It’s because it’s faked. In all seriousness I find this way easier as well, chords are more complicated than individual notes, so notes are easier to pick out and put together. Once you have the melody established you can find the root note, and use time signature to figure out what chords are being played, and when.

I’m actually so confused - this guy can pick up complex lines and chordal arrangements that I absolutely could not get by ear yet, but something like this melody I would have got twice as fast.
Not an ego thing, just really difficult to understand how this could happen!

@@thenaiveofficial2670 you can achieve this perfectly with practice and experience. I'm convinced this is genuine because he doesn't use the conventional fingerings or even the same chords a lot of times, but good approximations.
