Not sure if you can say where you are? But can tell you r at the best sound exchange in Wayne. That place and staff are the coolest without the attitude you find in some shops. Shout out to Anthony! He is very laid back yet so professional. All the best!
Saw Cinderella when they opened for Bon Jovi in the 80s ....they were great! And yes Frampton Comes Alive is a great live record! When I was 11 I wanted the vinyl for Christmas ,yes I'm old lol. Still have it!!!
In the mid 1980s, the owner of our local record shop said he couldn't even keep Cinderella albums in stock, that was literally his biggest seller. Remember, that was the era of Van Halen.
Have you ever come across any of the late Bob Welch's archival live albums? They're actually pretty decent because you hear him do a guitar solo toward the end on the live version of "Ebony Eyes" that is absent from his 1977 debut French Kiss. And I think one of those performances came from Cal Jam '78 - where he rocked with Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham - in Long Beach.
I’d have to go with one of the Kiss Alive albums or UFO Strangers In The Night. I did a Top 10 Live Albums, see link if interested ruclips.net/video/l6mpF6Bp4sk/видео.htmlsi=kA5F4ucKtJHqGvTa
That Rod Stewart Absolutely Live album is stunning. Still have my Lp copy as my cd copy was missing a few songs. Don't know if it's been properly re-released since then on cd. So many great Live albums! Cheers.
I like that Rainbow "On Stage"! But have you heard Rainbow Live in Germany 1976? It's even better! It has a full length version of Starstruck and a live version of Do You Close Your Eyes...it's GREAT!
I remember you showing us UK's live Night After Night album in a previous video. Did you know that some of the live songs on that album were new and on neither the band's 1978 S/T album nor its 1979 follow-up Danger Money? The title track is one of those songs, and it got significant airplay on album rock radio back in the day. My only problem with that live album is no Allan Holdsworth (who left in 1978) on it. Eddie Jobson's violin and synth solos replace AH's phenomenal guitar playing.
New Saxon tomorrow!!! Really looking forward to this! Interestingly there is an interview with Biff Byford in the Classic Rock mag I mentioned previously. He talks about how Brian Tatler came to be part of the band. Saxon with added Diamond Head !!!
@@BrendonSnyder usually I'd agree but all the shows are just killer, even though the sets are samey, the performances are so great you just get sucked in If you see it going cheap second hand I'd recommend it, nice book with it too.
Goos video man!! Where was the store you were in? You usually say in the beginning where you are. I recognized PREX at the very end. But where was the first store?? Thanks
I remember buying IRON BUTTERFLY LIVE at a Bradlee's dept store..cut corner bin, $1.99. "In-A-Gadda" takes up Side 2 with its lengthy drum solo. I bought the Commodores Live album back in the day. Good live performance, they could play. James Gang LIVE IN CONCERT...only complaint? Too short, someone ought reissue as a double album. :-)
Personally I hate when the live albums are changed with added in tracks to complete the show. Only because that would be like changing the running order of your favorite classic album. I don’t mind tracks added as a bonus at the end but don’t mess with the classic album running order IMO. Just release it as an alternate and keep the original.
@@BrendonSnyder I get it...read via wiki that the entire James Gang concert was 10 tunes. So, there's missing material from the original LP release. IF cds were around back then...maybe the whole show woulda been released? ;-)
That album came (very) much later then when the band was active; it's the only one I do not have from them and quite rare; I hear its having a rerelease so I might get it (this time), yes the different cover irritated me too.
I’ve been looking for that Kiss Alive 4 CD set for awhile, I didn’t think it was even in print anymore. Was that a brand new copy for sale or was it used?
@@BrendonSnydereven still it had a $29.99 sticker. I just in Nov found a like new condition used copy on Amazon for $50 and that was a deal because there were others being sold for $150-$200
This episode was made up of 4 local stores; Sound Exchange, Factory Records, Jack’s Music Shoppe, and Princeton Record Exchange. That’s why I didn’t introduce the episode with a store location.
The video is made up of 4 stores: Sound Exchange (Wayne, NJ) Jack’s Music Shoppe (Red Bank, NJ) Princeton Record Exchange (Princeton,NJ) Factory Records (Dover, NJ)
No, just noticed I was seeing a lot lately. I know there are a lot of people who prefer the live album too. So I thought let’s make a video that focuses on it for something a little different. Similar to how I’ve made Metal editions as well.
Wish they'd release 'Stevie Ray Vaughan: Live at the El Mocombo' as a 2-disc (CD + Bluray) set. Seems like a no brainer, so I'm guessing there's a reason why it hasn't happened yet. Fingers crossed!

Yes one location was Sound Exchange, the others were Jack’s Music Shoppe, Princeton Record Exchange, and Factory Records.
i saw Cinderella open for Poison in Houston in like 2006…i agree they’re great live
Cinderella was really good live....I saw them open up for David Lee Roth in 1986. Great show from both bands!
Wow! What a show that must have been. My favorite Glam Metal show was Poison & Slaughter in 1990.

Thank you Brendon for this video. Love the CD selection.
Some awesome ‘live’ vinyl there Brendon . Thanks for posting 😎🎸
My pleasure!

👍
Totally agree about Cinderella! And where was the best live album ever? Thin Lizzy's Live And Dangerous!

Great live cds 💿 I have alot of them in my collection
Great show 🎉
Favourite live album for me is Blackfoot 'Highway Song Live' Hits the spot, the chat, atmosphere, pure adrenaline fueled southern rock n' roll.
Just to add....'Alright London,I wanna here ya,welcome from Jacksonville,Florida,USA....
Atco recording artists Blackfoot'.....Classic!!!!

Love the Live from the Astroturf with Alice Cooper. Usually I don’t care that much for bonus DVDs but in this case it was amazing to watch.
Yeah that one was a great surprise for me too.

Awesome Live Album Edition!! Great to see what is out there.
Amazing places,so much variety
👍
Loving the music playing in the shop!!!
Cool 👍

That looked like a pretty full section of The Stranglers there. Full of LPs. Not in a shop in the UK so possibly some of the A&M releases.
You should grab the Nazareth Snaz album and the Kinks To The Bone album. Great live albums and decently priced.
I own the Kinks album
It's hard to believe that album has been out of print this long@@BrendonSnyder
Awesome video Brendon!! I love your channel!
You missed out on "quo live" you need to check out cold chisel " last stand" or midnight oil " oils on the water or rose tattoo " brunswick 1982".
I’ve tried Quo many times and they simply don’t do it for me.
The store playing Airborne are doing it right.
That was Sound Exchange. They’re always playing good music. Definitely feels like a music store when I’m there.
Did you check out the Thin Lizzy Live & Dangerous boxset that came out? A lot of repetition but the performances are so good!
No because I don’t dig the repetition.

The Clash "Sandinista!" is a masterpiece but not a live album...
Have you heard Fläsket by Fläsket Brinner? Great swedish Rock/Prog album!
Goos video man!! Where was the store you were in? You usually say in the beginning where you are. I recognized PREX at the very end. But where was the first store?? Thanks
Great outing, Brendon. I thought a lot of the house hard rock playing was AC/DC, but it seems to be a band called Airbourne.
Yes that’s who was playing. That’s while I was in Sound Exchange.

Hi Johann, the one I showed is the new re-release.
😎👍
👊
Anyone know where this store is? The first one?

Hey Brendon...no introduction. Where is this shop? I'd like to check it out. Thanks
Haha…no this video was made up from 4 different store visits. That’s why it’s a special edition focusing on Live Albums.
@BrendonSnyder gotcha...could you tell me the stores though? Always looking for new places to check out. Thanks

That is correct. But lots of other people love it and swear by it. 👍
