I’m new. M1 ultra came today. Never saw anyone use masking. Wondering what that is for?
Paper masking is applied to the wood prior to cutting so that we can minimize any char clean up or the kerf settling on our non-engraved parts.
It’s something I like to do with engravings because I’m lazy and don’t want to have to sand or use alcohol to clean up any project.
Some people never use it, some of us do. It’s 100% your preference.
