink alcohol simply because it doesn’t agree with me now, you’re right you don’t need it to be sociable.😊 Love the blog, never been on Cunard but Queen Anne looks lovely. Cadiz is one of our favourite stops, love it ❤
Love your videos! Just got home from Lisbon, did the same itinerary on Celebrity Equinox but Valencia changed to Alicante and Malaga ( missed the Alhambra, so sad ) changed to Gibraltar. Had a fantastic time. Saw some of your fellow passengers in Lisbon I think .
It’s a lovely ship. I’m glad they’ve sorted the Britannia restaurant out, It was chaos in August. I couldn’t get on the virtual queue if I wasn’t on there by 5.30 and if I walked in at about 6 pm, I had a job to get a shared table. Noir was great. Food looked good. Lyn is fantastic pianist, her singing can be questionable. 😊
Nice summary of everything Queen Anne Jamie - looking forward to our cruise from Singapore next March. Question regarding drinks - As limited alcohol drinkers we won't be purchasing any drinks package for our trip. I understand there are outlets onboard (Foodhall) to get waters, coffees (plain) at no extra cost, which we will use. My question is - When visiting a bar area - Room 1840 for example - what non alcoholic drinks are available as complimentary?, ie without extra cost or use of a drinks package.? from a couple of cheap Kiwis. Any answers welcomed.
No bars serve complimentary non alcoholic drinks I’m afraid (apart from regular tap water) - it’s just the buffet where you can get teas / coffee / water and juice in the mornings.
Hi Jamie fantastic video your in the wrong game you should be an actor and a singer as your great at both love your confidence Queen Anne looks amazing like the fact that you can get hot options for breakfast as room service other cruise lines should take note enjoy the rest of your cruise💕
Love your channel. 9:15 To those who don’t love the look of this ship, I say: You have the other Cunard Ships. Not everything has to be for everyone, and you can’t have it all! 🤣 I happen to love the modern [kinda Art Deco] twist to the Queen Anne. I can't wait to see it in person for the first time. I board tomorrow 11:46 youtube.com/@TravelBlogJamie do you know if you can request a specific table if you know the table number?

I agree you don’t need to travel to Seville from
Cadiz and yes I love Seville too, but Cadiz is beautiful 😍
It really is beautiful 😍
Was there any ‘tat’ markets open in Cádiz Jamie?
Not on our visit

@TravelBlogJamie that's true
Great vlog as always, Jamie. Glad your experience in the speciality restaurant was so much better. Always brightens my day watching your content. xx
I’m relieved - it’s always nice to be able to show great experiences
I hope you’re doing ok ❤️
@@TravelBlogJamie I'm much better thanks. It's been a long slog but I'm recovering well. Just a few wobbles. Thanks for asking. Take care. xx
Hi Jamie enjoyed this first vlog x did you say for two weeks solo in an inside cabin it’s was £1300 altogether 😊
Yes that’s correct
❤❤❤❤
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Looks like a good deal for a solo cruise- I struggle to match that price for 1 week!
It’s true - I believe prices were been better a few weeks before sailing!
Did your fare include a solo supplement or was it just doubled as a solo to double?
That was the fare - it wasn’t double, it’s not always double contrary to what some people think
Love your channel.
