Wild that Manchester was the UKs 3rd busiest port. Must have been one of the very biggest in the entire world at that time, too. Shame containerisation killed it off. Peace and love Geekymanc.
@ReetBoaTellThee, I'm not 100% sure. I've had a look but not been able to find any data. It certainly would of been a very big size and super impressive being almost 40 miles from the sea.

There was a chemical factory in mill Brook too in the 1980’s
