      Hello there! I am a NEET aspirant and i saw your comment about question 2 coming in JEE adv 2024! Can't this question be solved by simple symmetry? Like taking difference: flux through entire cylinder (ie Q/Eo) - flux through the two cones with there vertex at center (at charge q)?
      Moreover , is this topic a necessity or an alternative? As I even found its mention in HCV

    • @vidhandoshi6623
      @vidhandoshi6623 5 месяцев назад

      @@Niru_24105 Yes that's what we are doing. We are finding difference between the total flux and the flux through the two flat surfaces. But to find the flux through the two flat surfaces by a *point charge*, use of solid angle simplifies the problem. As you may know that flux is nothing but QΩ/4piε0 (Ω is solid angle) And then we can use symmetry to find through the other one.
      And I would suggest you know the concept of solid angle (though not necessary) since many questions of intensity in geometrical optics can also be solved by this easily. And as I am a JEE aspirant I can certainly tell you that most of the institutes teach solid angle to Jee students

      For such time, your own hand written short notes are required dear. Short notes were in 3-4 pages you complete electrostatics, in 1 page you complete gravitation etc.
      Keep revising them once a week.
