I like that they added Captain Jack Sparrow to Pirates of the Caribbean. I rode the one in Disneyland for the first time in 1968. I love that Disney sticks to their roots and keeps the old attractions.
Fun fact: The original carousel of progress was at Disneyland. The original ending was the GE refrigerator of the future in Avocado green with the ice and water on the outside.When we got that refrigerator I declared the ride old and needed to be updated. I was a kid!
I love that they used Imagineers for a lot of character designs. Madam Leota is one of my favorites since Leota and her daughter Kim both ended up being imagineers that worked on a lot of the same attractions. In one of the Disney+ series about the parks Kim says that she likes to be in the parks before they open because she can hear the voice of her mom coming from Haunted Mansion. A very fun and unique way that their family can stay connected to her for generations!
Most excellent video!!! The “little details” are what make Disney so rich and keep bringing many of us back. Love the nod to Sound of Music - at the beginning, of course. BTW - when did Roy announce the name change to include Walt’s name? I have a vague recollection it was late in the process so there was mad rush to get signage done in a timely fashion. Also, on Splash Mountain does the gopher still say “FSU”? I seem to have missed it recently. It was especially fun to see Molly learn new things (e.g., Memento Mori ghosts). The cast members ARE the magic!!! Thank you and please keep bringing us these fun details. 😀

Cinderella who named him pronounces it “Jack” as does he himself. Please say JACK so as to preserve his true name! He deserves it! He’s one of my son’s all time favorite characters. He would die for a Jaq and Gus meet n greet.

I took photos of every panel of the mosaic in the Castle breezeway and used them as part of my daughters Cinderella themed room
