In this video i am showing how to hard reset Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II and after resetting how you can pair these earbuds with a new device. Its a 2 step process and i exaplain each part one by one. I am also showing how you can pair it again using Bose Music app.

I had an issue where my right earbud was connecting but not really. It wasn't making the loud and annoying connect noise the earbuds always make when they first go in your ear, so I knew something was wrong, and it was weirdly dampened. That freaked me out because I had a pair of raycons before this where one day the right earbud inexplicably did the exact same thing and has never worked properly since.
Then I followed the instructions of the video and it's all fixed. THANK YOU!

These buds are a hot mess. The connectivity problems will persist until Bose updates the inherent stability problems. The fix will come in an update, so try that every couple of months. It's really a shame these buds are so cranky, they truly are some of the best sounding on the market.

Can these buds be used with an existing app from Bose downloaded on my iPhone for the Bose qc i earbuds?
I have got and still use the QC i version and now want to use the QC ii on my phone as well.
No one at Bose replied to me.

This pair of earbuds drive me nuts. You have to do this once in a while. And it always happens when they are needed the most. So frustrating. Bose, please make a proper app for this, and make it easy to connect please.

Thank you. This is a very useful video. I've tried to reset my earbuds, because the left one stopped working. Every step worked very well up until the point where I tried to reconnect/pair them again. I pressed "connect" in the app and then continued to press the button in the back. But instead of a blinking blue light, I get a blinking white light and the app does not recognize them. Has anyone ever encountered such a problem before? Any tips on how to resolve this?
I am currently experiencing the same issue with my QC Earbuds II. The left earbud stopped working and the charger case does not have the blinking blue light when I press the back button for 30 seconds to reset.
Also got the same problem, except I only have a red light showing on top under the lid. Not blinking, just being red. Can’t even try to pair the headphones, nothing happens when I press the back button.
It does flash a little when I hold it for 30 seconds but then it stays red afterwards..
Also have the same problem. Does not blink blue just white. I cannot hard reset basically. Help 😢

Hello, I have a problem with the brand new Bose QuietComfort Earbuds Headphones
Namely, when I try to connect these headphones to the phone via Bluetooth, the headphones connect to the phone without any problems.
But there is one problem - there is no voice, no sound at all in the headphones?
What could be the reason for the lack of voice? Are the headphones damaged or is there some other problem?
My right earbud is dead. Won't charge (shoes amber charging but won't charge). Right earbjd won't turn on after long charging times. Left earbud will charge to 100%. Issue is that without the right earbud working neither will work. Cleaned charging ports and everything. Charger port also won't reset after holding the button. No blue lights at all. Charger port issue?
According to the manual, this procedure needs to be executed 3 times in a row for a true factory reset. If you perform it only once, it will only clear the Bluetooth device list. I can confirm that this is correct. I had an issue where the right plug wasn‘t recognized by the case anymore. So it would not turn off when inserted. Only after the factory reset (3 times this procedure) did it work correctly again.
The factory reset worked when you get an additional 3 seconds flashing amber light at the end (in this video there is only a white light at the end, so this is *not* a reset, only a device list clearing)

Sure, just google „Bose Quietcomfort Ultra Earbuds Manual“ and you will find the document 885502_OG_QCUE-HEADPHONEIN_en.pdf“ and then on page 64 you will see the instruction for factory reset.

I can't see that in the manual either, and it didn't work for me.
Sorry you are right, that procedure ist only for the Quiet Comfort Ultra earbuds.

Great help, thank you so much. These buds are bittersweet... I despise the firmware. Need a hard reset every 2 weeks or so, this is pathetic. BUT... they sound so fantastic, and the noise cancellation is so good, I am forced to keep them. I won't send them back. I understand all earbuds can be problematic. I will live with the problems, but most people won't, so... BOSE, if you are listening, P L E A S E fix the connectivity problems on the QC2's!! They really are a hot mess

nope. and when it goes dead, and you have connectivity issues, you must charge asap to get them working again. It's frustrating

I had the same issue with one earphone. Had reset twice fixed this problem. In fact after following all steps the earphones went from 70% charged on left ear and 20% on right ear to 100% charged on left and 80% charged on right. Whatever the software bug is corrected itself so the earphones are charging it’s just the software not detecting the change in %. Follow these steps once or twice and you’ll notice your earphone will charge again.
