When my mum got married too my step dad November 2019, she had her mind set on walking down the aisle to a thousand years, and she couldn’t find a good piano cover she wanted, so I volunteered (I have been learning piano since late 2017) to learn how to play it. So I got special considerations in my piano classes at school and my assessment was to learn the full 4-5 page song, and I did. I practiced on the keyboard in my room every night and learnt how to do it on my own. She, her friend, me and my sister as her friend as a maid of honour, me a junior bridesmaid and my sister flower girl, and of course my mum walked to an audio of me playing a thousand years on the grand piano. When I showed her the recording that I had taken the day I perfected it. She cried out the backyard. Now whenever she hears it she cries. ❤️

You see, when I first heard this song I had recently lost my grandfather and I had been holding my emotions inside me but when I heard this song, everything suddenly came rushing out. I had needed to cry so badly but had been fighting it. But with the tears came a sense of peace. Thank you again for this.
