Joking aside the Numenoreans are supposed to be long lived and have slightly different aging process...except that the show doesn't seem to acknowledge that. "...they grew at much the same rate as other Men, but when they had achieved "full-growth" they then aged, or "wore out," very much more slowly. The first approach of "world-weariness" was indeed for them a sign that their period of vigour was nearing its end. When it came to an end, if they persisted in living, then decay would proceed, as growth had done, no more slowly than among other Men. Mithril is not a new substance found in the second age , it was used in Valinor , Eärendil’s ship that sails the heavens is made of it … with the last of the Silmarils on his brow At least acknowledge the lore changes
Not to mention it should be noted that by logic of the story and world it was the discovery of mithril that CAUSED the foundation of Eregion as a realm, that was the CAUSE why Eregion even exists in the first place!!! The Noldor High Elves HEARD the news of mithril discovery and THEN established the new realm...it's basically a 'gold rush' scenario...a new resource is discovered and this causes wave of migration and establishment of new towns and settlements. Lotr appendix: "Later some of the Noldor went to Eregion, upon the west of the Misty Mountains, and near to the West-gate of Moria. This they did because they learned that mithril had been discovered in Moria. The Noldor were great craftsmen and less unfriendly to the Dwarves than the Sindar; but the friendship that grew up between the people of Durin and the Elven-smiths of Eregion was the closest that there has ever been between the two races. Celebrimbor was lord of Eregion and the greatest of their craftsmen; he was descended from Feanor." The Elves heard of the mithril and wanted to use the opportunity to trade and work with it.

Second the two Durins...there are ONLY ONE DURIN AT THE TIME..because in the dwarven beliefs each Durin is the supposed reincarnation of the Durin the Deathless. "Durin is the name that the Dwarves used for the eldest of the Seven Fathers of their race, and the ancestor of all the kings of the Long-beards. He slept alone, until in the deeps of time and the awakening of that people he came to Azanulbizar, and in the caves above Kheled-zaram in the east of the Misty Mountains he made his dwelling, where afterwards were the Mines of Moria renowned in song. There he lived so long that he was known far and wide as Durin the Deathless. Yet in the end he died before the Elder Days had passed, and his tomb was in Khazad-dum; but his line never failed, and five times an heir was born in his House so like to his Forefather that he received the name of Durin. He was indeed held by the Dwarves to be the Deathless that returned; for they have many strange tales and beliefs concerning themselves and their fate in the world." So there would be no two Durins certainly not as father and son...Durin III IS the king during the events of forging the Rings (so it would have been better if the young prince was Durin III, while his father is a king with a different Norse name, this way it would give some interesting dynamic, the special reverence of the dwarven people for the Durin and believed reincarnation..and these reborn Durins being look-alike to the original one etc.). That would have been more interesing explroation of the dwarven culture than...inventing for them a custom of a rock smashing contest!!!!!! As for Balrog, the Durin's Bane....IT'S THIRD AGE so it's not even compatible with the events!!! It took thousands of years of exploiting and mining and excavating the mines in search of mtihril to evne reach his hiding spot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
