As Angus Young once said : i can't stand when people say we've made 14 albums that sound the same! Actually we've made 15 albums that sound the same! And people still love it, that's the essence of Rock and Roll, it's classic, powerful and sturdy, and it keeps on going
i'm glad this was a guitar and drum chronology, otherwise we'd be hearing the same drum beat for 80% of the video XD I like AC/DC, but man they've got some really repetitive drumwork
RocketBomberAndyb True dat! I like AC /DC but virtuoso soloing or syncopated grooves are not required 😂 That said, I admire their drummers for their ability to keep the beat for hours on end & not feel tempted to add copious fills!
At the height of the plastic instrument craze I was really into Rock Band, mostly playing drums. Then I bought the AC/DC Live track pack because they are one of my favorite bands and boy, playing drums for that was more a chore than anything else.
Who's discography it's a fucking mess (I downloaded all the stuff). Lot of holes to cover, lot of compilations (none of those contains all the singles remaining and non-album songs together). Even the upcoming "definitve" compiliation is incomplete.
This was really awesome, and the fact that you payed attention to early AC/DC, referred to the Australian Bon albums and approached it like Aussies was awesome! \m/
HWBotbyl I heard that the drums on that album were 90% programmed by Mutt Lange with Rik just playing hihat live for the human feel. Given that Rik was still recovering from the accident at the time it's not unbelievable. Besides, that snare sound I swear has a high tom mixed in there for some depth to the gated crack of the backbeat...impossible to do on real life! 😆
max van der horst Mutt Lange has always been a control freak so he could be exaggerating. I definitely believe Rik played the majority of the drums on the album, but as he was having to come back from major surgery I don't doubt he was helped in the studio whilst he got back to full health!

awesome work made guys, watching your chanel when you made drum chronology for Green Day, and sound was always nice but now video is too awesome, respect to you
Ignoring the open b note between all the other notes you played: 12 10 9 10 9 7 9 *7 5 7 5 4 5 4 5 4*. But the correct way is 12 10 9 10 9 7 9 *5 7 4 5 4 5 4 5 4*. The mistake is playing the 7th and the 5th twice(not in succession) the first half, this: 12 10 9 10 9 7 9 is correct but the rest is not
Yeah there's the one that starts the song, where angus alternates between hammering on the 4th and 7th fret with the 5th and 8th fret on the b string (intro riff) And a few bars later angus changes riffs to a descending one, starting on the 12th, and making its way down, which is what you're seeing and hearing here.
The best thing to performed this AC/DC drum chronology is to bring Mister Lindsay McDougall from Frenzal Rhomb with his guitar to performed with you, Kye! : )
I'm so happy as a huge dedicated fan my whole life that u did every song. U didn't just do the ones that every "fan" knows the most played ones. But u didn't a fuckinh a job both of u. I'm so happy u did the songs taht not many people know and I have to say angus and the band would be honored. May AC/DC live on forver they are the fuckinh best.... \m/ 😈 \m/

The problem is that there are less repetitive bands that make some great rock and roll music. What AC/DC does is just ridiculous
Fanchus second best selling album in history under Michael jacksons thriller is definitely ridiculous...
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it
Luke Smith Exactly
@@Fanchus absolutely agree. AC DC are so boring. As rockerd thay are good. But as musicians they are so limited.
That drumstick camera bit at 3:40 mimicking the music video for "Thunderstruck" was a nice addition.
This is the most Australian video ever uploaded to RUclips
AC/DC 's not australian actually, but scotish, thanks
Robin - CS:GO & More!
The band was formed in Australia, but the members where born in the United Kingdom.
So.. I guess.. he was like part right?
no Wallabies, OP still wrong
Have you seen The Big Lez Show?
Smoko
crazy location
Allen Marks it makes sense when you think about it. Ac means alternating current and D.C. Means direct current so the setting fits well with the name
im not saying its a bad location, im just saying its crazy. Like crazy cool
Lindsay McDougall actually lives there. He swings from power lines in his free time and feeds on pesky teenagers who wander in.
High Voltage
Holy Tiger yeah ac/dc tought of that when making their name
Hey man you gotta do one for Led Zeppelin that would be awesome
i'm glad this was a guitar and drum chronology, otherwise we'd be hearing the same drum beat for 80% of the video XD
I like AC/DC, but man they've got some really repetitive drumwork
BiLL93x ha well I guess if ain't broke don't fix it
RocketBomberAndyb True dat! I like AC /DC but virtuoso soloing or syncopated grooves are not required 😂

RocketBomberAndyb, simple but it gets the done
At the height of the plastic instrument craze I was really into Rock Band, mostly playing drums. Then I bought the AC/DC Live track pack because they are one of my favorite bands and boy, playing drums for that was more a chore than anything else.
Lol even their guitar work is quite repetitive. They use the same power chords for most songs.
The Who drum chronology! That would be awesome!
That would be insane !
mrdomofan56 it would be very hard
Who's discography it's a fucking mess (I downloaded all the stuff). Lot of holes to cover, lot of compilations (none of those contains all the singles remaining and non-album songs together). Even the upcoming "definitve" compiliation is incomplete.
ThePowerslave6697 personally i think all their songs with moon are great
Up
How to play drums like in AC/DC: Keep doing the same straight beat. (By the way, it's not as easy as it seems, props to Phil Rudd)
Because most other songs that don't have electronic drums don't use the same exact drum beat?
@@Aiden-cp7kl and yet u see it as a positive when ac dc does it?😉
I Hope Kye make Queen 5 Minute Drum Chronology too
This was really awesome, and the fact that you payed attention to early AC/DC, referred to the Australian Bon albums and approached it like Aussies was awesome! \m/
Julian's Vinyl Channel ikr I’m Aussie and I appreciate their Aussie albums cuz they suit the Aussie culture

Cool to see you branching out with not only classic rock instead of punk, but having guitar as well. :)
The Doctor!
Such a good guitarist, love his work in Frenzal Rhomb.
Sabbath.
do it
That would be cool
Incredible, always continue to impress me with your playing and quality! You're videos are top notch, thanks for the great content Kye!
Queen drum chronology
please do a led zeppelin chronology!!
I would love to see you do a Def Leppard chronology with one arm past the songs of pyromania album
Connor Kovach I agree except not with one arm because then you'd need Rick Allens' custom under kit
HWBotbyl I heard that the drums on that album were 90% programmed by Mutt Lange with Rik just playing hihat live for the human feel. Given that Rik was still recovering from the accident at the time it's not unbelievable.

Tombstone Harry Studios I thought the drums were programmed yes, but rick really played them. he had played a show with them before the album came out
max van der horst Mutt Lange has always been a control freak so he could be exaggerating. I definitely believe Rik played the majority of the drums on the album, but as he was having to come back from major surgery I don't doubt he was helped in the studio whilst he got back to full health!
Tombstone Harry Studios But i doubt it was 90% though
I'm Canadian and I saw AC/DC in Montréal on their Rock or Bust tour, I'm a huge fan of them and it was such an awesome show
I sure I'm not the only who thinks led Zeppelin would be perfect.(like if agree ,maybe they'll make it happen)
The transitions from song to song were literally genius. 👍🏻👍🏻
RAMONEEESSS CHRONOLOGY
Auker Queen Lol that one would have more similar sounding songs than this AC/DC one!
xNimrod97x yea but the difference is FUCKING PUUUUUNKKKKKK
Something about AC/DC just pumps me up
Every song they played are my favorite AC/DC’s songs
The guitar tone is spot in!
Lindsay is serious business. Great vid!
Also, sick snare from Wail City!!
Bad Religion, Anti Flag, The Real Mckenzies, Iron Maiden, Metallica
can you do a led Zeppelin drum chronology please
He hasn't done it yet but someone else already has if you're still interested.
Ac/dc is simple but affective and thats what I love about them.
keep this up!!
i still have hopes for one day that you do Streetlight Manifesto!!!!!!!!!
This may be one of my favourite videos on the internet.
Some of the guitar parts are spot on! I love it!
great Australian guitar players
Angus Young, Chris Cheney, and my personal favorite, the doctor McDougall
Hardest don´t headbang challege for sure.

What a great production! Loved the camera moviments and the way you guys are playing in each scene
Really enjoyed that.
awesome job guys keep continue the good work rock n roll guys vincent from france
That sound is perfect
awesome work made guys, watching your chanel when you made drum chronology for Green Day, and sound was always nice but now video is too awesome, respect to you
Scrolling to the comments to see if anyone else noticed Thunderstruck being played wrong, everything was great other than that tho!!
How is it played wrong? It's the second phrase, not the intro of the song.
Lindsay McDougall Ye and he(edit: you?) played that wrong. Listen to the song again.
Lol, that moment when hes talking to the the guy actually playing guitar in the video. OH MY GOD MUM CHANGED THE LOCKS
Wait, you mean going back to the 7th fret instead of dropping to the 4th?

Amazing Guitar Play, you are getting the acdc sound wow!!
Single greatest video ever made. 🤘🏻
Thats pretty cool whoever owns that switchyard let you guys film there. That's a big fucker. Good use of PPE too.
Thunderstruck was a little off in the guitar...
How? It's the second phrase in the song, not the intro.
Huh? Are there different riffs throughout the song?
Yeah there's the one that starts the song, where angus alternates between hammering on the 4th and 7th fret with the 5th and 8th fret on the b string (intro riff) And a few bars later angus changes riffs to a descending one, starting on the 12th, and making its way down, which is what you're seeing and hearing here.

Magnifique , Amazing 🤙👍
So awesome! Love the video editing as well 🤘🏻🤘🏻
This is so good.
Awesome stuff dude. I hope you do Pearl Jam and Queens of the Stone Age
i would say rush chronology, but theres no way it could be done in 5 minutes.
Gabe Is A Wizard and that’s exactly when it happened
It could be done in 10-15.
Yeah, it could be done in two or tree minutes.
Having a kit similar to Neil Peart's would be probably the hard part to emulate though...
Dude, one song wouldn't be done in 5 minutes.
This is awesome what a chronology!
Que show. Essa banda é minha preferida e com muito orgulho digo que ela é uma das maiores da história do Rock'N Roll.
