I updated my drives one by one while on hot spot, I was dealing with a 966.4MB update left it for a while to have dinner. When I came back the pc is still updating, then I checked my phone my hotspot stopped when I was about to connect it I noticed that it was still updating. Then I realized that my ethernet is now working. Thanks a bunch for this video! God bless you and keep safe man!
Should of gone here first. After 30 minutes with my internet provider we both thought it was the cables that I had. We even switch routers. Doing method 1 of this video of disabling and then enabling the ethernet cable setting fixed the issue.
Ok, I spent three hours looking for a solution and I finally found one. Go to device manager and find your Ethernet adapter and look up the name on google or binge.(mine was Realtek gaming gbe family controller, mine had a yellow error sign over it hence it was pretty easy to find). After all that is sorted out. Uninstall the driver and click delete the driver software for this device.(it is a little box to the left, you must check it then uninstall or the bad driver will install when pc is reset or shutdown). Lastly got the google search of your driver and find the one suitable for your windows software. Aka 10,7,11…. I hope this saves people time.

I tried all of it and didn't work for me so I read the comments and a lad said hard reboot ur pc (hold power bottom till screen is black) leave it for a minute turn back on and problem sorted I'm buzzing cheers lad. I tried restating about 10 times did nothing so hard rebooting must be the one give it a go guys
What if Ethernet isn’t even showing up in your Network Connections? New PC, took the Ethernet cable out of the old pc sitting right next to it, plugged it in, lights are lit showing the connection on the motherboard but it’s not showing up in windows

It was like this after it was arrived. then I sent it back again and they told me there was a missing program and they couldn't fix it, they said they would send me a new computer, but they still haven't sent it, unfortunately.
I have an Acer Aspire E1-571 that was updated to Windows 10 and it works perfectly, with the exception of the ETHERNET port, that is, when I put the network cable, it works for a while and the connection drops out of nowhere. As for the WI-FI, it WORKS NORMALLY. It is important to point out THAT IT IS NOT THE CABLE NOR THE ROUTER, as it works normally in Windows 7 on the same machine and on a desktop with Dell Windows 10. I got in touch with Acer support, it provides drivers only for Windows 8, and the machine has an i5 processor, with 6 GB of memory and the maximum it could use is Windows 8.1. Has anyone gone through this and managed to solve it?

update. you know what it was. apparetly my pc doesnt recieve internet when the cord is plugged into the modem. for some reason it HAS to be plugged into a router and wouldnt do wifi either. why? 🤷♂️ literally no idea.
none of these are works However i have a pet rabbit and when i was following the cable i saw a little cut. Turns out my pet chewd a couple of wires inside my ethernet cable. I repaired the cable and it works now. One or two of these solution probably would work but remember the most basic; check your cables for cuts etc.
So I have the same issue, my PC will recognize my iphone hot spot ethernet connection, but not modem to PC ethernet connection. I bought a new ethernet cable so that's not the issue I'm fairly certain. Is there anyone that's found a solution to something like this?
