Very cute. I like the character. But why does he look like he is always on ice? Sliding around the level like that? Maybe you are going for like a Sonic feel. Which then I would have that build up when he first starts moving but cut the momentum or slow it down very quickly when he stops moving so he doesn't slide around like that. Maybe have a button that turns on that momentum gathering run. Hold a button to sprint but don't to walk so he can easily walk around like when he was in that house.
