What is the correct rating for the Schottky Diode?
We used a 1N5817 Schottky Diode which is rated for 20V and 1A. You can even improve on this design according to the Pico Datasheet.
Is there any way to use the data in Weewx ?
Since WeeWX can import CSV files, there should be a way to convert the JSON data into the correct CSV format, so that you can use it in WeeWX.

Thonny is preinstalled on Raspberry Pi. Hence it is the easiest and cheapest solution for most people. Of course there are more powerful IDEs.
