I grew up in San Diego and am familiar with the border situation. I also lived in southern Arizona near the border. The military used to set up water stations so people wouldn’t die in the desert. I was just angry about all of this, seeing it as a problem created by politicians. I hadn’t thought of the desperate people. Thanks for bringing reality to my attention. I am still very worried about enemies coming through but will adjust my attitude for mercy to the others. Preaching salvation to them and helping as best as possible is good.
Mercy has nothing to do with it. You do not make the world a better place by ruining one of the very few good places. Consider...every good thing you can say about what we accomplish through letting in immigrants....is ALREADY being done through our LEGAL system of immigration. We are MORE than generous. We have done MORE than our share. But you have to recognize the facts of self-preservation. Just adult reality.

I would say there is only one solution for all the problems and that is "The Gospel". Texas needs to assemble at the southern border and bow down on their knees and pray by speaking the word of God loudly at the border. They will see the best divine solution. Here, in England, we have serious issues with illegal migrants coming into the southern counties via the English Channel. It has provoked huge political debate and arguments in our parliament. However, I believe we need to look beyond the politics and see the opportunity for the Gospel. It is my view that God is bringing migrants into England to hear the Gospel. Many are coming from countries that don't have the same freedom to evangelise as we have in England. Indeed, there is clear evidence of sound conversions. Moreover, many migrants are more open to the Gospel than the so-called "indigenous" Englishmen and women! Let the churches take up the challenge and spread the word - Jesus is Lord! 😊😊
I cross the border daily and it hurts to see the immigrants with nothing but the clothes they’re wearing. Especially hard seeing the children and babies. People pray for everybody.
