- In this video I will show you how to fix AirPods Pro not charge. I will show you the best way to fix AirPods. Recently, I was having issues with my AirPods Pro not charging and I could not find a video with an easy way to fix charging issues with AirPods. So I had an issue with my AirPods Pro not working on one side. After doing some research I think I found the best way to fix AirPods charging issues.

The AirPods charging case was charged but I noticed that one AirPod or Earbud was not maintaining a charge. I worked with Apple support to try to fix the charging issue with my AirPods Pro but their troubleshooting did not help.
I realized that the problem causing the AirPods to not charge was potential dirt or dust buildup deep inside the AirPods case. I found that using a q-tip or cotton swab would be the best method for cleaning the AirPods Pro case. After cleaning, I not longer has problems with my AirPods not charging.

Constantly. Left ear. Also a major issue because the airpod doesn't register that it's docked and just stays paired with my phone, ensuring that the battery will be at zero when I pop them in the next morning.
Just tried the q-tip fix and I got a good connection much more easily...hopefully it is that simple! Thanks.

My AirPods have been acting up for over a month. I’ve cleaned them before with a qtip, but I never tried putting the qtip in the air pod hole, as I didn’t want to damage anything. Literally after 30 seconds of doing that, they started working again. You’re an absolute life saver!

I’ve had this same issue with my AirPods Pro that I bought 2 months ago and it’s always the right side. Looking to see how many others are having the same problem I noticed that the majority who are and it’s also the right side.
I’m not new to Airpods or Apple. I’ve owned several sets of AirPods and none of them have ever had an issue like this where just one won’t charge and I’ve had some pretty dirty cases before with dirt and gunk that you can actually see down there and still never had a problem with them charging.
It makes no sense that the AP Pro’s would be this sensitive to dirt and gunk. Personally, I think the right side connector inside the case is loose and when think we’re “cleaning” the contact points inside the case what we are actually doing is pushing the connector back into place until it loosens again over time and charging stops until we “clean” the connector points inside the case again!
I really don’t think this issue is a dirt issue, I think it’s a manufacturing issue, especially if this many people are having the same issues and many of them the problem exists on the right side only!

Thanks for posting this! My left AirPod pro was near dead for two whole days and I tried everything to get it to charge (connect/disconnect; Forget Device; Re-pair etc.). Took a cotton swab doused in a little isopropyl alcohol and cleaned out the left and right wells in the charging case and that did the trick! It's funny cause the same thing happened to the right AirPods about 2 weeks ago. I think that you need to clean your AirPods and the case regularly to prevent this from happening. Probably the slightest amount of contamination (like sweat and body oils) can get in there and prevent the AirPods from charging.
I tried that it worked but then 2 days later the issue is back :(

Thank you very much for this tip it saved me the panic! My left AirPod wasn’t charging and I past it off as nothing and that it was just left somewhere but I was shocked when I opened my case to see it sitting there. I initially was preparing to face that I might have to get them sent in for repair for a few days. But all I did was use a very small cleaning brush and just like that my left AirPod was all fixed and charging again. Once again thanks man😄.

Even after I cleaned it, it still doesn’t work, it says it charging but it’s not, it stays in the low 30s and sometimes while it’s charging, the percentage drops to 20, 10, 5 percent till it dies.
I would try cleaning it again. Also clean the metal ends on the ear buds. It sounds similar to what I was experiencing

@2:30 FINALLY GETS TO HIS FIX -- clean the inside of the charging case’s metal points of contact with a cotton swab.
I already did that, but it was of no help.
I am not saying that this is going to fix every problem with charging. It is addressing a specific issue. Maybe try wiping down the metal on the earbuds as well
@@JameyKocan Thank you for the suggestion. I should have mentioned I already did that, too. In desperation, I also tried licking the metal part of the posts (I told you I was desperate, lol), which had worked a few times in the past, but unfortunately not this time.

I’ve had a problem with my AirPods Pro case only showing the light occasionally and not charging at all when plugged in. Sometimes I will get an orange light when I plug the case in, sometimes I don’t, and when I open the case, I don’t get any light at all. Wireless charging has not been working either. Is there any fix to this, or should I just buy a new case, or new pair, all together?

Ok guys I found a fix too just put your AirPods all the way in and shake the case and then put on the charger make sure it’s not the USBC type. With more amps it seems like the AirPods don’t like it then open it and you should see the red light and then boom ur done it’s fixed
Dude thank you!! I did the que tip thing with no luck. Shaking the shit out of my case with the AirPods in them got the problem earbud to actually stay charging.
For mine I dropped mine (without a case). When I tried to connect it wouldnt show up the light to show if its dead or charged doesnt show up anymore. Ive charged it nothing is working.

I truly appreciate this tip because I so was not going to no Apple store for this minor fix I can do myself ....my left AirPod suddenly stopped charging and I did the exact same methods as you let it charge for a bit but then woke up to it complex dead & just the right ear working .
I would make sure you really get around the metal parts on the inside of the case as well as the metal ring around the earbuds themselves. This is not the only fix but I found this to be what helped the most common charging issue
