Glad you are getting back to what Bali can and should be all about for folks. I hear so many stories about folks leaving for various reasons, but I am hearing a common theme that folks getting caught up in the hustle and bustle and not getting connected tot he island itself, its people, its traditions etc. I love Bali because of its community. Yes it is beautiful and yes it is vibrant on many other levels, but it is the sense of community that sets it apart from so many other places. I think you are connecting with that again. I think also people get too caught up in being at the trendy spots, getting the IG photo and they miss out on being present for those lovely moments of connection ♥️ I tried hard to capture some of that in my videos so people could see how special those little moments are 🙏🏼

Glad your on the mend slowly. I was sick In Bali last year, first time there and thought I was doing everything right. Had the hotel Dr come out for the needle in the butt and some antibiotics. Had to fly home sick, that was fun! Took me weeks to get better though even once home. Can’t say I’m keen for another Bali trip anytime soon. Truly hope your feeling much better.

Also, if they have something equal to gatorade drink that all day. Oh my gosh it was such a relief to have him there! When I went to the hospital I had nothing with me but cash, phone charger and passport. Having him there to bring me clean clothes and help get my luggage sorted… it just made a world of difference!

Your dad is so sweet. You don't look well enough to travel Phoebe. Take a break. Just relax for 2 or 3 more days until you feel better again. Here in the Philippines we have a word called "binat" meaning if you got sick and do your usual chores instead of taking a full rest for a given time the doctor advise you to rest then you will experience "binat" or being sick again far worse. Give yourself time to fully recover Phoebe. Your health is very important first and foremost.

At least for us who cannot do travels due to our 8-hour job. If you want a full experience of the Spanish era in the Philippines then visit Las Cas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bataan (if you haven't been there). You will see how affluent the Spaniards are during the invasion for around 200 years if I am not mistaken.

Been following you + so happy to see that you’re on the mend. Curious…did they figure out what got you sick? Was it food poisoning? If so, any tips on what to avoid eating? Or, was it just a fluke thing. I once had severe food poisoning & like you while traveling solo. I was hospitalized. It happened on the border of India/Nepal & the hospital was like something out of a war movie…shattered glass, people screaming/dying in a huge room we were all sharing. Soooooooo glad your dad came to help you. It’s so scary to get sick when solo traveling!🤗
They said it was a bacterial infection but im still at a loss as to how it happened! I literally filmed EVERYTHING I ate 😂 I was editing the videos thinking ‘was this it?!’ Studying every bite. But the doctor said it could’ve even been picked up by touch - frustrating. Omggggg noooo that sounds so scary!!! 😩😭

As well with your sickness.. as my Son Has just got back from Bali on Sunday, had Bali Belly on Thursday last week,.. since he has got back from Bali now home back in Qld, Rocky. My son has had acute hives for the last 24 hours.. Bit scary antihistamine working?? Did you go on clean foods.. I'm wondering if My son has parasites??

Most doctors will prescribe you to take two Temple of Dooms and if problems persist try a Raiders of the Lost Ark. I'm glad you're finally on the mend, hang in there, you'll be back to full strength in no time 🙂 I have an idea for content that would be super gentle but also very informative and interesting. Could you maybe do a breakdown on your equipment and techniques? Something along the lines of "Vlogging Equipment in 2023." I love getting a peek at the gear people use 🙂
