He was forced to marry a woman he did not like and then was abused by her. His own father doesn't recognize him and bought him a friend so he doesn't have to bother with him. He has to take drugs to feel good or at least not completely like shit in a normal day. And his true love keeps him on distance because of fear while actually loving him back. My man stolas really has a hard life.

Two fun facts:
1: Paimon gets mad at Stolas for bowing down to Blitz, and we never see him doing it again (at least not in a respectful manner, just to reach Blitz's height) until episode 7 when he finally does it to say goodbye to Blitz in a respectful manner showing that he sees them as equal
2: about that same scene, it's also the first time he ever calls Blitzø by Blitz instead of Blitzy, which makes sense since from that point forward he's trying to be more serious about their relationship and his feelings towards Blitz, so he wants to show it by treating him respectfully instead of taunting him. And after that he keeps calling him by Blitz, even when he's angry like in seeing stars (when Blitz calls him to tell about Octavia and the grimoire and Stolas comes to the office screaming Blitz's name)
