screw already came with Blue LT - lots of folks skip the torque wrench, actual real shooters, and go snub plus an 1/8 turn or so. I have tested torque wrenches and unless calibrated fairly often they go out of spec. Bob in Nevada
I didn’t take any chances with the SCS screws on my G45, I went with the Battlewerx screws. I don’t wanna be that guy with the screw breaking off in the slide.
Looks like battlewerx has a couple different height screws for the scs mos. What size height did you order in order to install the sight? I’m looking at getting them for same reason you did.
Good idea. My Holosun did get loose for the same reason his probably will. I took off the plate and screwed the optic on but forgot to clean the factory oil out of the mounting holes on the slide. The blue Loctite on the screws did nothing. The optic was a little loose after a hundred rounds at the range. I took it back off and cleaned out the screw holes with alcohol on a Q-tip, then added new Loctite and torqued it back down. Been solid ever since. Lesson learned.
@@mikeprice8307 You don't need suppressor sights with the SCS, the SCS mounts directly to the slide and co-witnesses with ironsights. Most RMR's require a mounting plate and they tend to sit much higher.
I installed one on my Glock 19 and love it. It's even easier to install if you take the slide off.
The pleasure of having this beauty
Clever design
Such a clean look
Lock tite and proper torque are keys to a reliable mount. You missed those. Marking the screw heads helps if issues before problems tol.

Lamp and kitchen lighting won’t charge these things u need sunlight, I sold mines thinking it was tweaking.
Where to get a replacement for the little plate in the rear he un screwed
The instructions suggest using Permatex blue threadlocker on the mounting screws.
yes i bought one a few days after then reinstalled it again with new screws :)
How long did the screws from holosun last?
There is no mounting plate needed?. Clever design.

where did you get a green label Glock are you out side the us i believe green labels are us made Glocks for export
Hello sir thanks for the video, can you see the green or red dots better? I’m wanting the Holosun with the ring around the dot thanks
yes. i prefer the tiny green dot though compared to the one with Halo. makes me see my target better :)
Just an idea you should get some paint pens to mark the screws should they move on you.

Thank you for suggesting. I will do that :)
@@RonnieWanKenobi17 so why is everyone saying these MOS versions need tall suppressor sights for these RTRs?

@@JSpidey do you mean stock height sights? Glock sights are not iron.
Any reason for not using the lock tight screws?
Cause it already has
You better torque those screws or you will end up like me finding a gunsmith to remove said broken screws
Hmm. No adapter plate needed for the SCS? Noted
So why is everyone saying these MOS versions need tall suppressor sights for these RTRs?
The scs is a direct mount unlike the other ones that require mounting plate
The screws break
Does it hold its charge if left in the gun case?
Yes, it only needs Alot or light from time to time.
Hey a question, os the slide which came with the pistol steel aluminum or plastic? it sounded heavy when you put it down
old ones metal new ones plastic
@@hamishalexander5048 false all glock slides are metal
@@venemous8884 He was confused and thought the OP meant the mount cover (forgot the official name). Those are plastic now, they used to be metal.
walang plates?
Great video. I think I'll get one.
Tu sert à quel couple ?😊
There is no mounting plate needed?
Not for the MOS slide variation for glocks
I don't know why but it weirds me out that you didn't take the slide off
Why? That weirds me out that you think that’s weird…
😂😂😂
I didn’t notice til I saw your comment and now I think it’s weird too 🤣
So the adapter plate isn’t needed?
not on this holosun model (SCS)
Umm where’s tha optic plate
Ummm, doesn’t need one.
You should have removed the sticker. It’s in the mounting channel of the optic.
What sticker?
Oh I see it now. Wonder why it has a sticker on the bottom. None of my 3 Holosuns have a sticker there
