Combo Guide Unlocked: ruclips.net/video/4NNKb4T7M8g/видео.html My matchups where: R 1: Tenpai R2: That Exodia Gold Sarc deck R3: Yubel Fiendsmight R4: White Forrest Runick Btw I'm sorry for everyone who thought this was gonna be zombies..... trust me guys, I wish it was zombies too.... 😓
I have played with this deck for months. I just saw this build and I must say is almost identical to mine but there are a couple of key differences. 1) i don't run strenna package, if they throw handtraps or you draw badly you rarely have both strenna+jasmine on the field. Also hypertron isn't that good, they can nib you when you try to leave main phase or imperm or droplet you in their draw phase and that card is useless. Instead I run Typhoon (saved my ass multiple times especially when after 3 habdtraps I could only pass with Sera) and the traptrix link 3 (sometimes you can otk with it) 2) I run 2 Garden and I will explain you the reason why. Is a good bait. It happened multiple times that I played against someone and they used ht on pudica because they know how strong garden is either because they knew the deck or because we were on game 2 or 3 already. It's really likely to have hands where you have Pudica+Arachnocampa or Pudica+Garden. Now if they use ht on pudica and you jave arachnocampa you can still combo fine and they wasted an ht that could have stopped Sera. If you have Garden already in hand you can't use Pudica's effect on normal summon because if they don't hand trap it you will get a game loss for illegal activation and if they do handtrap you and you use Garden theycan request a deck check and get you an istant game loss. On the other hand if you normal Pudica without effect they will istantly know you have Garden in hand and play with that in mind. You have no idea how many times having just the 1 garden came up, enough to even toy with builds with only 1 or 2 Pudica but in the end I simply left 3 ludica and 2 Garden and I must say that it works wonders, many times I even draw the 1 Garden with 2 Traptricks (or 1 ragnaraika+1 traptrick) without needing pudica. For the same reason I also play a 41 deck because it gives more chances to not draw multiples. 3) I run 2 Bloom, the card is too strong and it came up more then 1 time. Is litteraly the 1 card that can start the whole engine alone. 4) no prosperity. It's a sacky 1 off. Not good in top deck mode. You can realisticly only use it for a banish 3 because with a 6 you litterally are cutting off some of your lines. Doesn't let you otk and there are hands where you absolutely can (stag sovereign with bloom up is a 3600 and Bengalancer is a 2800 meanihg if you were able to clean the field you just need anything with 1600 or more atk. For this very reason I run the link 3 traptrick because it's a negate and also can pop a monster and helps in the otk a lot. 5) I run the black goat. I tried it initially for fun but I must say that is a great card. If you set it and know what to name it can fuck up your opponent a ton. Name the fusion against yubel and see how much it will struggle to combo now against your deck. Is also a really good discard for Boculutea. Good enough that sometimes I start with Boculutea even if I could normal summon first because I know they have 1 monster in the field that could fuck me up and I can force it out by banishing black goat and saying its name. Other cool things you can do is that if they handtrapped you and you could only pass with Sera+Mantis you can use Mantis in Draw to bounce in hand Black goat, triggering Sera to set Boculutea, then you can use Boculutea in the turn to discard black goat and you can then summon Pudica or myrmelleo as interruptions and then you can also banish black goat from gy to name a key combo piece. For black goat to be good you need a good understanding of what to name so it can be hard against deck you don't know well or that have too many extenders but that is also why it is really easy to side it out against some matchups in favor of more impactful cards. 6) I ran both x2TTT and x2 Tune. TTT is obvious why I use it, is really strong going first and second. Tune is honestly just my preference but I can easily see why most would not want to use it. I understand that if they ash you is a neg 1, but I discard most of the time stuff like Black goat or traptrick traps and Black goat is good in the gy and traptrick traps can be recovered from gy with Sera summoning Dionae so is not really a neg, also if dionae is already in hand Tune is a good way to use his effect on normal to get a free body. Honestly why tune draeing 2 is good I mostly run it to make people waste Ash, I assure you most players read draw 2 and Immediately ash it. I can see an argument to replace it with Droplet to get same discard synergies but also a better going second grip. 7) I don't run ash and veiler. I only run trap handtraps and that has turned so many fucking times offline TTT and Thrust from my opponents. That is also why if I go first when my opponent is doing combos I always try to only activate Sera in BP and to use first the traps to disrupt combos and only monsters as a last resource. I had a dozen of games where people showed me after the game that they had sometimes even 2 of a combination of Talent and Thrust and that I never made them live. Also because not many run trap handtraps, a few times I had people having Crossout and siding it out because they didn't have the targets to make it useful against me or who had Called by the grave and nothing to negate. The negative is that sometimes I don't draw handtraps and I'm ovrewhelmed. I will not lie to you going second against snake eye or yubel is horrible if I don't draw ht and they go full combo but honestly this deck was never meant to go against those tier 1 or 0 decks. Traptricks is a rogue and I must say for a rogue I'm impressed how many games I was able to take against decks that are tier 2 or are considered really strong rogue decks. Also sometimes you can take down a tier 1 or 0 if the opponent doesn't know how to properly play his deck or doesn't have a complete list because of budget restrictions. The Yubel and Tenapi matchups in particular are ones you can absoultely win if you go first and open a decent hand. Unless they open the hand of God.
That's quite the read.... let's see. Is a good point with Hyperion, I would make Rafflesia if I could but most hands need a tribute for Jasmine, I would just be left with 1 level 4 on the field so I figure might as well overlay into Strenna so I can plus of the Jasmine tribute. Plus, it meant that if they imperm, impulse or ash Jasmine you at least get a negate on the field. If they droplet it that's ok, it's better for us for them to Hyperion then Sera. Interesting argument on running 2 garden, your opponent already need to have 2 handtraps to stop you, one for the normal summon and one for Sera. Sometimes I did brick by opening garden and just 1 traptrix. I can see why you would run 2 bloom in case seed gets negated, the only reason I chose not to is to make room for more non engine and blooms always grabs it anyway and if you open it, just search 2 monsters instead. Very cool interactions with black goad laughs. It's a really good card indeed, I assume you play it instead of ash? I wouldn't play tune tho, If you open it alone or you need the trap to discard for Holetea it dose nothing. And if you risk discard a trap from hand and your opponent ashes it, most of the time is gg right there. I would rather play more non engine instead to help going second like you said. The deck is already pretty constant and good going first. I can see why you don't play monster hand traps, The deck already runs, Domius Purge, Evenly and Imperm, so running more board barkers like droplet and TTT. I had an ok time Yubel and Tenpai, I used Hyperion against tenpai to negate raigeki (that was fun :) ), and post side you put in the judgments, crossouts and called by. With Yubel or Snake eyes, if you open imperm + dominus purge, you have a fair chance to win in the grind game or maybe even otk going second. I would like to see your list, if you don't mind, please feel free to join the Discord server and drop your decklist there. It's seem very interesting. Thanks for your time to write all this btw, it was a very good read :)
Interesting deck list! I haven't played in a long while, what do you think about the Labrynth package that some people played some time ago? I don't know if it's just worse than even pure traptrix or why nobody seems to consider it anymore.
Thanks, I've put a lot of thought into it. I've used to use Labrynth in this deck a while back and went undefeated once. Good times. But now the Ragnaraika engine is just better
I build a Traptrix deck myself and wonder why you don't play Traptantalizing Tune, which is basically Pot of Greed for this deck. I also play one Beargram because i like the extra board wipe and that my opponents monster can't respond to my trap activation. I was considering to play a bigger Raika package so i can play the link - 4 Dryas which searches for it's continues trap card which negates all of your opponents monsters on the field at activation. It's very hard for me to build this deck because there are so many good choices. One choice that i really love was to play a one-off Flowerdino this card can special summon itself if your opponent plays a spell or you a trap card. If he is send to the gy, you can shuffle up to 3 banished traps & spells back. This recylces my Traptantalizing tune and Haleutea, i use him as XYZ material, detach him and get my ressources back.
Those are a bunch of cool ideas. I personably believe Traptantalizing Tune is cope, in most hands you're only going to open 1 or 2 traps, witch you are gonna need to combo (I've just uploaded a combo guide here if you're interested: ruclips.net/video/4NNKb4T7M8g/видео.html ) and as you can imagine this is a huge ash bait. If you get ashed you that's a big -2 for you or if you don't draw another trap from the combo it won't end well. It also leaves you more open to lose to a droll and It's basically just a win more and I've never found myself missing it thought-out testing or playing at tournaments. Flowerdino is an interesting tech choice. If you want to share more of your ideas along side screenshots feel free to join my discord server. I've just made it and it's a place for all my fans to share interesting ideas such as yours (Here's the link for that: discord.gg/yprqwgzG )
@@u.r.a. Maybe it is a bit of cope but you can Chose between discarding a plant/insect or normal trap. Technically you can refund the cost by banishing Traptantalizing Tune. For me this card made sense because i run not that many traps and this card together with Baromet that i play give me my ressources back and Flowerdino gives me the Tunes back. I saw your combo video and can understand why Traptantalizing Tune may be a bit too much. But if you don't play it, wouldn Baromet be a nice extra deck monster? It gives you your Raika Dance back, special summons a Traptrix monster and draws you a card?
Yeah, I was experimenting with Baromet for a while, but I found it not consistent enough, and with props to 1 now you need to keep this deck as contestant as possible
hey man! brazilian player here, I already have a trusty old traptrix deck that I enjoy playing and the ragnaraika cards themselves are pretty affordable, def considering building this. however for some god forsaken reason the dominus purges are like 150-200BRL a pop so a trio would cost more than the entire rest of my deck lmao. don't really got that kinda budget just for playing locals so, would you recommend any budget alternatives? I'm thinking either more trap holes and/or a pair of rikka princesses as free extenders. already run in my trix deck for the potential extra value off of queen
Hello my friend from Brazil. Yeah, this card went up in price recently. I would recommend playing 1 extra trap hole (of your choosing depending on your locals) and 2 other handtraps like effect veiller instead. I hope this helps, feel free to ask any questions you might have :)
there is something that i can trade in the place of dominus purge? (sorry for the bad english) in brazil this card costs so much and i want to know if another card can do something like she
Yes, funny enough I had other Brazilian fan ask the same question (No need to apologies for your English, it's pretty good) I would recommend playing 1 extra trap hole (of your choosing depending on your locals) and 2 other handtraps like effect veiller or orge instead.
Thank you, I've spend a lot of time perfecting it and feel free to sub because there are many more cool deck profiles coming. As for the parallel exceed, I don't think it's good in a this build as the combo locks you into plants, insects and reptiles, so it's better to run aracnocampa instead to make and trigger Sera
That's a really interesting question, I don't play master duel that much but I've had a quick look at the new cards and such and the only card that's missing would be Dominus Purge, but you can just play 3 max instead.
The problem is room, you could run two or three in case seeds gets negated, but it's generally not worth it as you will always summon seed in the combo and get bloom for free, I would rather run more hand traps instead.
No, it's better to summon seed of jasmine 100% of the time. You need your hand to combo off and need your normal on a traptrix to get Sera, meaning that you need to special the seed and potentially have to banish a key combo card.

Exceed is more of a pure Traptrix tech because they don't have much extension, and you don't have to worry about locks nearly as much.
Yeah, I used Exceed in my traptrix build before the Ragnaraikas came out.
Question: what changes do i need to make if i want to try this is master duel? i use to play pure traptrix and would like to learn this variant
That's a really interesting question, I don't play master duel that much but I've had a quick look at the new cards and such and the only card that's missing would be Dominus Purge, but you can just play 3 max instead.

is it worth running more blooms?

Is it good to run more seeds???
