  • What's up guys, here's a set we did in AK where we pulled em in and went straight to the tender to pump em out.
This video starts when we move to close off the net - skiff man comes around to help hold us in position while we bring the 12k lb net in.
    Enjoy !!

When I first got to Dutch Harbor I got a job Crab Pitching for Icicle Seafoods. I was 47 years old. They worked us for 16 hours a day with 8 off. I did that for 14 days straight. That was the hardest job I ever had because of the hours. THEN I found out where the money was. The Longshoremans Hall. I'm a Carpenter but I landed a job out of that hall as a Chassis Mechanic Helper for 12 hr days seven days a week $26HR. I was up there for 6 years and my last job was on the new Powerhouse for 49.95 HR 65-70 hrs a week. On that job my take home pay after tax was $2650.00 a week. That was the last time I worked because my back stopped me and had to go on Disability. I worked for over 10 years in pain due to a car accident and finally it got to be too much. I wanted to retire from the Piledrivers Union But only got 6 years in. I fell in love with Dutch Harbor. Some great people up there.

Your a moron it’s all about greed. With a capital MONEY MONEY MONEY.
Here in the US we got people on welfare that just are plan lazy that don’t work. I am sick of the system God did not intend it to be this way. But I seriously doubting there is a God for him to let all this happen. We have US veterans living on the streets homeless that can’t eat and can’t get any assistance. It’s all about money.

Also can you advise approximately how many pounds of fish this was? Wish I liked to eat salmon. I enjoy fish in general just have never really cared for the taste of salmon. ok..I realize that it is cold there where you are working and fish wont spoil so easily....but...i can see that you are having a tough time Stuffing all of the fish into the tank...why don't you discharge about 1/2 of the water in the tank and Then it would be easier and I believe more saving of the fish, to then stuff the fish into the tank...you can add water as the tank gets more full of fish,,,,right now it looks like you are going to damage a goodly number of fish and maybe even lose a good number of them,,,,,if you are almost full before this last catch, then why Keep all that you caught rather than release them as it appears you are going to waste them anyway......
