We will be traveling to see them play the Cardinals in St Louis in May. We surprised our MO grandsons with tickets at Christmas. So I have been so excited to have the season underway. The things you learn on Flosstube! I honestly didn’t realise that you guys didn’t get Easter Monday as a bank holiday as well! We have Good Friday and Easter Monday in the UK so it makes for a lovely long 4 day weekend for most. But not if you’re my husband who is a chef and only gets today off (Easter Monday). Must dash as we’re off to make the most of it and take our boys in a National Trust Easter trail. Have a lovely stitchy week and enjoy your crockpot crew meet up xx

Easter Monday is one of the holidays the university gives us during the academic year. It's nice to have an extra day to celebrate the risen Lord. Now, when it comes to baseball, I grew up in what was then a Cardinals area. I now live in Braves country, but since I lived so many years in Cincinnati, I will be cheering on the Reds! (In fact I have a cross stitch piece celebrating their 1990 world series win. I gave my t-shirt to my nephew who decorates with baseball memorabilia since he is a coach.

In Australia Easter Monday is a public holiday (we also used to have Easter Tuesday as a public holiday as well, but the Accountants got to it....)- I think it's 'compensation' for the fact that Easter Sunday is already a day off. We often have weekdays declared as public holidays if the occasion is on a weekend (eg. if 25th December is a Saturday, the Monday and Tuesday will be public holidays to account for Christmas Day and Boxing Day). We're not called 'The Land of the Long Weekend' for nothing! I enjoyed your video again, as always. Happy stitching!

Oh Pam! That big motif that you have left on your #pamssurvivalsal is the one that gave me the biggest headaches. I joined the fudging not fixing club for that motif. I will be at stitchcon weekend B with my mom, who I stitched the piece in honor of. She’s a 24 year breast cancer survivor. so hope we get a chance to meet you. And I think it would be cute to have get a pic of our pieces next to each other. I did mine 1 over 1 on 28 count.
Those masks! Part funny, part creepy 😬😆😬. That Anne of Green Gables fabric may have recently been rereleased, but it originally came out about 6-8 years ago. I bought a bunch of it and made a quilt from it. @carolinacajuncreates

I am watching now, but I want to comment. Me and my family are baseball obsessed. Mostly Cal State Fullerton Titans (if you haven’t heard of them, local college that is a baseball school. Phil Nevin, Mark Kotsay, Justin Turner, Michael Lorenzen… and more came from the school). My MLB team is the Angels, but this is the first year that I am just not excited. I really wish Arte would sell the team, or go away. But my new baseball star is my nephew who started little league last year, and actually who is on the Cincinnati Reds this season! Hope you have a good season though.
I don’t follow much baseball anymore, but got to see the Orioles a number of times as a child during the era when both Ripken brothers were playing, and every time we went to a game, the Yankees beat the Orioles. Fast forward 30 years… I married a Yankee fan. (He has lots of other very fine qualities, and he doesn’t really watch or follow it that closely so it doesn’t usually come up that often. Thankfully. Because I still hate the Yankees.)

I am watching now, but I want to comment. Me and my family are baseball obsessed. Mostly Cal State Fullerton Titans (if you haven’t heard of them, local college that is a baseball school. Phil Nevin, Mark Kotsay, Justin Turner, Michael Lorenzen… and more came from the school). My MLB team is the Angels, but this is the first year that I am just not excited. I really wish Arte would sell the team, or go away. But my new baseball star is my nephew who started little league last year, and actually who is on the Cincinnati Reds this season! Hope you have a good season though.
I don’t follow much baseball anymore, but got to see the Orioles a number of times as a child during the era when both Ripken brothers were playing, and every time we went to a game, the Yankees beat the Orioles.
Fast forward 30 years… I married a Yankee fan. (He has lots of other very fine qualities, and he doesn’t really watch or follow it that closely so it doesn’t usually come up that often. Thankfully. Because I still hate the Yankees.)
