@@natarajthegoat Permutation and combinations is a very important topic. Why? Because you will find out later that it is used everywhere. Without Permutation and combinations you cannot solve probability questions. And probability is very very important. If you are in computer science field, then you must know probability. Machine learning jobs all require probability and it's one of jobs that is highly in demand. Many companies also give aptitude questions in the first round of the interview which has Permutation and combinations.

Question :- Ma'am why are we not considering repetition of 4 I in MISSISSPPI but considered the repetition of vowels in DAUGHTER?

the 4 I's are the same letters.... if I write IIII or IIII it really does not make a difference, does it? but in the latter case, the vowels are different... so writing AUE is different than UAE or EAU....

*Basic counting principles*
1. Multiplication Principle:
if there are N ways of doing 1 thing & M ways of doing another, then there are M×N ways of doing both things together.
2. Addition Principle:
If there are M ways of doing 1 thing and N ways of doing another thing, but both cannot be done at the same time, then there are M+N ways of choosing one of both the things
