This song had me thinking of the Anathema with some Tool references together. Excellent play Daniel, so glad you guys are back again. Reminds of the good old days. Cheers
2 first tracks on the album are winners, the rest is not my vibe despite I'm the Anathema fan for above 15 years. But Synaesthesia is soooo gooood, totally nailed it! It's something between old Anathema, in more black metalish phase, and Anathema modern singin style, and this music background (melody) reminds me Puscifer, but those details and your Anathema souls you put in it are giving more, I'm just forgetting myself with this track. I love drums here, every single part of it is genius, it's giving this progressive vibe. Yeah I think that I love this track so much because as a whole it's relating to Angel and Deep somehow on a instrumental layer. Totally love it:)) Crossing my fingers for you!!!!
Great job on this one! The song is in some parts very repetitive, like a lot of Anathema stuff, and by your playing, space and fills you open up the song more. Love the heavier parts in this particular song. Would love to hear more of this from Daniel and you.
I have no idea if Anathema will ever return as Anathema. For the time being the closest you can get is Weather Systems (Danny) and The Radicant (Vinny). Both these projects deserve attention and love.
Nice interesting video. It kept me watching till the end. Btw, I am curious about what are that moments in Anathema songs you are talking about on 5:30?
Particularly on the albums that I recorded drums for (Distant Satellites and The Optimist), things had to be strictly simple and often forcefully basic, but I'm not complaining. It all comes down to the vision of the creator and this time the creator (Danny) wanted me to be more creative myself, and so I was.

Great album. For me it's an Anathema natural evolution. Sad you guys disbanded.

Incredible drumming, always appreciated your talents in the last few Anathema tours. Any chance Weather Systems will tour?
