Only because this is a new account, I’m going to give an opinion. It’s only my opinion and not meant to be aggressive. My preference for videos is to not have any music while the person is talking. Hi, thank you for your channel. You are amazing upholsterer. I have been trying to find an upholstery channel that I can learn from. I have some wood, footstools, upholstery fabrics and some tools/sewing machine etc. All I need is foam/wadding. Thanks to your projects I am gaining tips and confidence to start my first project. I love your choices of fabrics/trims. I am looking forward to beginning my new hobby (upholstered footstools), and I am looking forward to watching all of your videos over time. Subscribing. Do not let negative comments get to your mind. You are doing an amazing job on your wonderful channel. So glad I found you. 👌
Love your new youtube channel, you've shared so many great tips already! Would love to know more about how you got into upholstery, starting the business etc. And agree about the red piping, it's the perfect choice!
I just found your channel and I enjoy watching you create these beautiful headboards and benches. You’re lovely! While the music is lovely too, it takes over your voice. Have a blessed day, Laurie from New Hampshire.
I was screaming "the red one, the red one!" while watching the video. So glad you picked that one. It just makes the headboard pop. Reminds me of Kit Kemp designs.
You did a wonderful job, and it turned out beautifully. I loved the fabric and your choice of the red piping, it looked rust on my screen but it was a perfect match for the print.
Wow! It’s beautiful! I love the print on the fabric. You do beautiful work. I’ve reupholstered a few things. I enjoyed doing it but it is hard work. I recently purchased a new staple gun but I haven’t used it yet. I’m excited to use my staple gun now that I’ve seen your work. Looking forward to your future videos.
All your designs are beautiful! I follow you from Argentina, you have inspired me!!! I have a question: What measurement is the thickness of the wood, or plate? Thank you
Beautiful work! What is the yellow edging called that goes underneath the fabric over the piping? Would love to hear more in future about how to gauge the tension when pulling the fabric down to staple, as well as information about webbing seats (if you do webbing on any of your projects). 😊
Just wondered the same! I found it : 'Card back tack strip' is 15mm wide and offered in a range of lengths to suit your end use. Card back tack strip is used at the top of backs and arms and also headboards or wherever else an invisible join is required. The tacking strip is laid over the underside of the fabric and tacked into place so that it forms a smooth, straight edge when the fabric is folded back over it, to create a straight concealed seam. Manufactured from stiff, hardened cardboard, or plastic. Never knew but definitely going to purchase this : ) keep up the beautiful work!!!
This music was much better than the last video I watched. Keeping the music soft helps your presentation of your skills and your work. The sound was perfectly fine with me, maybe the one who couldn’t hear you needs to turn their volume up.
