    Hi,please recommend me diet for diarrhea

    • @NourishwithMelanie
      @NourishwithMelanie  2 года назад

      Hello Sabita! Generally speaking, it is recommended to avoid foods that can worsen loose movements such as spicy or fatty foods, as well as fried fruits. Try and include foods that are gentle on the stomach (unless you have an intolerance or allergy) such as vegetables, bread, rice and yoghurt, while also keeping up your water intake. If the diarrhoea persists for a long time, I would recommend seeing your doctor for further advice.

      I work part time as a PCA and while I’m on the job I chew peppermint gum. I still do regular household cleaning stuff with a little more help from my husband. He knows I’m tired so when I tell him I need to rest he understands.

    Protein and B1 help with nausea.

    • @NourishwithMelanie
      @NourishwithMelanie  3 года назад

      You are right about protein! However, more research is needed to determine if thiamine (vitamin B1) is safe and effective in relieving morning sickness.

    • @SecretplaceintheGlory
      @SecretplaceintheGlory 3 года назад

      @@NourishwithMelanie thiamine is safe, it is water soluble and can never be overdosed. It is stored in the liver. But we burn through b1 very quickly. It is required in our bodies to produce energy, specifically ATP, without which we could experience extreme fatigue. B1 can be found in pineapple, watermelon, grains, beef, peas, and lentils, and more. The main sight of use for B1 in the body is the digestive tract, that is where the digestive system derives most of its energy.

    • @NourishwithMelanie
      @NourishwithMelanie  3 года назад

      @@SecretplaceintheGlory Thanks for sharing! Again, I very much agree with you that thiamine (and other B-complex vitamins) play a role and are best to be consumed through whole foods. The efficacy of thiamine supplementation in relieving symptoms has not been confirmed.
