This is not the regular halibut, but what we call "black halibut" or Grenland halibut, not often over 15 kilos. Deep water fish. Minimun size regular halibut are 85 cm.
All the hate in the comments 😂 fools never look up regulations or actual size of fish in different areas lol they think they are like the giants off the west coast of North America… keep on doing what you do brother 👊🏽 haters always gonna hate!
Lots of small fish kept. Guess this is ok where you are in Greenland. In UK where I live fishermen are always moaning that they can't make a living any more but in the past they caught too many fish, removing fish that would breed in a few years, and now the sea is empty.
Not only small fish but big breeders too, depending on species. I'm not huge on monster trophy fish that aren't going to taste as good but are also still great breeders for the population. Apparently these don't get that big but responsible harvesting is always a good idea. I'm not entirely sure we saw that here.

Nothing seems to be too small.
He’s probably native so they have no restrictions on size or season, that’s the case here.
Hello! just a quick question won't your hooks tangle with the line next time you use it if you retreive it like that at 10:00 ?
@@wallace_lo They are untangled on the baiting process

Tiny fish
Good ethics in Denmark say 45 cm. as a minimum size for halibut, but good ethics are not used in Greenland. 😒👎
