This is an amazing golf course and golf experience. The people are so kind and helpful. But, Rick, you had it too easy. The day I played there was a 20 to 25 MPH wind the whole round and it was 45 degrees F. I wore a long sleeve golf shirt with a golf sweater but was so cold I wore my hooded sweatshirt over it all day. I bought a beautiful Turnberry golf hat but only had it on for half of the first hole, the wind kept blowing it off my head. Still it is the best golf experience I’ve ever had. I highly recommend it.

Anyone else picked up that the score was incorrect? On the front nine he has that he scored 38 but actually the numbers add up to 37 and even on the graphics he had one double and three bogies (which equals +5) but then has an eagle and two birdies (which equals is -4) so actually only +1 at the turn. Then the back nine shows a score of 38 when it actually totals 39. So, 37 and 39 does actually equal 76 which is +5 but funny anyway. 👍🏻
I fully agree on the Club selection. That’s exactly what I have in the bag, lovin’ it. However I tend to disagree on the range finder. Had a watch and app before but the range finder boosted the accuracy to green by a mile, 3-4 strokes per round.

@@bertbenton3301 As long as Trump’s name is associated with this golf course an Open should never be played on a course owned by a convicted felon, a convicted fraudster and a convicted sexual predator! Never!
I got to play at Turnberry years ago and it's one of my fondest memories on a golf course. I do think it should be walked and the services of a local caddy should be retained. The gentleman who caddied for me was older and had been carrying bags at Turnberry since he was 12. It was worth the price of admission just to walk with him that day.
@ashleystanyer1468 Rick deleted a video of a fitting inTitleists fitting center, where himself and Guy were pretty obnoxious and rude towards the fitter.
@josephdavis7189 Guy was very unhelpful, chipping in his 2 cents when the fitter was going through the process. Rick basically trashed the driver, said it felt awful. The overall energy from Rick was off, and cold. He wasnt swinging very well, and it felt like he was taking it out on the fitter.
not a big fan of the voice overs, lets see the real golf weve always seen. hate to be a complainer, love the content, will always watch, just appreciated the journey we go on, the voiceovers just make it so unpersonal and rushed
Disagree. I think the voiceovers are covering for a poor start and some choice language in the filming - however I found them a refreshing change. Feels like the first couple of holes are always a bit ropey, warm up holes, and this enables us to speed through them and get into the better golf. We all want to see rick playing better golf.
you guys are aloud to feel that way, to me it removes us from the video, it to me, shows a level of not caring, thinking that he has to minimize a few bad holes, if any of us have golfed, weve been there, it happens, the opening double bogey isnt fun, but thats golf. do you sprint to your cart after a double and drive to the next tee as quickly ass possible? no. another day, another double. dont run from it.
@@giomusah2155I think because a lot of people were criticizing Rick’s behavior during the fitting. I get frustration happens a lot with golf but he was with Titleist at I think Woburn…like a “real” Titleist fitting center…not a local golf shop or something. And yeah his behavior was a little less classy than many people thought it should’ve been. I’ll say that he should’ve been a little more professional, especially in that environment

Fortunate to have played this course in 2000. It was phenomenal then, looks even better now. Thank you for the video. Brought back some great memories. Of note, my buddy and I showed up for our early June, 8:30am tee time in shorts and short sleeves. Our caddies were in FULL RAIN SUITS. I said to my buddy "we are in real trouble!" It was raining horizontal by hole 3 and stayed that way until hole 7. then the sun came out and it was a spectacular day. Caddies took our gratuities and headed straight to the pubs. Thank you again Rick for the great videos and all your hard work. Well done.
How can you ever be bored of links courses? Terrain and weather are essential components of our game. And I like a bit of roll over (maybe) better lies. Great we have some new ones (Kingsbarns, Dumbarnie, Trump Aberdeen) and some short eccentric ones too. Played some very good heathlands (Ganton, Moortown, Alwoodley, Rosemount) but grassy parklands are not for me and spare me please from those places with intrusive trees which have overgrown narrowing the fairways.
5 tips for Rick...1.) Warm up properly before a round...hit a small basket of balls...2 per club. Play 3 holes on another course. Then heed Arnold Palmer's advice on the 1st 3 holes (Focus extra). 2.) Learn to hit a "Lee Tevino Power Fade" on holes where your good DRAW is NOT a "good idea". Ben Hogan used a fade on tighter driving holes too (ie. long holes where you still need to use the driver...use a low-loft 3-wood if you can give up some length for accuracy). 3.) Heavy lies in the rough...carry a Stan Thompson "Ginty" 7-wood (Guy could have used it on hole #1 as an example rather than 2 shots to get out of the rough). 4.) Spend more time on putts to get a better feel for the speed. Practice to get a teardrop pattern where almost all balls "get to the hole" using Dave Pelz's Stats that state the best general putt would finish 17-18" or roughly 1.5' past the hole. So "center" your 6' circle about 1.5' past the hole which is saying that your range of 2nd putts would be up to 4.5'' past but not more than 1.5' short (on lag putts). Nobody ever ENTIRELY eliminates leaving the odd putt an inch or 2 short "in the jaws, but you can minimize that to a RARE occurrence that happens maybe once in 18-36 holes and NOT every 9! 5.) In heavy rough or "grass bunkers" around a green, use a heavy-headed (high swing-weight) Sand Wedge to avoid a fluffed chip/pitch and to ensure a proper follow-through and acceleration through the ball at impact. ANYWAY, YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT THE BEAUTY OF THIS COURSE!
Always love these videos. I look forward to Fridays cause I know chances are good there’s a new break 75 coming out. Just one person’s opinion, but I wasn’t a fan of the close captioning of the struggles of holes 1 and 2. I just love the raw content of walking through the numbers and club choice if you feel like doing that, but I’ve never been wild about the off camera close captioning. Peter Finch and the Bryan Bro’s do something similar depending on the content they do for their channels and I feel the same way. Like I said, just my thoughts there. I’d also entertain to see a collab or something for one of these break 75s, or have a guest (like a member of that course or a fan join you for a round).
I know it must be frustrating not shooting the right score or whatever. But, people like me and thousands of people that watch your videos do not break 100 let alone 90s or even get to play in courses like this… it makes it more relatable to watchers like me and other to watch the struggle it’s always better to finish it up with your heads up.. your vids are killer bro and keep my dude guy in here he’s awesome
I really do think Rick isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed. Up against the face in a fairway bunker, 30 - 40 yards of fairway to the right of the next bunker but instead he tries to take it over the next fairway bunker. No wonder he always has the odd shocking hole, his on course decisions can be just awful

An absolute travesty that Turnberry is not hosting the Open now, politics and golf at its worst play here. It’s a gem, enjoyed the viewing guys
I am sure the R&A would want to use it but would have no control over the owner turning up and making it all about him.
@@bertbenton3301 As long as Trump’s name is associated with this golf course an Open should never be played on a course owned by a convicted felon, a convicted fraudster and a convicted sexual predator! Never!
@@paulgibson7025 Exactly!! Spot on.
Dudes a convicted felon. He deserves to have it taken away. Can he even travel there as a convicted felon anyway?
@@block19row13 Turnberry was taken off The Open roster well before that conviction. So yeah... you're wrong. It was political...
WHERE IS THAT TITLEIST FITTING VIDEO, Rick????
Two people better than one. Good strategy. I enjoyed this.
Rick are you ever going to challenge the DOD King 👑 from The 757
Hopefully not
Carter would be so deep in Rick's head after the 1st hole he would have a meltdown..😅😅😅😂😂... unless the did a break 50 while drinking Highnoons..
Smashing course, some good golf. Another great video Richard.
Why did you delete the driver fitting video Rick?
Did you see the comments? 😂
@@sgttoxiiczz Unfortunately I did not! Have just seen a few complaints about Ricks behaviour online.
It’s called damage control
What behaviour occurred?
I actually felt awkward watching it. Surely someone on the team thought, maybe keep this one in the bag
One unusual video should not destroy many years of great work, lovely to see you back 🤩🤩 back to his best presentation
That's a fair comment.
Rick vs Keyboard Warriors series would be unreal
Rick is a beta. He'd lose
He’s better than 99.99% of his viewers lol.
Would actually love to see that
These are great videos. Appreciate your efforts Rick 👏
If you didn’t warm up on the range beforehand, we always allow a breakfast ball. It’s not like you’re playing in the Open.
Ditto!
....play to the rules, or the scores mean nothing. Fun is one thing, trying to post a real golf score is ONLY fun when you play to the rules.
@@mrrockerjimDon’t care, only weirdos don’t let you have a mulligan after a stinker on the first tee.
started out watching vid thinking how much I would love to play this course then after watching the half way house footage I was starving😊
Why even hit driver on 13? Hit 3W gap wedge all day and avoid the bunkers!
I’ve enjoyed all your videos. I’m so glad I came across them on RUclips. It would be awesome to play a round someday with you guys
Have you apologised to that poor fitter yet, Rick? Or just deleted the video?
Whats this referring too?
@ashleystanyer1468 Rick deleted a video of a fitting inTitleists fitting center, where himself and Guy were pretty obnoxious and rude towards the fitter.
@@joeyjoejoeshabadoo were they actually rude?
@josephdavis7189 Guy was very unhelpful, chipping in his 2 cents when the fitter was going through the process. Rick basically trashed the driver, said it felt awful. The overall energy from Rick was off, and cold. He wasnt swinging very well, and it felt like he was taking it out on the fitter.
@@joeyjoejoeshabadoo want see it now. Im interested, Guys always riding Ricks coat tails. Does my head in.
Another great round, All The Best !
not a big fan of the voice overs, lets see the real golf weve always seen. hate to be a complainer, love the content, will always watch, just appreciated the journey we go on, the voiceovers just make it so unpersonal and rushed
Disagree. I like the speed of the video this time and the voiceovers made sure that it wasn’t unnecessarily long.
Incredible golf course. That ninth hole is spectacular
I’m here for the comments after the (now deleted) HIT video and I have not been disappointed!
why was it deleted?
@@giomusah2155I think because a lot of people were criticizing Rick’s behavior during the fitting. I get frustration happens a lot with golf but he was with Titleist at I think Woburn…like a “real” Titleist fitting center…not a local golf shop or something. And yeah his behavior was a little less classy than many people thought it should’ve been. I’ll say that he should’ve been a little more professional, especially in that environment
The intro to this break 75 was epic…seriously impressive. Shout out to the behind the scenes guys.
I’d love to play this course, looks absolutely amazing. Shame we didn’t see more of Guys golf on here, but love how even when his golf isn’t going to plan he stays positive for himself and encouraging for Rick. That’s a good playing partner to have! Well done both look forward to the next video. ⛳️🏌🏼♂️👍
Rick's team is going to have a long day of deleting comments for this video. 😂
Actions have consequences.
Yeah, it's just bad. How'd they mess this up? The title is disgusting

Well done.
That intro bangs. Great production as always. Turnberry looks stunning.
Much appreciated!
It's Trump Turnberry
@jordanbomb32 is there another Turnberry? Excuse my ignorance. This is the Ailsa?
Imagine diving Dump any more money than he deserves. His trash shouldn't be advertised.
@@kennymackenzie298most likely a Trump glazer. Dw everyone understands u
Some tough holes but shooting the score you did with those rough holes is damn good. Cant hate a round with an eagle either 🦅 good video Rick and Guy!
I do enjoy break 75 but iam a bit bored of links course rick mix it up a bit please
Facts. He has the money to play anywhere on the planet lmfao
Change to Golf Sidekick. Matt knows much more than mr. Rick. 😊
I saw Rick in the clubhouse. He is younger and thinner than I thought. The camera really does put pounds on. Unbelievable course.
Too many sausage rolls. Trump 2024 baby 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Wait one sec! Where the hell was our sausage roll review!? Why else do I watch this channel!?
Love Rick always carries a wedge to the edge of the green 😂 The grooves will be in amazing nick. #alwaysputts.
Love the break 75 Videos so much!
Glad you like them!
@@RickShielsPGAWhere is the fitting video ?
Well, it's not like he immediately called himself out on making a dumb mistake? Or?
Love guy he's had some.of the best shots on the channel I have worse rounds than him prolly every time out and still have a blast good stuff lads
