You mentioned keeping benghalancer in grave for the crackback, but since you can't use the bounce effect, I feel like having a 2500 atk vanilla (2800 with bloom) is a little underwhelming. I guess it still is a free body, but I'd rather just summon it turn 1 as an extra interruption instead I feel like.
I did say that's up to personal preference, personally I was playing for the grind game hence why I was keeping him in grave in case of a evenly, dark rule or rageki. I didn't find myself missing the extra interruption from Benghalancer turn one as the rest was enough to stop my opponent completely or a least enter a easily winnable grind game. This was my mentality and it paid off during the WCS event, when I got evenly matched round 2, summoning Benghlancer on the crackback to have a bounce in the grind game won me that match, but like I said that's just me, I'm a more cautious player in general. I completely understand if you want to summon BEng lancer turn 1, that's technically the better play.
Yep, definitely some valid points, especially the evenly part. Having him for a grind game after getting evenly'd could be the difference maker for sure. I guess I will continue to play around with leaving benghalancer in grave then.
Yeah, it allows you to play around evenly quite easily. Just keep the Sera in GY until your oponent summons a monster. This way you can keep stag on field or hunting dance, then summon Sera and use hunting dance to trigger her summon effect. Just a few cool tips 😎
If you use dominus purge (which is a pretty mediocre card, all it does is stop a search) you get locked out of using s:p little knight (DARK) and the whole ragnaraika engine, as skeletal soldier is FIRE. Selene snapper (WATER) and chain coils (FIRE) aren't too useful, but you also lock yourself out of using them by triggering dominus purge. The monsters you want to banish off of mantis monk's effect are evil seed and samurai beetle, as you can summon them next turn with bloom's second effect. Mostly unrelated, but since you use a budget ragnaraika engine (only 1 seed) you technically didn't need to run/buy bloom, as you can add wicked butterfly (run her at 2 copies, or run 1 and 1 armored lizard) and samurai beetle off of his effect, then banish wicked butterfly to trigger her effect and get 1-2 draws in the end phase. It's what i did before i got my playsets of evil seed and bloom.
Thanks for you time to write this, first off, I feel like dominus purge is very underrated as it won me games, plus if you also open imperm, it turns into a destroy as well. If you go first it's even better as it doesn't lock you if you set it first. Speaking about the lock, it's not game ending, You aren't going to summon S:P that much as it's a warrior (I've only needed to summon S:P once). The only card you care about is Skeletal Soldier and most hands can play without using his effect. You can still summon him to put Beatle in gy and summon. And no it's not a budget ragnaraika engine. You don't need more as jasmine summons seed from deck and that gets you Beatle and bloom. I used the extra space to play more non engine. If you don't play Jasmine then yeah, then you'll need to play more seed and bloom. You can see in the decklist that I'm also playing 1 butterfly and 1 lizard as extenders and search targets depending on the opening hand. You do bring some good points tho, I can see your viewpoint on the matter and yeah, you could chose not to run dominus purge if you don't want to.
@@u.r.a. I thought it was a budget build, because 3 seed gives the deck the consistency it needs, i do run jasmine (and benghalancer) as well, but i don't always go for the "tribute strenna/a traptrix to summon evil seed from deck" line, because jasmine isn't immune to impermanence like sera is. If you go first and open pudica, another traptrix name and evil seed, but your opponent stops your traptrip garden search, your combo usually ends right there, but evil seed lets it go further, as you can summon it by discarding the other traptrix name. I run 2 wicked butterfly for this exact same reason, by discarding her i can special summon evil seed or any traptrix, which triggers sera and lets me extend further. And even if your searches go through because the opponent didn't draw any handtraps, that just means you have extra bodies on field to summon rafflesia (if you know the opponent is running nibiru) early. There are a lot of reasons to max out evil seed and run more than 1 copy of wicked butterfly and bloom, it's all i'm saying. I suggest you head to "Tetrosphere"'s channel and watch his videos, while you might end up disagreeing with his ratios (he's allergic to wicked butterfly for some reason) he's one of the few who shows up the many combo lines you can pivot to if your normal gets handtrapped. If you own the deck in master duel you can just practice a lot in ranked as well, or even solo if only to learn the combo lines before you test the deck out against other people.
My friend, there was S:P and 3 Dominus Purge in that build, not to mention most of the traptrixs and holes are max rarity, it ain't budget at all 😂 But yeah, the thing is, Jasime is indeed weak to imperm, but same is opening Seed. Either way imperm hurts. I could see why you would run 2 Butterfly, it's a really good card, and helps extend past the normal summon but again it's just all about room. I used to run 3 seed 3 bloom and such, but I found myself often wishing those extra copies where non engine. It's just personal preference. This is the way I felt most comfortable with the deck and I got some good results to show for it. I've been playing traptrix on and off ever since the structure deck after all. I'm aware of Tetrosphere, from my understanding he plays a lot of traptrix ragnariaka. I respect the guy. And I don't really like Master Duel, I have the cards in real life, so I just go to locals to test, besides using Omega in my free time.
The first combo shows that, I've said it can be any trap including Dominus Purge, it's not really a combo piece, it just a handtrap that works really good in this deck and can be used as discard father or trigger Sera.
Only veiler would really work to fully stop sera. You can still play if they ash the summon effect. You can always make a second sera or use an extender to go into Jasmine and do your ragnaraika plays. It all depends on your hand
If u use Arachnacampa's effect to sp from hand, u r locked into plant/insect from the extra deck for the rest of the turn. Sooo if that's how u played for the tournament, those judges need to get fired...
I did realize that not too long ago and in all fairness I thought it locks you into the tri-type and so did everyone else. But it's all good as from 8 games I've only used this line with Mantis and Arachnacampa like once. The rest of the time I've opened Mormelo / Pudica or I got handtrapped and didn't get to go into Stag (Sera + handtraps for the win). All it changes is that you can't finish on Stag as part of your end board if you have to use Arachnacampa' s effect.
Besides relaying on the handtraps and evenly, I've used sapper to get rid of backrow, S:P to get rid of monsters and such. Plus, the deck can play through 1 or 2 interruptions, and the monsters got a bunch of attacks, so just go battle phase and swing.
I agree, decks have gotten quite crazy lately and sadly this particular build of zombie won't do that well against the meta, however, I belive other builds such as PUNK, or Horus can. Especially after we get the Duke. Some of my fans have already shown me some crazy builds and combo lines on the Discord server. There is potential. Plus PUNKs are getting support soon, and it turns that helps zombies.
@jaredricci9278 I'm so sorry lol, I've just uploaded a zombie deck profile, and I got a lot of comments from it, I thought yours was one of them. Yeah I believe the deck can still hold up, it's very solid all around with multiple kids of disruption for different scenarios and such. Plus, who knows Konami might give plans or Ragnaraikas more support in the future.
Why do u add samurai beetle instead of the other ragnaraika that draws later? Add bloom + thet ragnaraika that draws; banish this one -> eff to draw in end phase; activate bloom: add samurai beetle; eff of beetle to special himself from hand returning the banished one; then same combo as before
Nice, Absolutely Insane!
Thank you, I've cooked a lot with this build and the proof is in the pudding, Easy 4 - 0 at WCS

Add bloom + thet ragnaraika that draws; banish this one -> eff to draw in end phase; activate bloom: add samurai beetle; eff of beetle to special himself from hand returning the banished one; then same combo as before
Because when you use bloom's effect to add from deck you need to banish 1 card from hand afterword's and I didn't want to do that
